    Chapter 10

By this time, besides officer Farley, Pete should know the names of all the EMTs as well as the ER staff. Jimmy had been out to his fellow nerd friends with no known problems at school, but also to his parents with mixed results. Pete meeting Mr. Breslen caused him to crack in a complete meltdown due to the constant threats by Jordan Turner to his family's future. @drpaladin calls it "The Turner Curse" and I agree. I don't know what the hell Mitch's problem is, but I think everyone will be happy when he moves on to college. The dark storm cloud that seems to follow Pete through life, needs to take a well deserved break.

    Chapter 4

I don't know how you always produce your funny GIFs, I have enough problems just pecking out comments. They are great, but i realize that they mean no new information or clues are going to be given. I have come to accept that fact. Emojis are as good as I can accomplish.

    Chapter 4

Wow, this case is getting complicated or is Ken's thinking making it more complex than it really is? Does he suspect someone connected to Joe, could be working this extortion from a different angle for a quick cash payoff? There are a lot of "what ifs" in this chapter. I am intrigued by this investigation.
  4. Well now we understand the need for Manny to have a loaded gun in his bedroom. Not sure I would believe the police assessment that all that was left of that organization had been arrested. Manny is going to be green-lighted to be Rocky's permanent guardian. Looks like smooth sailing ahead for all concerned. Fat chance of that, right?

    Chapter 8

It was good for Phil to get out into the real world again and enjoyed his non-institution meal with Colin and Jason when he explained his conflict with his son. Roger's grudge that has been held for over thirty-five years, is deep, and will probably not be reversed. The situation with Stanley, nurse Sullivan’s son, threw cold water on their good mood, was followed by a quick return to the nursing home. Phil's relationship with his wife Eloise was revealed to Colin and a lot of memories of that time in Phil s life. Very interesting chapter.

    Chapter 3

Well treat this as real case detective, gather evidence, listen to others, call in your fellow officers. What would you tell other victims families to do? Chin up and face the facts Daddy, please Daddy.

    Chapter 9

Pete was lucky that he found out about Mitch early in this so-called relationship, by Mitch's lying a-hole attitude and actions. This is a tough lesson to learn, but hopefully Pete will recognize the Mitch clones that are lurking around, all through life. Sorry to say but Mitch is not a one of.
  8. Was this meant as a prelude to the next chapter? I'm confused by this statement. Did he want or just decided to keep a gun in his room?
  9. This is the fifth story of the Kenneth Hall Mysteries series by @chris191070 and @hankster. I would recommend reading from the first story as our detective Ken Hall changes his lifestyle as we progress through the series. Don't worry, they are quick reads, great for short binge reading sessions. This story features Ken now with the help of his new crime investigating family unit dealing with foreign intrigue, missing females, with a unique dual investigation twist. Catch up with the gang and enjoy the readers comments of author harassment for cliff hangers, Red Herring misdirects, and our sometimes wild theories. They are all fun reads in a mysterious way.

    Chapter 2

Ken decides to meet with his daughter after hearing The Prodigal Son sermon at church. She wanted the first meet to be on neutral territory near Little Italy, so of course the detective suggests Vincent’s Copper Kettle. Joe being a bit of a detective himself, plans to run a DNA test on the two to confirm the family connection. Those rich people are just so suspicious that people are after their money. We shall see what turns up. Family or foe?
  11. Right now, Manny is probably thinking about Bass stuffed into a Speedo. 😃 This would be a lifestyle shock, without being responsible for Rocky, but Manny seems very easy going. Rocky will be his responsibility, but how difficult that job will be is the unknown. His relationship with his new "friend" Bass should help Manny to become the new boss of the house.

Love this comment! One less thing to worry about,

    Chapter 8

Pete's dinner was a big success, and his culinary skills were also apparent in his interview with chef Luke. The doctor's visit went well, and he is doing what he can,to be a 'team' player at practice. All is quiet on the bigot front, which makes me a bit nervous. I will let Pete worry about Mitch until there is more information available. Pete is such a remarkable young man for being only fourteen years old and Uncle George is a great mentor for him. Hopeful that the good trends of this chapter will continue (hint @Al Norris).

    Chapter 1

All seems calm except for the weather, and the boys are headed home for the holiday. The only clue to a case is the story's title, "The Abduction of Margaret O’Shea". I assume we will get around to that, and will see how "daddy" Ken reacts. 🤔
  15. Yes, but it is those pesky details that are the heart of any good story. Looking forward to seeing those details explored further. Thanks
  16. Love the set up for this story, is this also being written or refined as it is being progressed?

    Chapter 7

Although warned by @Al Norris in his comments in chapter 6 of a "ramp up" of the story, this chapter appeared to be the calmest one to me so far. Pete learned about the skills of coaching and lawyers. and marksmanship, and intends to use his cooking skills to impress the grumps. The bad guys were lurking, but no ramp up so far.

    Chapter 6

A quick ending to this interesting case and I am sorry the story is over. I knew Joe was rich, but he has to be filthy rich to pull off the small army he amassed in the story. The fact that the Kenneth Hall Mysteries that started with a single Ken going to a wild gay orgy weekend, and has evolved into a loving family of crime fighters, has been a fun and interesting ride. Well done @chris191070 🥰

    Chapter 37

Always very happy to see another chapter to this continuing story. Lots of logistics of friends, families, and employees. It is good to hear that their business empire is recovering post Covid. The Day of Reconciliation holiday was unknown to me,but Google provided the needed information. 😀 Even Rascal, enjoyed a holiday visitor!

    Chapter 5

Seven girls were rescued, hopefully Robyn's sister is alright. The case now moves back to New York City, Ken and Joe's home turf. Will Ken and the NYPD be effective at catching Ahmed, or will it be Joe and his consultants who find the answers. With kidnapping and Saudi Arabian nationals, the FBI should also have an interest in this case.

    Chapter 6

I thought the ramp up in this chapter (nation wide evening news, the Nevada State Attorney General and a Captain of the Nevada State Police) was quite impressive. Silly me. 🤗 @Al Norris must have other ideas about that. Hopefully the "ramp up" is for the bigots, and not directed towards Pete. 😱

    Chapter 4

@chris191070 was very generous in this chapter by confirming the clues shared in previous chapters. What's up with that? This is unusual for the author that stocks the red herring fishing holes that his stories are well known for. What am I missing?

    Chapter 7

I was ten in 1963, and my older sister graduated high school in 63 like Phil, but she was a freshman in college, but hundreds of miles away. As I was growing up, I was amazed by the stories my parents and grandparents shared about their lives, and the history they had witnessed first hand. My grandparents grew up from an Amish back grown and moved to our area (about 70 miles away) living on a train taking their farm animals with them. They said they lived in the train car for 3 days. They had bought a farm house but it had to be moved to their land about 3/4 of a mile down the dirt road. They had rigged the house to be moved rolling on logs, moved by mules and a pulley system, and lived in the house as it was pulled to its current location. It took many weeks. Talk about culture shock and history. No electricity, indoor plumbing, just a hard life, yet lived to see man walk on the moon and beyond. Sorry for rambling, but I too see reflections in the windows that @Ronyx has well crafted for us and hope everyone can also. It is a bit of a shock when our lives become history and the world moves on for future generations.

    Chapter 7

My family was also eating lunch at our dining table and watching the television that was visible from the living room when Lee Harvey Oswald was shot. We had stopped eating and had hoped to get a look at this man who was accused of shooting President Kennedy. We were totally shocked when a man jumped out of the crowd in the police station basement, and shot Oswald in front of eyes. This story tells a true memory of the state of shock the country was in since that Friday's shooting. I was still in grade school but this was a memory that sticks forever.

    Chapter 5

Poor Pete, now caught up in a national media frenzy and a political struggle. His injuries, now more serious and witnessed by the national media, on his way back to the ER. When will he get a break from his torment?
