The chapter is worth reading several times. You cannot understand and connect to all the bravery and determination and heroism in one reading. I will be reading it again and again.

Vaughn could not fathom Heyward's real motive for asking him for his opinions, but he is responding as asked. What happen next is up in the air. Vaughn keeps hearing of unsettled financial matters concerning Heyward, but thie issues do not relate to what they are doing now. The tour of the art is very fascinating.

Things are never normal for these two. Nathan wakes up from a 5 month slumber after being bitten by goblins. The evil ones are still attacking others at night. He finds that the guildhouse is very busy and successful. Late at night Nathan senses the demon and gets Brohm to go out with him to find the monster. Eventually, they find the very gig deon who wass for help. He needs to find his way back and needs help to find his portal. He says if he goes back the goblins will leave also. They agree to help him, but as of now do not know who to ask. Cormac sneaks up on them, and they are worried he knows too much. They need some to to think. Does the former monk have an idea about a portal? Should they contact the witch who helped them? Is Nathan still in danger from his bites? Who can heal Nathan?

This felt real--the uncertainty,the messes, the too long waiting, the inconclusive surgery. etc It would not be uncommon for Manny to have more surgery. I can see Manny, Bass and Rocky bonding closer. This maybe the one good result of the shooting.

The boys are placing themselves in great danger. Things always go wrong--The unexpected messes a good plan up and they do not have a good plan. The killer will be wary and likely willing to kill easily.

It is almost over. 3 godstrolls have been found and are in their nest on a new planet. If they can be killed then, then our heroes will have enough blood,. I hope the plan is successful.

Stawren was the main hero--Realizing they were going to be thrown into space, she kicked the airlock door and stopped from being closed at great pain. Fonith showed up and surprised and killed the enemy officers. They joined Fonith and flew Stawren to a Hope medical ship. Happily, she did not lose her leg. Luck and quick thinking by all when facing serious problems worked out this time. They are a great team.

They visted Dan's Gran. She finally learned he was gay. It took some adjusting. But, she wants grandkids. They both are not sure about having kids. "Gran didn’t so much accept us as resign herself.
