    Prologue

Thanks. This falling into the wrong hands would be dangerous, but as you'll find out, even the thieves would be stopped if they tried to use it. Never heard that, so I think I'm safe from plagiarism.

    Prologue

You really don't want me to answer this yet, do you? It is answered later, much later. I'll just say a lot, for now. And can it be stopped, yes, in a way.
  3. “Shit, shit, shit. I slept through my alarm again. Mom said she wasn’t going to wake me if it happened again. I guess she didn’t. Fuck!” Thirteen-year-old, eighth grade student George Dunlop rushed through getting ready for school. A quick run through the house seemed to prove his mom had already left for work. He ran out the back door, locking it as he left. He was lucky in a sense because he lived just on the other side of a wooded area from the school. He could get there in just a couple
  4. It had been a breakthrough day at Mission Critical Labs, a chemical laboratory. The chemists in the Disease Prevention Unit had come up with a formula that was rapidly killing cancer cells in all of their animal subjects. Unfortunately, one of the sample units was not put away properly at the end of the day. The cleaning crew believed it to be trash. This seemed a safe assumption since Fraser McLaughlin had accidentally knocked one of the test tubes into a sink. Patrick Towson saw it in th
  5. Prompt #9 - Creative scene by @wildone You run into school knowing you are late, again. You quickly stop at your locker and ditch your jacket and grab some books. As usual the halls are quiet during classes. You dash to your classroom, open the door and start on your explanation and stop. No one is there. No teacher, no other students. You leave and look at other classrooms, all empty. You check your phone and it is actually a school day and not a holiday or anything else. What's happening?
  6. Thanks. Always happy to have satisfied readers.
  7. I feel for you Tyler. Needing to perform with a girl/woman when you’d rather be with a boy/man. Even that magic blue pill doesn’t even work all the time.
  8. Yeah, I thought that would be a nice touch.
  9. Thanks much.
  10. Thanks. It sounds like that will be a common reaction.
  11. Maybe, but what if the two of you come up with the same half? Thanks!!
  12. As always, you're welcome.
  13. I will have to admit, the granola bars may indeed have peanuts in them, and the Slim Jims far from vegetarian. But the first two chapters meet these requirements.
  14. You think correctly. It's fully baked, out of the oven, and on the cooling rack, ready to be consumed. Think, tomorrow!
  15. Thanks. I do seem to find it Easy to be Hard.
  16. It is indeed the law, or was so when I looked it up. Surprising, for sure. Yes, the landlord does deserve what you suggested. I made the "fine" part of it something ridiculously high so it would be something Kevin couldn't pay easily. From Kevin's perspective, not fighting it was more of a "let's just put this behind me" than anything else.
  17. It being the seafood was definitely considered, but I wanted something that was faster acting, so the rice won out.
  18. He was lucky at that. Eric is definitely in love with Kevin, and vice versa.
  19. Not yet, anyway. Definitely a couple of their most popular songs. They went commercial at around that time. Their earlier stuff is much different, even the previous album, El Loco, with titles such as "Tube Snake Boogie," "Ten Foot Pole," and "Pearl Necklace." Very true, as I'm sure you found out in the next chapter.
  20. Noah was clearly touched by Kryštof's story, "Wow. That kid has been through the wringer. Losing two sets of parents, both violently." "Is he bad luck? I mean, if you decide to let him come live with us, will you get killed?" Bart tried to calm their son, "No, Mateo. Someone can't be bad luck. Many people go through a lot of bad things in their lives. He's just gotten a lot of it in a short time." Noah continued, "Agreed. The idea of someone being a jinx is simply due to a series
  21. Of course. The question is what is the manner of that death? A little of each? Good thing there are more chapters.
  22. Maybe, maybe not.
  23. I'll have to find a place to quote George for you, then.

    First Meeting

Thanks. You're just burning through them. Looks like I have a new #2 fan! Sorry, #1 is already reserved for someone.
  25. Oh, Jeez, Disco Duck. It can only be described as a mistake, even as a novelty song. I wonder if the 45 is worth anything? IIRC, I did buy it. But I have an excuse, I was a teenager at the time and a little immature for my 15, almost 16 years. OK, very immature.
