    Chapter 59 S2

Devin's practice will show how small an animal he can transition into. And they'd probably be able to get away with just a little bit larger opening. A typical dog door for a large dog has an opening of 10 1/8 x 15 3/4 inches. Not so different from a foot square. My son's shepherd/rottie+ mix has no problem getting through it. I think she's 60 or 70 pounds. Very similar to a black lab. Another thought I have is that perhaps a raccoon or chimpanzee would be more appropriate. The raccoon's paws are more like fingers and a chimp does indeed have fingers. If one or more stones needs to be moved for Devin to fit through, he wouldn't have to transition back to a human first to move them.
  2. I’ll be sending it to my editing team tomorrow. Hopefully no worse than Thursday.
  3. So, then I should wait a couple weeks before posting the next chapter?
  4. OK, no big deal. Just let me know when you’re ready and I’ll take another look.
  5. Yes, having a friend already there will make his transition easier.
  6. So sorry. You know where I am if you need to chat.
  7. Day 1 will be a hell of a lot less uncomfortable to explain than after day 7. No spoiler, but there is a big surprise in chapter 18.
  8. So it would seem.
  9. Hmmm, maybe a slipper. A little softer.
  10. Rod finds out Monday morning that Jerry Williams is indeed the Jerry Williams he knows. He's been upbeat all week with the prospect of seeing his best friend again. Over the week, he convinces the guys more and more that he's changed. Domenico is pretty nice to him and finally buries the hatchet after the whole gang spends all day Saturday together playing at a local park. They joke about the school being a prison, but they do have some freedom before curfew. Sunday October 23 We'll co
  11. And 22, apparently.
  12. Find out tomorrow.
  13. Your speculation may or may not be correct. I haven’t really given much thought to who or why. I will say it’s possible we haven’t met the, potential, real culprit. It may just be the water in Maine. Damn, you got me. Maybe I should have used another fictional town in Maine like usual. I appreciate the compliment thinking I could be Stephen. But no, I will admit that isn’t my true identity. Signed, Richard Bachm…. Um, William Conn… um, no… Dean Koo…. Oh, forget it!
  14. I believe you’ll get a hint as to why in the next entry in the saga. I leave some mystery remaining in this portion of the saga.

    Chapter 1

Thanks. I always am pleased when a reader enjoys something that may not be their favorite genre.
  16. I did once. I’ll check them again tomorrow.
  17. Better men than you have tried to break me. You’ll have to fire me.
  18. Not in book 1. Can’t speak for 2 or 3.
  19. No, what’s on second.
  20. I suppose that’s good for a murder mystery.
  21. And you haven’t even seen what I look like and you have an accurate description.
  22. Thanks. I think.

    Prologue

As you’ll soon find, his day doesn’t end well either.
  24. Along with my trademark warning. Well, not really.
