Definitely, a lot has been said, one of my most commented chapters, I'm sure. Brendan asks Nick about his two-day sojourn in chapter 5. It's nothing quite like that, but hopefully it will satisfy the masses. Medically? As the Litle River Band once sang, "Hang on, help is on its way."

Ooooh. I don't know about that last item. Aren't there limits to cruel and unusual punishment? That may very well qualify beyond what's allowable.

Thanks for the info, definitely food for thought. I've just started the sections about the kids' medical issues, so this should come in handy.

Very true that shit like this does happen. I have plans (some, already written in future chapters) to address the medical issues. As suspected, Steve's are a little more complicated.

Yes, there is indeed a per diem provided and potential for more for housing. Unfortunately, there’s no simple answer to “how much.” So we’ll just pretend Brendan will get some undetermined amount of financial help. -
It comes out later, but Brendan spent less than a week in the house of horrors. Doctors visits are in the queue.

They’re a matched set, to be sure. The trials start in chapter 12, so there’s a ways to go to get there, but there will be depositions before then. I have every intent to keep them alive until the trials. Alive and well, mmmm, that may or may not be the case.

TBH, I’m not sure patience is the right word now that I’ve finished the first cut of 11 and started 12. I may need to change my name and go into hiding by the time you all get there.

As I just replied to Anton, the professional help is in the works. Crabs? Interesting. How about crabs, fire ants, scorpions, and piranha? Although obviously not all at the same time.

@Anton_Cloche I know you've read other stories of mine, so you probably know I won't be taking it easy on these POS-rents. The discussion about the doctors begins in chapter 6, so "next chapter" isn't quite accurate, but that ball begins rolling downhill soon. Again, details come later because as you're probably aware, getting a doctor's appointment in short order doesn't happen very often. The details about the sellers' requirements haven't come out yet, but Brendan does have a discussion with them at the closing. I ask your patience in this regard; a lot still has to happen before then.

She probably got her training from spermie. Even though she was the oldest, perhaps their parents were stricter, and she never had an opportunity to abuse her brothers. Aside from kicking Brendan out, of course. Wow. I had no idea. I suppose when a movie is made out of my story, they can say 'based on a true story.' Okay, not really. Funny, I didn't.
