    Somewhat prescient here @centexhairysub Bass thinks they were killed rather than moved away, but he only subtly indicated that. The workers? Hmmmm. Maybe. Maybe not.

    Sandy initially had no idea what Manny was going to be like. The three rotten eggs were like an insurance policy in case he was an ass. No problems? Me? Let's just say Sunday has no major problems.

    Technically, he's a foster father. Perhaps there is a stipend from the state, but no, there won't be a salary. He has access to the funds he needs to care for Rocky.

    Sorry to hear about your dx. If it means shorter chapters to make it easier on yourself, by all means, do it. If it means bi-weekly, monthly, or randomly spaced chapters, do it. We can all be patient. You take care of yourself first and foremost.

    I don’t know, 34 doesn’t seem too odd to me, I was 25. Once you’re out of your teens and haven’t done it yet, there’s no hurry. Plus, you have to find someone willing, and Bass couldn’t. I know it took me a while. I can add some backstory on Bass, I think I have a spot in a couple chapters where it will fit. Thanks for saying it has been interesting. I still find it hard to believe a) how much I’ve written, and b) how well it’s been received. This one’s not even half over (I’m up to chapter 14 writing with a major plot point in progress), have another one started, and an idea for a third, shorter one. And it seems I like every new one better than the last.

    The first half of that could have technically hid in a spoiler post. Like Meat Loaf sang, you took the words right out of my mouth. Maybe not exactly, but people are going to read that in a couple weeks. If he’s a typical teenager, he doesn’t even know that. From chapter 2: He wasn't sure, but he thought he may have been happier about taking care of the kid than the money, he'd get for it. Very un-Manny like.

    Rocky will win his share of battles. Perhaps not against the adults, though. You may be right about the more pleasurable experiences. Time will tell.

    I’m going to go with complete virgin. No history has been mentioned yet, but Bass has known he was gay since very early on. I needed to turn my protagonists into better guys.
