  1. Perhaps you don’t consider Minnesota a Midwestern state. It’s America’s hockey hot bed. Not to mention that Michigan and North Dakota are strong hockey powerhouse universities. As of the 2025-26 season, there are 64 NCAA Division I men's ice hockey programs.
  2. Thank you. Yes, I tried to make this one of my happiest endings. Heck, there were no truly hateful characters that weren’t large players in the whole thing. A nasty family that had a cameo, and one quickly forgotten bigot.
  3. Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. Over 1.1 million words here, there’s plenty to keep you busy, hehe.
  4. Darren had bought a used 2021 Toyota Camry shortly after his eighteenth birthday. He let Luca drive it whenever necessary. This worked out well, because Darren needed to move in at ASU two weeks before Luca. On August second, Esteban, Aurora, Luca, and Darren drove to Tempe in Esteban’s RAM truck. Most of Luca’s clothes, Darren’s clothes and hockey equipment were in the truck’s bed. Luca would return two weeks later in Darren’s Camry with some more of his own clothes. Two weeks later,
  5. Ah, that last point is the key.
  6. Definitely not. I recently visited the latest chapter of Frosted Hearts a couple times. The views stayed at 343, at the time. Now, the title page said 345, clicked the link, and on the page it stills said 345.
  7. Yeah, I always thought it was one user, one view, but that’s apparently not the case. Just looking at ’Manny Needs A Nanny’ the chapter view counts are all over the place. The last chapter has nearly the most views of the whole story. Only chapter 3 has more (by 36). I’m thinking it’s not just the comments, but every comment like/love/sad… counts as a new view as well. Maybe @Myr can elucidate for us.
  8. Foolish indeed. But I allowed him to be lucky, as no Uncle Mark types were hanging around the neighborhood. You also recognized that he hid his true feelings well from his parents initially. That, and the town and street names are real. Michael was roughly 3 blocks from home when he encountered Dimitriy. It would have been awful bad luck to encounter someone like that.
  9. Yep, I don’t even let the good guys get away with too much.
  10. Dim is not the same as Dimmy. But in your case, I’d be willing to bet those folks used the terms similarly.
  11. Thanks. Michael’s not stupid and is very aware of his limitations. But, he’s a teenager, and teenagers just love to test the boundaries. Fortunately he has an older brother who has demonstrated the wrong way to do things many times for him.
  12. For example, if you like Westerns, you might get a sidebar that has the newest Westerns on it. While someone else might get Historicals. The purpose would be to make it easier to find things you like. I would hope something like this could be disabled based on user preference.
  13. Quite right in both cases.
  14. And the innocence of a small child. Brisbane, maybe?
  15. Yes, who knows?
  16. Michael felt the end of the curb and assumed he needed to turn left again. While he expected to be on 52nd Street, heading toward Allen Elementary, he was actually one block further north, on Coventry Drive. He reached another intersection and believed he was on the corner of 52nd and 23rd, with the school directly ahead of him. What he thought was the school’s parking lot, was actually the road continuing. He knew the school was set back off of 23rd by fifty feet or so. Forty paces later,
  17. It’s sad that Ollie and Cody are breaking up, but they’re probably right that a long-distance relationship will be hard to maintain. Also sad because it probably means this story is coming close to the end. One gets used to having characters in a story around. It’s like watching them grow up, but from a distance. You still feel a connection with them.
  18. I hoped you would like my modification.
  19. Wow. This hit me right in the feels. How right you are.
  20. It gets cold in Utah. Hopefully he’ll be a woolly 🦣!
  21. Thanks. Yes, they are.
  22. Yes, things are moving right along very well. Will this crazy author stay on that track? That is the question.
  23. HEA is intended, but shit happens.
