  1. Thanks. I definitely wanted to show that Ed perhaps wasn't in total control.
  2. Let me guess. The unicorn uses his horn to stab his victim in the heart, then laps up the blood?
  3. News travels fast, perhaps not quite as fast as the death cloud, but George's foster brothers are safe.
  4. Or maybe Wil-lee-am? Or a Chinese menu item, Chop Suey? Only simply deductive reasoning. A boy is killed in their neighborhood, they just happened to have escaped from a bully. Perhaps Ed exhibited more anger toward Claude than I implied? Or maybe just a guess. No, but I doubt Billy is wise enough to start planning for being financially responsible for the baby. He's almost fifteen, maybe he doesn't think his allowance is big enough and just wants a new video game, a la young Avery Noonan. Let's not forget Mr. Pipe Wrench. Abel probably did more to kill Joey Keys than Kathy. But it was a tag-team effort. But yeah, this was a pretty shocking action.
  5. Looking forward to the prompt event again. I seem to do really well with stories from prompts. My creature feature stories sent, as you know. What’s everybody else waiting for? Hehe.
  6. I think you may have mentioned that before. I wouldn’t wish that on anybody.
  7. All good points. We’ll have to see how things turn out for Ed, and George too, having made friends with Ed.
  8. Kind of hard to know something like that in advance. Prints? Probably if any, it’d be his father, who was likely at work.
  9. Comments are much appreciated. I love the interaction GA provides. I try to respond to every comment - except perhaps ones that are in response to another’s comment. Even then, I stick my nose in occasionally. I realize many don’t comment and that’s OK. Stories can get tens of thousands of views, so it’s understood not everybody does. Makes it more important to me to respond to the ones that do. Sorry I made your head explode by responding, hehe. Thanks for reading!!
  10. Yep, you understood. Ed simply cracked. More on this the next couple chapters.
  11. Awww, shucks. I guess Billy's not the only one not getting paid.
  12. I haven't delved into his past yet, but something more is definitely possible. True. A hint as to why shows up next chapter. Lie would be about all I can think of. And I doubt the way I've painted him, that's likely. Hmmm, maybe.
  13. I wonder too. I haven't gotten far enough ahead there to determine much in the way of clues. Wow. And to think, it was Todd that wanted to make money off ML. Nothing like any of these, that's for sure.
  14. I don't think I've ever had to accuse you of getting hold of an early copy of my manuscript. First time for everything, I suppose. Bubble, bubble, toil and trouble!
  15. What indeed? Billy gets paid if the expected does indeed occur. I'm going to bet that Nelson doesn't get blown on the first 'date.'
  16. I can try!
  17. Exactly: If someone were to look into his eyes at that moment, they would have thought he was drugged out of his mind.
  18. All of the new Tennesseans and their new "siblings" survived the rest of the summer without further issues. The three new "Dunlop" boys each had two or three successful child psychiatrist appointments between moving in and school beginning. The Ross boys and Marie-Louise each had one. In his travels around the neighborhood, George found another boy who would be heading into ninth grade along with him, Edward Lamont. Ed had become part of the neighborhood crowd, along with Lionel, Larry, Joe

    Chapter 19 S3

Jurassic park is hot right now, how about pterodactyls? ”Really officers, flying dinosaurs defecated on my house and car.” ”Hold on a moment ma’am.” Into his phone, “Hello, psych ward?”

    Chapter 19 S3

Oh yeah, I just checked, golden eagles are present year-round. That could be a pretty big mess.

    Chapter 19 S3

It’s winter in Colorado, how many birds are really around? Cat poop on the car might be more believable.
  22. I wish!
  23. Thanks. I figured that was sufficient. Parenthood - yikes!
  24. Only one? I've had twenty, hehe.
  25. She was 16 when the story started, we'll go with that. Although now being a senior in high school, 17 makes more sense. We'll pretend she spent her birthday in the river!!
