Wow, those old pre-1980 stainless steel whistles were very shrill! Their kinder/gentler and worthless fake plastic now. Or maybe $750.00 now instead of five bucks. Glad help arrived in time but darnnitt, the kids and the uglies have the same destination now!

That is one excellent thought, I'll file that for future use. Good time for reinforcements! -
If You Go Down to the Woods Today

Even if ten more fighting bears got there, would it be enough? Gary might be a wild card here! -
On the Gary side myself. Or is it on top of that I wish I was 🤠 Daniel has already made up his mind. He will need the new guys warning.

Allegheny Mountaineer Academy
J J commented on Grumpy Bear's story chapter in Allegheny Mountaineer Academy
Gary is a quick favorite. The portrayal of his physical features. Knowing he's the opposite of his papa. Then his good heart. Hope Chris does not know he is there. Either way it won't be a good reunion. -

The new knowledge about Chris is helpful, It's not a game- changer though. -
Something Wicked This Way Comes

@Clancy59 Yep ALL politicians are evil. Republic-Rats and Dim-Wits alike. In reality my once great country has a slush fund set to pay off their interns that get tired of all the sexual abuse from the nasty geezers. Then they're lucky if ever seen again. But .... Wolves were attacked this time. They're more special than others. Ring a bell??? -
Cub is STILL horny like they told him. Promiscuity must be a bear trait😮🍆

Gonna have to read more. The twit in the way is told by the remf to impede the way to the rich MF that doesn't want to be interrupted in the fun he's having not doing his job

Strange Things Roam the Mountains

Geeze, think they better call in the Kermode? as well as the lycan council. Those elders always know of ways to get `er done! -
And the salmon! I'll second that but couldn't eat a third of what those bears. Like it smoked with mesquite, flaky and tender it stays pink throughout grilling..top it with some asparagus/evoo and tasty wild 40 min rice! The freaks will get their butts kicked!

Well, it is different than the lovey-dovey first book. This fkr is one nasty individual.

Yes, if that happens the overthinking might envelop him. Concurrent with his grief that would be pretty bad. If something could distract him? Like his neighbor it would help a lot. Kent just doesn't have any effort in him now.

Sneaky author!🙂 The first chapter was a recollection and now we have transitioned to present day. Like he said I'll stay tuned!

I'm thinking the same as y'all are. Want to see how this pans out!

Becoming One with the Bear
J J commented on Grumpy Bear's story chapter in Becoming One with the Bear
Suzi did have something up her... & Mike has been talked to about what was coming with his change. Good guys have to whoop those pious bad dogs. -
Been a long time. Re-reading this just because of current Rx insomnia. @Grumpy Bear I like the composition style even considering the rauncy and raw first chapter subject.

Wonderfully written story about an issue that our kind experiences .more often than others. Raw emotions spill, good values (true Christianity, or simply the Golden Rule) rings throughout but is not mentioned. Some things can't be boiled like blue crabs. Lots has to simmer. This story simmers or grows just like it might have felt for the two young lovers to live through. Like painting a karen's walls. "Ma'am wait until it cures before you say I got you the wrong color." See you at 7am tomorrow. Pinks and yellows were the worst. Have your color-wheel handy!😱

They made it to the school! Together. Kitts sharing at the table seemed like what was needed for him to mirror what Steven told him since he's back. He proclaimed it publicly along with his intent to follow through. Yep definitely a Kitt thing to do. Mateo? Dude could have stopped in Central FL.~5° cooler sometimes! S FLhas houseplants (ficus) 50ft tall beside I-95 & the Bee Line.

Aftermath: Rumors, Repercussions, and Really Bad Timing
J J commented on Jeff Burton's story chapter in Aftermath: Rumors, Repercussions, and Really Bad Timing
You guys are too much! Yea this was a fun chapter to read. And the girlie guy was correct? They both had been waiting for the other to text? Ha, we didn't have texts, it was either call or drive over back then. Once one of us had a truck. Or the out of my league fine one from Concord with the 69 fastback/ hatchback Cobra-jet Mustang. Damn he got me in soo much trouble with my mom. -
Indeed, wonderful @Tony S.. From Matts feeling it in his soul when he woke. To walking to their special place. Their loving reunion. To the family one with unvarnished feelings spilling out. Marvelously written, hopefully not over in two more. Even if it is it's been good to follow!

Good coverage of a topic not usually talked about. Seeing Greg's wisdom expand and grow was part of it. I'm loving the little conversations between Greg and Little Charlie! They are precious like old ones pinching young faces at the yearly family reunions. (Great food made up for it)

This chapter focuses so many directions. All heartaches for Kitt except for the Matt- memories. Is he going "home" or across the road from there. There was an underlying skittish feeling that Kitt excels a. He mentioned not coming to terms with going back. Bottom line he needs college $ from his parents and knows proximity could play a big role. Kissing Matt would be much easier too! Ha! I'd put the phone down and just crashed a couple hours ago. There was the one reply when I clicked the notification for this. @weinerdog promise I wasn't copying what you said. We're on the same wavelength. Guess the browser I'm trying out doesn't update with ghostery enabled !

So funny, sadly true also. Now we've crossed a threshold in this story. If Kitt could only accept and use all the (brain fart) "good vibes" that Tom and Mateo have tried to impress on him. Grow a pair, I know Tom would let him use his phone to call him for 5 to probably more likely 45 min.😅 Matt gave Tom his # when they met.

Can't wait to finish this reading binge! This one's becoming a really good short novel already.
