  1. Ben will not be living with Natasha but she can still cause problems for him. Rick and Simon living so close will be supportive for Martin and the boys.
  2. Yes the young ones are now feeling loved and accepted so they can be playful. Do you really think a cat would stay and put up with Natasha's controlling nature? Nah 🙀
  3. Martin is starting to open up about himself to Benjamin and Justin, but there is still more for them to discover. Noah is younger and straight. He doesn't have an exit plan and is stuck with Natasha. At least he'll get an allowance!
  4. When they met they would have been young university students (well at least Martin would have been). At that stage of life the thought and physicality that Martin brought to his relationship to Natasha would have been the inverse to that of his studies.
  5. Natasha is really only interested in herself. She doesn't see the whole picture. Martin is able to be relaxed and manage her here because he is no longer in a relationship with her. Being in a relationship , especially romantic, usually dulls someone's ability to be objective in managing the other person. Martin has left that baggage behind and has nothing to lose here as he watches Ben transfer his belongings to the car ready for his permanent move. None of that means that Natasha can be ignored.
  6. Yes, recurrent. It's nice to see the regional hospital still exists although without an ICU. Back then it was a dangerous illness for an infant so you were lucky to have such help close by.
  7. Yes, Ben wasn't fazed to learn that his grandmother had a secret lover. He seemed to see it as a badge of honour. I believe there is a younger generation out there who are more accepting of sexuality and sexual behaviour than older generations. Martin's "straightness" does become an issue. Justin is intelligent and observant. He is joining the dots.
  8. Yes @Davide when you meet her she is worse that you expected and Ben certainly put his relationship with Justin in perspective. She's been lying to everyone and probably including her current boyfriend (the one she went on holidays with). She cant take anything to court because her modus operandi doesn't include having evidence. Eventually she will discover how rich Martin is. Maybe too late.
  9. But much more than a 24 hour bug and contagious for others.
  10. Yes @Summerabbacat she is bitchy, manipulative, lying, opportunistic, gay-hating, and not at all strategic. She wants control through deception and manipulation and as such will continue to be a thorn until blunted. She will be around for some time and will be involved in some real threats but will eventually become irrelevant to Martin and those around him, and become a problem for others.
  11. Yes while lacking in self perception, she is very manipulative. Remember that they married nineteen years ago when Martin was still young. Young love and all that! But still not his best decision, although the three kids might have reason to think differently.
  12. The odds are certainly stacked up against her if she tries to take anyone it court. But rightest anger and all that (even when it isn't rightest) can lead to who know what.
  13. Saturday morning matched the mood in the house. Grey clouds and morning drizzle cast a gloom over everything. They picked at breakfast. Uncharacteristically the adolescents lacked appetite. They all knew what they had to face and knew they had to face it. However, Justin was to stay in the car and not go to the house. Benjamin had packed a lot of his stuff and hopefully it was still packed and ready to move to the car. The morning was still grey and overcast with a slight drizzle as Martin

    Chapter 4

Now there's form 666.65 (rounded) to be used to requisition those?

    Chapter 4

And he's concerned about the effect on his election campaign. After all, he has to look good.

    Chapter 4

Ah yes the Ministry would be involved. I can't imagine the paperwork. Cecil would be 100 before it could be completed.

    Chapter 4

A Question: If they failed the inspection what would happen to Cecil? There are only two parties in this case (*Nightshade v. Hartley et al.*) so would failing the inspection mean Cecil would go back to his mother? I don't think so!

    Chapter 4

More Gargoyle-Binkie-esque. Now if it can direct fire quenching water in Cecil's direction it would be useful.
  19. Even after many millennia the Occult hasn't learnt to how the control Its Bureaucracy. Following Parkinson's Law the Occult Bureaucracy has continued to grow and has now become a prisoner to its own paperwork. Charlie, who really isn't a charlie, has to cope with the Ministry while discovering himself and saving humanity from a power hungry Edgar. In Charlie's squad's world of demons, cherubs, angels, pyromancers, immortals and wrestlers, anything can happen, and because it can, usually does. A totally out of this world, romping, hilarious and compelling read. Don't miss it.

    Chapter 3

Grandmother, Gam-Gam, would oppose Cecil's return to his mother, at least while she still has firefighting equipment.

  24. Oh your amazing imagination @Summerabbacat but you are right, definitely no camp persona.
  25. But, if she's on a leash of her own making!
