  1. Sorry @Flip-Flop , bush cooking will be of only little help. The lyrics of 'Waltzing Matilda' will be more help. Also some interesting points, especially regarding the boys living with him and the business trip.
  2. I'm pleased, @Summerabbacat that I have brought back, hopefully, enjoyable memories of your time living nearby Forest Lodge. I, of course , will deny any knowledge of the Liquorland at broardway.
  3. Sorry @Summerabbacat . our first meeting with Natasha is a couple of chapters away. There is other turmoil in Martin's life. Yes, I also like Pavlova made with chick pea brine.
  4. There are many people who believe they achieve autonomy through sovereign citizenship.
  5. The next morning Martin was making coffee and preparing breakfast when Rick and Simon entered the kitchen. Rick breathed in deeply and sighed, “Ah, once again one of your fabulous breakfasts,” and then cheekily added, “brings back memories of your flat in London.” Simon and Martin blushed appropriately, as Martin responded, “Help yourself to coffee. You obviously need it. Food coming up shortly.” After a breakfast of scrambled eggs on toast with bacon and grilled tomato, Simon tha
  6. I think between the drinking, food and swimming the evening was more social than drunken. I'm sure they had a satisfying night.
  7. Ah yes! That demon alcohol who enhances the desire and steals the ability!
  8. You'll have to wait a few chapters before seeing Natasha and her reaction. Meanwhile more turmoil for Martin.
  9. Don’t miss what’s happening People on X are the first to know. .
  10. Justin is very grounded and good for Benjamin, so you will learn more about him soon.
  11. Bert has told us he is an Earl and suggested Martin assume his subsidiary title of Viscount. Martin is reluctant to use his doctorate title. Don't expect Martin to flaunt his title, but there may be occasions when it could be useful.
  12. Thanks @Gary L I'm hoping readers will have a few laughs while following Martin's turmoil.
  13. Thanks @Cane23 for commenting on the fun aspects of the chapter. I probably should explain that here, the age of (sexual) consent for both heterosexuals and homosexuals is 16. The legal age for consuming alcohol is 18. Yes, legally, you can be fucked before you can be drunk. So far the kids don't know about Martin's changed circumstances. Martin stopped Rick disclosing their familial relationships. Time will tell if they want to change their surnames.
  14. Expect turmoil! Benjamin (and Justin) could always rely on support from Rick and Simon.
  15. The polls here, for some politicians, provide recognition of just that.
  16. Of course in Australia the Tab is a betting agency, and politicians consider polls and betting statistics, recognition of their popularity and re-electability.
  17. Exactly, regarding Natasha. Two brothers and four ex-sisters in law! Multiple questionable tastes in wives?
  18. Recognition is important to politicians and in recognition of that we could have a political tab.
  19. More on why Natasha allows Benjamin to spend Friday night away from home in the next chapter. She is very self-centered. Remember she dumped all three children on Martin so she could have a holiday in Cambodia, despite being so negative towards Martin. The world is as she sees it, or in some cases, how she doesn't see it. Keep speculating @Summerabbacat some of it is very close, and I agree, she has no intention of making life easy for Martin. Given that, is Martin likely to let her know much about himself?
  20. I'm not going to try to guess who was the more shocked. I think Martin would have been more shocked if he hadn't enjoyed his times with Simon and Rick. Certainly is and surprisingly, it worked out OK.
  21. You are so right @Davide. Simon's comment "We're not having a lot of luck with gay venues." is not generally true, and only regarding finding a lover for Martin.
  22. All good questions, @Flip-Flop and yes some explanations in the next couple of chapters. Martin sorting out his sexuality will take longer.
  23. Yes the business side is under control. It's just Martin's personal life that's out of control.
