Honestly, it was phenomenal. HEA is nice but not every single story needs that. I, for one, say stay true to yourself.

Interesting story particularly with the first offered ending. Art, at its best, elicits strong emotions, which can be clearly seen by the reactions. Good job

Have to say, I prefer the initial ending of the story within a story. Tragic yes but life often is and this ending was written beautifully.

Absolutely hilarious... laughed so hard I feel off the bed! Yes, that was while tangled in the blanket covering my lap. LOL

Phenomenal story both heart and gut-wrenching. The devastation brought by war and religious zealots all too real. Bravo!

What a magnificent story! Everything is there from characters first smitten, suspense, action, humor.... and one cannot miss the adorable pooches and puppy kisses. Kbois is a fantastic author and this, IMHO, is one of her absolute best.

Gut wrenching is the descriptive that comes to mind. The pain and anguish that results from abuse leave behind scars within the soul. Being a survivor, I was doing well until the final line, "The phone rang." That's when nausea kicked in. Art in its truest form connects with emotions. Obviously, from all the comments this story certainly did. Well-done and thank you for sharing!
