I'd vote for both songs, @drsawzall, but I've heard a little rumor that the Tuesday witch's singing voice sounds much like her mother, Daisy Mae's, screeching combined with nails on a chalkboard. Whew, pardon the shiver. The idea does kind of fit, though. Hmmm, perhaps she will start regaling the others behind bars with her. Ah, imagine the retribution she'd suffer...

Amazing, isn't it, @VBlew, how someone's narcissism can be so deeply embedded that they've lost all sense of reality. I've always imagined that if it were actually possible, females like her could turn a straight man in an instant. She's delusional enough to think she alone "can fulfill his pecker’s fantasies." He'd be so traumatized that a whole bottle of little blue pills wouldn't help. We all have to hold out hope for Reed; there has to be one apple that's escaped the rot.

It's tragic the bigotry mirrors the world in which we live. Thankfully, there is often a counterbalance and those strong enough to stand. Thank you @sandemanfor the lovely compliment. 🤗

@dboggs9700, @Summerabbacat, and @Doha it's fun that y'all recognized the Best Little Whorehouse reference. While I've seen the movie maybe once, the stage performances were even better. I just wish Dolly had been in one of them.

Now, @Charles26, it's a matter of them getting caught. Are any of them in that group smart enough to stay hidden? It seems the Two Spirits folks even know how to make a citizen's arrest entertaining.

Hhmmm, so @Summerabbacat, you wouldn't be one of the school board members to vote to allow Shayna to teach a cosmetic application class at the local high school? No doubt she'd be stunned. Oh well, there's always the ranch if she manages to finagle her way in. 🤣 Your deductions are correct; Shayna had no foreknowledge of her uncle and 'the boys' plans. Naturally, in all her brilliance, she believes the attack would have gone off without a hitch if the planning had been left up to her. Young Emmett Till wasn't far from thought when writing this chapter. He and a gentleman, James Byrd, Jr., who was murdered on 07 June 1998, when three men took delight in dragging Mr. Byrd behind a Ford pickup for three miles. How he managed to stay conscious through most of it is hard to imagine. My stomach is still flipping over and feeling nauseous thinking of those horrific crimes. Right again on the brothel, and, yes, for those who didn't guess, the Best Little Whorehouse in Texas was the inspiration. I just wish I could have worked Marvin Zindler, the Texas reporter who exposed the business, into a scene. The news stories that came out were apparently far-reaching. As for prostitution being illegal in Montana, no one in that lot seems to care about the law. I've never seen Dynasty, but now you have me curious to see the Alexis Morel Carrington Colby Dexter Rowan character.

So, so much in Guys Night, @dboggs9700, and the reveals on Shayna are ones I've been looking forward to with much anticipation. The venom she keeps hidden behind that saccharine smile is hate-filled scheming. I can't help but wonder if she cares about her own family or if she's using all of them as well. Little Gal, though, isn't quite as smart as she seems to think, nor is everyone susceptible to her feminine wiles. Hmmm, is anyone really, though, or just her dear old uncle?

They sure do @Charles26. It'd be fun to sit back and watch as that bunch takes care of things.

Any success, though, is greatly due to having such amazing support with invaluable comments, feedback, and suggestions. You have my heartfelt thanks for all the time you put in. Another read, and again emotions stirred. Anyone who hasn't, I'd highly recommend. Expect emotions to be evoked. Personally, I went looking for a punching bag from being reminded of the ignorance spewed by those who should never have made it into power. Stunning piece, well done!

I thought I remembered reading before. At the time, though, it stirred too many feelings to leave a proper comment. Magnificently written, so very triggering, a true work of art! Now, I need to go find a punching bag. Eating people's pets, pause immigration...??? I would love to be there to see when folks who think like that get their just comeuppance.
