  1. That is the case with the story I'm working on. It is psychological, and I need the prism of thoughts and emotions. That is why I chose 1st.
  2. That was a good story. I never actually thought 2nd person could actually work in a story, but it reminded me that if I had taken a different path in life, it could have been me. I think that's the power of second person. Great job, CJ!
  3. Eric, you're a hottie.
  4. I tend to agree with Steph on this one. Vote whatever way you desire. I do prefer a yes vote though, Steve.
  5. I did not say they did count. Besides, I have to limit my intake of alcohol. At least, I can drink occasionally with this one. I figured I wouldn't be able to drink at all. As for the other you mentioned...
  6. I just thought I would give an update on this front. I actually just started taking Wellbutrin. I seem to have dry mouth, but otherwise nothing to serious in the form of side effects. Well, I do feel a little more energized. Anyway, I hope those effects wear off soon.
  7. Currently, I am working on the sequel to Dark Earth in 3rd, but I also started working on a romance story in 1st. I like both for their own reasons. I comes down to two issues. The first issue is what POV fits the story. The other is what the author is comfortable with. For instance, I am unlikely to write a story in 2nd person, because I don't feel that it fits my style or the stories I generally write.
  8. The perfect guy would have to be, above all us, kind-hearted and understanding of my needs. He must be there through the good and the bad. He must also be easy on the eyes. He needs to be easy to talk with and have a keen mind. I want someone who can be my companion in life, my lover, and my best friend all wrapped in a sweet and handsome package. He also needs to be open minded in the bedroom, because I am always wanting to experiment with new things. He also needs to be flexible enough to leave town on the weekend at a moment's notice as I love to explore new territory. He needs to be romantic as well. He also needs to be honest and faithful. He also needs to be mindful of the fact that I like to write and be willing to give me the time and space to do so. He also needs to be passionate and possess a higher than average sex drive. I also want a cuddler. I think that about covers it.
  9. I'm glad it helped.
  10. It was a moment of inspiration!
  11. CJ definitely has an interesting life. He lives on the edge. There's something I find intriguing about it. He's also quite creative and intelligent. That's what makes him such a great author. I was hooked from the prologue of For the Love, and I felt in awe about having the opportunity to interview him.
  12. It seems like a strange phrase to me.
  13. That's a good question. I think it's a good idea.
  14. To an extent, I agree about Dom Luka. Desert Dropping and The Ordinary Us were his best stories by far, and they were in 1st person. He really seems to capture the 1st-person perspective quite well. He's probably the best 1st-person author on GA. Hopefully, his muse will come back soon so that we can have more examples of his 1st-person supremacy.
  15. Frost, I'm just glad Tiff talked you into joining our community. Happy reading!
  16. Daniel Bedingfield "Never Gonna Leave Your Side"
  17. If you want to, I suppose you can. It's just Wednesday.
  18. I came up with it myself. It's hump day now.
  19. I understand there may be some more Bourbon in the near future, and I'll be ready to drink it all.
  20. Thanks Greg! We're glad you liked it. Thanks for the feedback.
  21. Steve, I wouldn't be surprised if he's alive. I'm looking forward to the final chapter to find the answer to that question. At least he doesn't have the cell phone. However, that doesn't mean that someone won't end up dead.
  22. I think he won't be able to handle a reality check.
  23. That sounds like a violent death even for a mouse.
  24. Have you ever had an animal under the hood of your car? Had someone asked me that yesterday, I would have said no. However, if I said no to that question now, I would be lying. I left my house around 2 and went to Missouri. Before I left, I noticed a kitten crawling underneath my car. I thought nothing of it. I put my key into the ignition, turned it over, and let the engine roar. Once I arrived at my destination, I heard a distinct meow, one I had heard before. So, I open the hood, and nested on the right side is a kitten. I was afraid to touch it, because that kitten was rather wild. I asked my cousin to help get the kitten out. At first, the cat was in fairly good place, but then my cousin's dog decided to investigate. Thus, the cat decided to go back down into the part where the transmission is. Finally we got the kitten to land on the ground beneath the car. I fired the engine, and the kitten ran away, presumably to be eaten by my cousin's neighbor's dogs.
  25. Today is Hump Day Eve.
