Yes, very curious... Thanks for commenting.
-
Ooooh. Yes. Although someone will have to be very limber.
-
Yep, past time to move forward.
-
You are scary. Get out of my head. But also, thanks.
-
No, you are the first. Of course you were.
-
I hope I am up to the task. Thanks again for the thoughtful and insightful comments.

I see you are one whom I will not be able to fool in any way in regards to the direction of my plots. There's a whole group here. It's very humbling. LOL

I don't know. Probably the same person who laid carpet over my hardwood floors.

Thank you. That old gristmill is about ten minutes from my house, and it is breathtaking. I had no idea about the Paul Bunyan archetype. There goes my innocence.... oh, wait. Thanks again for the comments and the compliments!

LOL When I bought this house, which we've lived in for 20+ years now, there was wall-to-wall carpeting in every room, laid over the MOST GORGEOUS wide-plank oak I've ever seen. It boggles.

A pot of coffee in 3 minutes is worth every cent a Bunn costs. I would LOVE a secret room/passageway in my house. Talk about cool. So I'm probably projecting a little. Maybe more than a little.

Wait, I can’t do poems. Let’s call it Stream of Consciousness Sunday. This week felt ten weeks long. Modern medicine is a wonder, but modern travel is torture, and I often use Sundays to consider all the different ways I could avoid airplanes for the rest of my life. Also, no surprise to anyone, the world is full of self-involved, self-righteous, ignorant individuals, which is also no modern phenomenon, as human nature has basically remained unchanged since the dawn of the species. Clearly, we will never overcome these things, and I’ve decided the most we can do is elevate our own behavior and hope it rubs off on other troubled souls. There’s nothing quite so wonderful, after a week like the one alluded to above, as a hot cup of coffee, a sofa full of snuggly Brittanies, and a crackling fire in the hearth. And of course, a place like GA to read and connect with people who don’t make me want to smack them (not in the fun way) or tape their mouth shut. Thank you, Internet. It turns out you aren’t just for porn. One aspect of getting older that will never cease to amaze me is being reminded of things I’ve said or done in the past which feel uncharacteristic of me now. I’ve always subscribed to the thought that while people can change, most don’t bother to try. Yet, more and more I’m being bombarded by evidence that I am changing constantly in subtle and invisible ways. Sometimes I channel my mother and think, “If I knew half then of what I know now…” I bet she would have loved that. I think flavored coffee is yucky. Earl Grey does not need milk -- seriously, just stop. Have a lemon and some honey. (Kidding. Love your tea as you please.) I can’t imagine life without meat. Not throwing shade, vegetarians, I just personally need a steak every few days, or I get twitchy. Don't judge me. I'm not making fun of your tofu. (Out loud.) Good thing this blog is titled Life and Writing, cause I got nothing for the Writing part today. Lastly, venting is good for the soul. I feel better now. Thanks. Happy Sunday.

MARC‘S plan was simple: get to Sawyer‘s before anyone else, make coffee, have at least three fortifying cups, and deal with the confrontations one person at a time. Not that he expected any problems from anyone but Rick, but he wasn‘t quite up to Reba‘s mothering and knowing smiles, either. Each member of his team was a separate personal minefield of expectations and explanations, and frankly, Marc wasn‘t sure he could handle it all at once. The best laid plans…. Sleep eluded him most

I love this word too. I probably use it too much, actually. -
It’s a lot like finding that really comfy position to sleep in when you go to bed at night, you know? Hehehe, you’ve got the blankets just right, the pillows just right, you’ve found your little groove in the mattress...it’s a place that simply feels like ‘home’, and everything is awesome from there. And then the dog decides he needs to go out. The one thing that I always try to get creative minds to remember whenever they’re starting something new is the idea that, at our core...our very center...we all have more in common than we could possibly imagine. All of us meaning humanity in general. We all have a need to feel safe, feel loved, form genuine friendships, search for comfort, have a desire to succeed...these are parts of life that everybody can relate to, no matter what kind of story you’re writing. So this is where we begin. But no, more seriously, this is the crux of it, right here. I appreciated how you expanded this idea with your examples. But this is the undisputed thesis statement of this post. Thanks for sharing.

Perhaps he will. I think he already has. In Finn's case, Sawyer has been a bit of an unreliable narrator. But isn't that always the case when it comes to things that affect us as children...

It does need two signatures.

Good thinking!

I bet she is, too. Every state is different. In PA and FL for example, assets can be partially dispensed, if the executor can prove that the estate has no outstanding financial obligations, or that those obligations have been fulfilled. I had to manage my parents' estate from PA, though they lived and died in FL. What a mess.

Marc does not own his house. May owned both houses. She bought the house Marc is living in as a gift for Marc's parents, but it was never deeded in Maggie or Jonathon's name. Marc mentions in an earlier chapter how he has been saving to buy the house from May, even though she had offered to give it to him for free. I think if Marc made a legal stink, he could certainly get access to May's house. The question is... would there be anything there left to find after Jonathon had a chance to search it for the updated will...

THE law offices of Strobler and Strobler occupied a corner building in downtown Edgewood, just two blocks from Rachel‘s diner. Yet another historic landmark in a town that already claimed too many, it towered above the other structures on Main Street. Sawyer bet the symbolism appealed to the tenants. Pretentious was the word that came to mind when he walked with Marc into the main reception area. A marble statue of Lady Justice adorned the center of the space, complete with sword and scales. Bus

Make sure that for the second prompt you include which weapons and PPE your anthropologist will bring to their study... cause he/she will need them. Guaranteed.

His off-white steed. OMG that is so perfect. And so Finn.
-
He's 100% ready to do it. The bastard.
-
I approve of Finn getting his own little cheering section.
