She wasn’t really pretty or very popular. She had a few friends, true, but she never really got very close to them, had no real urge to do so anyways. She wasn’t really good at school, or so people were wont to believe. In fact she was really good at it. But no one saw that. No one wanted to and that suited her just fine. She didn’t want their attention, didn’t need it either. After all, if they paid attention, they would figure out her secret and she couldn’t have that after all. She had

It filled my window, dark and foreboding. The trees formed a line of impenetrable darkness, sending fear spiraling through my body. But I must get out of here, no matter what will happen out there. To die nameless would be more welcomed than living as an experiment for a mad man. “Wait…what is up with this book?” a small voice asked, eyes large in the lamp light, surrounded by black hair and pale skin. “I don’t know. I think it’s a journal though,” a larger male replied, his own hair dark

And it’s not a cry you can hear at night It’s not somebody who’s seen the light It’s a cold and it’s a broken hallelujah It’s sung by Rufus Wainwright for the movie ‘Shrek’ and is called Hallelujah. Another short bit, this story is also a part of a long line of stories that are based, in some small way, by a song or song lyric. Please enjoy. My dearest husband, It’s been so long since I’ve seen you, since I’ve seen your smiling face and heard your happy laugh. Now, all of

There was a snap in the door room followed by a growl. “Will you stop snapping your gum?” Again with a snap. “No. Why should I?” came the snide reply. “Because it’s annoying? And because I asked you to?” “Deal with it.” “I’m ten seconds away from throwing my book at you,” comes the ground out line from her as she hunches over her desk. “And I care why?” came the reply. “Because if you don’t stop snapping your dang gum, I won’t be throwing the book, I’ll be shoving it down

It’s surprising how well you can hide yourself from those around you; to never draw attention to yourself on what you do. You just have to be seen as ordinary, that way people just pass you by when they look for someone amazing, to seem so ordinary that people just pass right over you when looking for someone amazing. It was so easy too, how I became one of those in the shadows. It was…amazing just blending in and not being signaled out. It still didn’t stop me from hurting inside. All I had

Various one shot stories that I have running around.

Humming softly, his hair swaying in the breeze, Whiskey rode down one of the many horse trails that littered his grandfathers vineyard estate. Pulling the roan up, he slides off of her and moves to twist a rope around a low hanging tree before moving to sit on a petrified stump in the middle of a field. Settling down, he tilts his head back, his ears twitching on top of his head, the cream color melding into the soft grey of his shoulder length hair. Pulling his legs up into a crossed positio

My feet hardly make any noise as I pad down the stairs from the loft. Quickly finding the lighter and the candle that I had on a table at the bottom, I light the wick. Moving over to the fireplace, I build the fire back up to help ward off the chill of the night. The rain creates a soft pitter patter in the silence; and the gloom is broken by the soft flame that flutters as I walk. Kneeling down, I put a new log into the fire, and a quick poke at the embers makes it glow brighter. Putting a f

The first time I noticed him was when we were both 12 and were on the cusp of puberty. We were living in Italy, outside of a small city when I first noticed how his eyes were such of a light color, almost a caramelized honey, or the whiskey color that he was named after. They were so expressive and full of love when he laid them on me. It was always so amazing to me, seeing those eyes look at me like that. The next thing that I noticed about Whiskey was his hair. We were 13 and both starting

*giggles* *hugs tightly* Yes, life and things! So boring actually. :3 But thanks. I'm hoping to have the actual story done somewhere around the first of January. And look at that! You should have joined. *nodnod* even if you don't win, it's the experience. Ooh, is it ever. *shivers* *nods* So I'm going to rewrite it into past tense and deal with it that way. :3. I'll update my blog once I get that going. -

Okay, so I'm sure I've lost a lot of readers on here especially since I'm not really active here. I can't help that because I'm busy with life and doing things. I'm sorry about that. Anyways, if you watch A Butterfly's Dream, I'm sure you've seen my newest post on it's forum. I'm really sorry about this but I can't write the damn thing in present tense and I would end up rewriting it into past tense with the other two stories that are connected to it anyways. I'm so glad that I finished 'Crimson and Shadows' (my NaNoWriNo submission) for the most part. I'm not working on that now. *sighs and goes to start doing that* -
By all that is twitchy, I am alive, if not annoyed beyond all belief. Why? Let me list off the ways the universe has pissed in my cheerio bowl. Mind you, I don't want sympathy. I want smut. Or a really good, and I mean really good, gonna suck me in and let my mind run wild with it, story that the chapters are under 5,000 words. Any longer and I get bored. Anyways, on to what has been happening. 1) January sucks. Rent is going up, I'm sick half the time. 2) I lost my friend and fellow co-writer of 'Finding Salvation in the Dark' on March 17th. She had a bad heart problem that kills most of those who get it in the first 5 years. That seriously f**ked me up. I lost my ability to write anything outside of the ultra angst filled stories. They're currently tucked away since it's rather dark and I need to be in a certain mood to edit the suckers. 3) My rent doubled this month. Found this out in May, so I'm okay with it now. 4) I lost some very important files. Which files you may ask. A Butterfly's Dream Chapters 13, 14 and 15. That's right! I had 2 and a half chapters written out! I'm lucky that Beastie has 13 on his 'to edit' list at the moment. I also lost all of my past chapters (had to hunt those down again), along with my 'Conversations With My Muses' Stories. I'm lucky that beastie has 3. I really am. Otherwise, I'd end up f**ked. >< Had to look for those files to. Lost my NaNoWriMo link and book information. Let me tell you, that's a lot of information to loose! I have like...10 subjects, with 4 links and 3 books each! Ugh! 5) Still looking for a job. Not looking good, but I have some options...that is if I stop hurting. 6) Went to the hospital for my back last month. I had have been having some pain in my back for a couple of days before, but on the 7th I woke up about 1 in the morning and for 2 hours after tried like a bitch to kill the pain. Took Oxycodon, and mind you, anything stronger then my ibu and baclophen knocks me out and makes me sleep like the dead. It did NOTHING! I was so close to crying in pain. Called the ambulance and found out that any kind of moving, even on a stretcher in a giant wanna be van with very good shocks. Those 4 minutes was hell. Then I went through another 10 minutes of hell shuffling from the front station to my room. Took a test, decided it wasn't a UTI. Thank you god. Figures its me f**king up my back, get a nice shot. 20 minutes later, I'm feeling good and my blood pressure (169/111) goes down (150/100). Have to watch the blood pressure now along with my back. I have the happy making pills to. I'm good. But! It meant for a week, while I was dealing with said pain, that I couldn't do much of anything beyond staring at the screen and reading some stories I've been meaning to. Doesn't mean I can review beyond a smiley face. Currently, I am working on collecting my songs that I lost 2 years ago and working on clearing out my rather massive fanfiction one shot list, and my smaller, but slightly more important original fanfition list. I finished off like 8 stories in 4 weeks. That's an accomplishment. I am also planning on A Butterfly's Dream prequeal if you will and it's sequel. A Butterfly's Dance is the prequeal, and will be focusing on Rye, who is introduced in 13 and goes more indepth about him in 14. We've already seen hints of him in the previous chapters. A Butterfly's Flight will focus on David as he trains as something. I can't give that out, just know it's gonna happen after I re-edit A Butterfly's Dream into something I actually like. And which I hope you guys will enjoy. Okay, that's all for now. I'll try and be on more often. Really.

Thanks you two. And yes, I had a good birthday. (And just now getting around to posting a few things).

God, thanks you guys. I know, I've been...MIA lately. I really am sorry. Just a bunch of stuff (some happy, some not so happy) has been going on. I hope to start posting more often then I have been. Maybe. Anyways, thanks. *hugs all around*

I'm rather proud of myself. And congrats yourself. First year for me and I figured I'd be sliding in at the last hour with my time but my last section shoved me over. Which is of the happy making. -
I...am unbelievably exhausted. Why am I so exhausted? I have been working non stop on my damn NaNoWriMo thing (which I finished with 50,200 something words. Exact amounts can be found at my account, Candy_Lips). I...have also been sick, lost my screen back in October and have been selling literary commissions. If you're interested in hearing my sale prices, PM me. Please. I could use the money to get people off my back out cash I don't have. Anyways.... I also have a hideously nasty cold that decided to ram right past my healthy diet (low on the caffeine, sugar and sweets), my immune system (back up by fruit and chew vitamins) and my asthma controlling medicine (My favorite word at the moment: flovent). My body is just not liking me at the moment. Ugh... Okay, I've updated. I'm going to edit my next chapter of A Butterflys Dream to death and hope that Beastie isn't wanting to strangle me slowly or something. I need to go re-edit some smut to.

Okay, first of all...the Star Trek comments, I like a very select few, but yes, I agree. They are good. Now, onto the term itself. I saw Yaoi running around there. Yaoi is the western term for Shonen-Ai which means 'Boys Love' which is the Japanese term for, well, two males togther in a relationship. Mostly denoted to Mangas or graphic novels. Yaoi is actually a acronym of three words: Yama nashi, ochi nashi, imi nashi, which translate to "No climax, no point, no meaning." Which is what yaoi is. Now, from Yaoi, we come to Slash, which was applied to the homosexual fan fiction. Fan fiction is just that. Fiction written by Fans. It is a newer term that is used beyond Yaoi seeing as Yaoi was coined by the . Okay, so we have that cleared up. Personally, I call half of the fanfiction I write Yaoi (seeing as it really has no point to it), the other half slash since it's come to denote that the story has an actual plot. My originals? I call it just that. Either that or 'originals with some homosexual overtones' seeing as my characters aren't really straight half the time. It's more about who you're talking about when it comes to what is being written and how the word is used I would think. Then again, I'm a bit of a research nut... Wiki for Yaoi Wiki for Slash Urban Dictionary for Slash (funny, very very funny)

Got it pulled. I found out instead of my usual long root that takes me going to a oral surgeon, I had a tramatized root, meaning it was small. About half the size of a regular root. It came out after he injected me with about a syringe full of numb medication. I hate any kind of pain. -
So, I am alive (as much as I can be). I am working on things, really I am but I've been a bit on the busy side. Working on some fanfiction and the such. Some originals. Updated my twitter. Going to get a tooth pulled on Thursday. I'm still offering commissions (10 dollar a drabble [100 to 200 words], 2 to 10 dollars for a poem, .02 cents per word for story). Yeah, so life still sucks. I'm going to take pain killers now.

I've added a few books (downloaded). There is....The DaVinci Code, Angels and Demons, a couple of historical books (one on archeological finds and one is about myths and the such). And I have more books on my list...>>

I had to read that for a high school book report paper (something about describing a book without getting repetative) and gods did I LOVE IT. *wiggles* Unfortunatly, I lost my copy. It went bye bye sometime in the last three years. *pouts* Oh, I loved that book to. I prefer it over its sequel The DaVinci Code, though I like both books. I just found Angels and Demons much more entertaining and interesting. Go figure. Anyways, my new list... Pandora by Anne Rice: I may hate her for turning her back on an entire series but...I promised myself I would finish all of her books (and I have nearly. This one and another one I just have to finish). It's rather...dry. But I will prevail! The Dancing Floor by Barbara Michaels: Okay, so I don't usually read her, but dang it! This is a good book! I love this one really, I do. It touches on the Pendle Witch Case and weaves a story around it in such a way that it makes you devour it. It's my 10th time reading it and I still catch things that I missed the first 9 times. Cujo by Stephen King: Must I explain this one? Giant, pyscho dog killing people? What more do I have to say? Christine by Stephen King: Again, must I explain this one? Uncovering the Mystery of MPD: It's shocking origins...It's Surprising Cure by James. G. Frieshen, PH.D: Reading this one for a story that I am currently working on. It has a one character that has MPD and one with SPD (split personality disorder) which is some what like MPD, but only...two personalities. Anyways, it's rather interesting either way. Portrait of a Killer - Jack the Ripper - Case Closed by Patricia Cornwell: I'm rereading this one due to the fact that I like it. Not reading it for any other reason. *nods*

What defines me? Well, first...what is the definition of define? My Websters Pocket Dictionary (2001) says: vt. to give precise value or meaning, as of a word; to describe; to specify a limit or boundry Okay, so to define is to describe yourself as something, or in most cases many somethings. So, now we got that out of the way, what defines me? To be honest, I've never really thought of it. I mean at turns I'm a daughter, I'm a friend, I'm a writer, I'm a fan. I'm a reviewer, I'm a reader, I'm an artist of words and lover of movies. I long for love but have been burnt so many times before. I'm...everything and nothing really. I'm a character in my own world. I have a feeling that a favorite quote of mine actually works for me and what I believe. A man's character is the reality of himself. His reputation is the opinion others have formed of him Character is him; reputation is from other people - that is the substance, this is the shadow. *Henry Ward Beech

Okay, no teasing me, but I do believe in ghosts. My entire family is sensitive to such things like ghosts and spirits. Then again, we've never denied the existence of them. On a side note, I believe in God but not the Devil. Anyways, I believe. Had one to many experiences not to.
