  1. Does he eventually get up and leave?
  2. Does the soul have free will? If so then doesn't that create a potential problem wherein it can be argued that we are what we are because we made a choice to do so? Just playing devil's advocate...
  3. By gearhead I meant working on cars. What you do is still a lot of fun. I apprenticed as an electrician for three years and spent a lot of time bending conduit, i wonder if things have changed in the decades since I did that. We used to make manual calculations and then use a manually operated tool with marks on it that matched the calculations we did to figure out where to put the conduit and how much to bend it to get the desired end result. Do you enjoy your work?
  4. I'm not sure if you're into audiobooks. The unabridged version of Atlas Shrugged is 52 hours and 9 minutes. The abridged version of Atlas Shrugged is a mere 11 hours and 33 minutes. I read the unabridged version in high school. I listened to the abridged version a few years ago. IMO you don't miss anything essential by listening to the abridged version.
  5. I think this is some sort of eeevil ploy by The Goat to mislead us for some as yet unknown reason. Apart from malice I still fail to understand why J/S would feel the need to kill any or all of the members of Instinct. And even though I think she's a bitch why would there be a need to kill Helen. To me killing any of these characters without a clear-cut need would only complicate matters for J/S. This is just a hunch... If anyone is going to get killed it makes the most sense to me right now for it to be Lump.
  6. Are you a gearhead or are you referring to computer tools?
  7. Not if you're Eric!
  8. I'm certainly no fan of Helen. I've been consistent about that throughout this entire story. Which present are you referring to because there were two presents ( ) and she thinks both of them are going to the same cause? If anything I'm more suspicious than ever about Gunter. Helen's just a bitch. Gunter appears to be capable of much more evil than merely being a bitch. And he was absent when something might have happened which would have given him a solid alibi. Could that be J/S giving a trusted ally a solid alibi?
  9. You caught me in mid-edit. When I looked back at Chapter 22 I realized why the same thing hadn't happened earlier. Good job on the continuity.
  10. Harumph. You need to update your signature Lord Goatamort! Poor Brandon and Chase. Eric is gonna catch hell for what he's done to them! ADDED1: Thank you!
  11. Someone needs to update his signature! /me rushes off to read the latest chapter...
  12. Call them whatever you want. You do write stories that leave the reader wondering WTH is gonna happen next! I'm sure Sacha and Jason are too busy trying to find new ways of getting caught in the act to help you out of this mess you created for yourself.
  13. Oh, my Goathanger alarm is bleeting at ear-splitting levels. We need all SPiCE members at the ready cause something bad is about to happen to Eric. Even without J/S around Eric always gets into trouble when he drinks the juice of the Agave plant.
  14. Actually he's probably hanging out in his goat cave, licking his wounded hoof, and enjoying watching us prattle on about him and his eeevil ways!
  15. I've always known I was gay. I never went through the typical coming out of the closet thing. I was never in it. I won't go so far as to claim I'm grateful for being gay because I'm not. It's meant a life full of difficulties that a heterosexual person would never have to deal with. Maybe society has evolved to the point where this is now merely a generational issue. My generation paved the way for you to feel grateful for being who you are. And yet I still wonder why I am the way I am. I'd like to know if it's a nature or nurture issue. I tend to side with the nature issue. But I'm the kind of person who appreciates empirical evidence to support my beliefs. Why do you perceive understanding the underlying factors as being one step away from treatment?
  16. Rainbow Drops Not exactly what I had in mind but they do look yummy!
  17. One could argue it would make people see sexuality in a different way!
  18. Apparently you missed the FOX News story: Scientists Make Fruit Flies Gay, Then Straight Again Michael, the whole issue of sexual studies baffles me. It's not just the part about spending our taxes on it. It's all these documentaries on Animal Planet and NatGeo Channel about sexual reproduction in every imaginable life form. In the human world we refer to this as porn. In the non-human world it's called research.
  19. Reminds me of the cartoon, Sally Forth. Sally has a quirky habit around Easter of biting the ears off of chocolate bunnies, especially those of her daughter. Hilary annually schemes to hide her bunny, but inevitably fails.
  20. For Gay Fruit Flies, Homosexuality Is Not a Choice When the genetically altered fruit fly was released into the observation chamber, it did what these breeders par excellence tend to do. It pursued a waiting virgin female. It gently tapped the girl with its leg, played her a song (using wings as instruments) and, only then, dared to lick her - all part of standard fruit fly seduction. The observing scientist looked with disbelief at the show, for the suitor in this case was not a male, but a female that researchers had artificially endowed with a single male-type gene.
  21. I take it this was a solid chocolate bunny as opposed to the more traditional hollow version?
  22. When I was a kid and my father was trying to teach me how to play golf we'd always stop at the 19th Hole (what an awful euphemism for a coffee shop/cafe) for a Dr. Pepper. For some reason it doesn't taste the same now as it did back then.
  23. My TV and my cordless phone both have buttons on them I can push to make the remote emit a beeping noise. Both remotes can usually be found under the covers of my bed so I rarely use this feature. But it sounds like you could benefit from it Rose. A lappie by your bedside also does wonders when it comes to cutting down on all that paper. I wake up a lot with various thoughts in my brain. Unless I write them down I forget them by morning. This also works great when it comes to integrating my dreams into my journal.
