  1. Yep! That's why I mentioned earlier about how much forethought CJ puts into his stories. The rock climbing scene earlier on in LTMP seemed unnecessary at the time. Now we know it was just more of the master's foreshadowing! As mad as we pretend to get at CJ sometimes I never lose sight of what a superb and thorough author he is.
  2. Ben, the key word in Conner's statement was "the" not "a". Conner, if the author has no morals, and the bribe is sufficient, he can be induced to kill any character. That said, CJ was insulted at the amount of money I offered him. Meh, I didn't think TheBitch
  3. Er, Timmy. Chase is the one who's been kidnapped. Speaking of cliffhangers, this time we had a cliff-faller. SUV going over the cliff. And just look at how much thought CJ has put into this story by letting us know way back when that The Shadows were into rock climbing. Until now it's just been for fun. Now it'll really serve a purpose. I find it implausible the AF guy didn't hear all the commotion at the ranch. As much as I hate TheBitch
  4. In a way I can't deny the logic of your reasons. Sex is often highly overrated. I was in a 17 year relationship. Despite being somewhat sexually active, overall it was a small part of our relationship. If we didn't have other things in common it would have been a boring relationship that never would have lasted as long as it did. I'd go so far as to state I'd still love him even if we never had sex. I guess that's my long-winded way of saying whatever works for you is what you should do. I just want you to be sure that's what you really want.
  5. Hey, that's mean you meanie. You're lucky we're talking about Steve's penis otherwise I'd give you a fat lip!

    Coming out again

Definitely some awkward questions. But in the end it seems like the two of you might even be closer than before. I'm happy for you Steve.
  7. Nick, sometimes in life you have to be assertive otherwise people will take advantage of you. So long as you know when it's appropriate to be assertive I doubt anyone that matters to you will think any less of you for standing up for what you believe is right. I for one am proud of what you've done! Regarding Perot, I think the Larry King debate with Al Gore played a large role in dooming his candidacy. Also, all those charts, while accurate, were too confusing for the average idiot who votes. I know this sounds conceited, but we here at GA are on the higher end of the intelligence scale and could appreciate Perot's methods.
  8. Would it be too personal to ask why you find the idea of sex unappealing? Please don't misunderstand my intentions. I'm merely curious, not making any sort of judgment.
  9. Ugh. A pill to make me asexual? I think I'll take a pass on that one. I am curious why you feel that way Jonnie. Is being homosexual really that bad for you?
  10. How could I ever be mad at you Bob? You posted a photo of yourself next to a car I happen to love. I just wish I could see more of the car to know exactly which model it was. I'm a total gearhead which is why these things fascinate me, LOL.
  11. I guess we all have our methods for keeping track of what's going on with GA. Typically I keep a tab open to the View New Posts page and use Firefox's Reload Every feature to reload the page every few minutes. That's how I learned about this thread!
  12. There are so many different ways to interpret Karma. Much depends upon the particular religion you believe in. The one thing I've never been able to uncover is if our past and future lives can consciously or subconsciously help guide us in our current life. I like to think so. Based on the events you described it seems like it does. Based on my own experiences I get the same feeling. I wish there were some scientific way to quantify things like this. Because of your training you're in a better situation to deal with this problem than I am. All I can do is speculate. Does anyone else have situations they'd like to share with us that might be considered Karma playing an active role in our current lives?
  13. Unfortunately for the goat instead of winding up back in Kansas he winds up slowing rotating on the BBQ spit.
  14. Do you recall if the car was a 1951 Chevy? I'm trying to figure out if it was a Fleetline or a Styline. Both were available with the Deluxe trim package that's evident on your car.
  15. I feel for you Snowy. I've been on meds for all kinds of psy conditions including clinical depression since I was like 6 or 7. If you don't mind elaborating I'd be curious to know what some of your deflection techniques are. PM me if you'd prefer to keep it private.
  16. Yeah, that kinda stinks. The only reason I noticed chat was back was because Myr mentioned it in the "last post wins part deur" thread.
  17. Thanks, but I'd rather talk to Myr.
  18. Good point Nick. I forgot to mention that writing in my journal sometimes helps me feel better.
  19. Would that make it: Father Of a Bitch? Or would it be the other way around? As in: Son of a future SOB?
  20. Good points Bob. Hmm. In a past life maybe Kevin was straight, a lesbian, or a goat. I do believe in reincarnation as the ultimate form of recycling. Here are two lines, taken slightly out of context, from one of my favorite songs: I am made from the dust of the stars and the oceans flow in my veins OK, time for a serious question Bob: Is there any empirical evidence to suggest that our former lives play any part in shaping our current life? [Moderators: I know this is off-topic so maybe it would make sense to split it into a new thread about reincarnation.]
  21. I'm with Krista except I swim laps. Just to clear my head I like to take walks.
  22. You made chat a lot of fun tonight Joe, but I can't believe you posted this!
  23. He's resolved to get his bony butt roasted! I'm willing to bet the meat is gonna be tough and stringy with absolutely no taste at all.
