I think that the age difference between Brad and Cam makes sense when you think about their relative positions in life. Brad is a very successful man, and if he were straight, he'd be probably tracking after women who were Cam's age...at least at the lower end of the age range.
I thought Tiffany's comment was very telling. Wade probably felt a weight of responsibility landing on his shoulders when she said that...the implication is that his drama can exponentially impact the rest of them.
I think that Will and Zach were just having a casual conversation, but the irritation is there. Will is probably frustrated that he has to stay in the sidelines of Zach's life, even though he knows that's the deal, and it was probably a little nasty of him to do that.

I was so relieved that Craig Fester, the contractor I’d hired, had finished today. He had been all grins and smiles, justifiably proud of having achieved a small miracle by building out the house by the deadline I’d given him. “Welcome home, Mr. Danfield,” he said.
“Thank you,” I said, shooting him my best smile. I knew that if he’d have missed this deadline, I’d have had hell to pay from JJ and Tiffany, and the last thing I ne
I just thought I'd chime in on this. Massachusetts sets the age of consent at 16, so from a legal standpoint, there's no issue with JJ and Alex being together.
If JJ manages to spark a relationship with Alex, it could go any number of directions. There is possibly a good ending though, since they are probably quite compatible. There's an even better possibility things won't turn out so well.
JJ definitely brings some of his own issues to the table. I think we see his issues manifesting themselves in the form of his bitchy attitude. We'll see if he can grow out of them.
I don't see Alex using people. He hasn't done that yet, but maybe he will. JJ is probably the perfect candidate for Alex's Madonna, and JJ will probably love being treated that way. Until Alex decides to hook up with a 'whore'.
Excellent observations.
JJ seems to be dealing with his molestation issues pretty well. I have a feeling that he had to grapple with them in a lot more complex way after 9-11, when he had all of that to deal with. I'm not sure, at this point, how it will ultimately effect him, but my guess is that it will make him more sexually cautious.
There's always a gap in the lives of characters, where I have to focus on them at a given time and bring the reader up to speed as to where they've been. So we miss things that are, presumably, boring.
You'll have to get used to Will, or just skip over the blue fonted sections. :-)
I'm glad you like the story so far. JJ has self-identified as bisexual, but we really haven't seen him in a relationship with anyone.
Paris is one of my favorite cities, so that's why it gets such frequent mention in the stories. I view it as the author's prerogative. ;-)
Interesting points, as usual. I don't think the subtle yet real difference regarding Will's acceptance of Zach's fetish is going to be a huge issue for them, but then again, I could be wrong. I think losing control of things will be, for Will, a very tough go, at least when it applies to himself. I can see a violent reaction when he's not in charge of his own destiny.
You'll have some arguments on that one, but Will is going to appear in this book, so you'll get your wish. Plus he's pretty influential in the family, so you'll also see him through the eyes of the others.
You make a good point about Zach slowly alienating himself from his family, but I'd correct that to say "his parents". Frank educated us in Flux as to how that works, in that Zach's battles with Wally and Clara won't necessarily involve the rest of the family. And Zach seems to be at a good place with Brent and Gathan. They're probably the most important to him, since he doesn't like Ella, and thinks Trent and Zeke are tools.
That's a really good point. It was entirely possible that Zach was just stringing Will along, but that got harder to buy into the longer their relationship went on. Zach's feelings for Will are genuine...it's a shame he can't really express them. :-(
While I think Brent is important to Zach, Will is really the guy he confides in. I'm sure Brent is important to him, but he doesn't seem to have the same kind of bond. Zach's almost like an alien, who bonds himself to one person and, of necessity almost, excludes the rest of the world.
