    Chapter 56

Thanks. As far as the "don't stop," I think sometimes I wear my team out, but we're chugging along just fine.

    Chapter 56

Thank you so much. I personally think this victory was more significant than Trafalgar, but no one gives a shit about what I think. :-)

    Chapter 56

Aww. A multi-colored message and an emoticon! How cool! Glad you liked the chapter. This is my favorite historical battle (or at least one of them), and it was really fun to write.

    Chapter 55

Glad you're back with us, and that you liked it!
  5. Let's go on the assumption that I've cataloged all of his sexploits.
  6. I have a research assignment for those of you who are willing to tackle it. I'm trying to figure out how many people Will has had sex with. I'm trying to break it down by three categories: Oral, anal-receptive (bottom), and anal-penetrative (top). Hand jobs don't count. So any of you who feel up to reading through Poor Man's Son, Paternity, and now 9.11, take some time to tally them up for me. Just list the category, and then the name of who he was with below it.

    Chapter 55

I'm glad! And thanks for the review!

    Chapter 55

I think they have pills now to help with premature chapter ejaculation. Or am I supposed to take them. I'll get it under control after this one.

    Chapter 55

I'm glad you were happy for a speedy chapter. LOL at Freddie and Davina as parents. Probably a good thing the boy will be mostly raised by nurses (we can hope).

    Chapter 55

I am spoiling you, but these good times will not last. I had a deadline to get to the anniversary of the Nile. I'm there now. Back to normal. :-) I don't think anyone will notice or say anything about the paternity of Freddie's son. After all, even if he is Granger's son, he still has Granger blood.

    Chapter 55

You're always drinking something. Er. Right. ;-) I felt that history portrayed Berry as a brave buffoon, and that character works perfectly for me in this story. I'm sure he wasn't as bad as I've made him out to be.
  12. God, you're an evil bitch. :-) And I say that with love. Make them care, then threaten what they care about? LMAO. Truly awful. But such good suggestions.

    Chapter 56

August 1, 1798 HMS Vanguard Granger stood on the deck with the other officers, taking his own noon sightings. He smiled as the midshipmen frantically worked their calculations, trying to pinpoint Vanguard’s location as the grizzled master looked on. Occasionally one of them would glance over at Granger with the same expressions of hero-worship they usually reserved for their admiral. Granger thought that was misplaced, as he had none of Nelson’s brilliance, but

    Chapter 55

July 28, 1798 HMS Vanguard The dinner had been a fun and lively affair. Granger had never felt so relaxed in a group of fellow captains. He had consumed a great deal of wine, enough to mildly impair his brain, but studiously avoided complete inebriation, as did the others. There was a feeling of excitement, an air of anticipation that lifted the spirits of all of them, so over-imbibing did not seem appealing, necessary, or appropriate. “I am wondering if you ar

George has found his style and it works. :-) No frigate required. They know where they're going.

    Chapter 54

You're welcome. A chapter a day? Maybe in extreme circumstances.

    Chapter 24

Gay people are calm and understanding? Um...no. I don't think you can stereotype that one, because I'm not convinced there's more calm and understanding gay people than straight people (proportionally). I could be wrong, but I'm not buying it without some serious proof. ;-) I think Will's doing better with his anger, but Brad seems to be the guy that can really flip his switch. If you take that out of the equation, I think he's been doing pretty well.

    Chapter 54

LOL. I have someone better in mind for Granger. You see him in the next chapter. ;-)

    Chapter 54

That's a great article, by the way. I generally use Wiki for a lot of preliminary research, then dig deeper if I need to (which I did for this story). But that article gives you a good overview.
  20. What we're seeing with Will, though, is not that he's mastered the Golden Rule, but that he is getting better at it. The deal with Malcolm was really just Will being perceptive of Malcolm's desire to be "taken". You do make a good point about sexual harassment, and hopefully Will learns to do better with that in the future. I think that the fact that he is a minor (sexually) would make it tough for Malcolm to press charges without incriminating himself, but Malcolm isn't planning to do that. So what you're saying is that emancipation is easy because to do it you have to have parental consent: without it, it's virtually impossible? One of my readers asked me if I ever let feedback in the forums impact they storyline. The answer is that I rarely do, but this is actually one of the storylines that changed because of feedback (mostly yours) in the forums. As I had originally written it, Brad fought Will all the way through, but having Brad ultimately realize that such a course of action was futile and to actually support Will made it so much better. Norway.
  21. I think that was an easy way to summarize it without delving into all the details. In Maidstone's mind, he was the governor, but you're right, in reality, he never was. Actually, there's a pretty big problem with that one, and that's the Beaver is flying American colors. The Royal Navy would be violating what Americans would consider to be sovereign territory (one of their ships) by arresting the captain of an American vessel based on crimes committed in the last war. That wouldn't go over very well in London or in Philadelphia. At this juncture in history, America was virtually in a war with France, so Britain would certainly not want to antagonize her former colonies. The other problem with this is that Nelson got his intelligence about the French fleet from American merchants (in real life), so if the Royal Navy starts arresting American officers, it is likely those sources of info would dry up.
  22. I think I know what you're saying, but I'm not sure "viewpoints" accurately describes it. But as you noted, the focus remains on our gay/bi brothers.
  23. One of the problems with trying to think that far out is that all of these guys are a work in progress. It's hard to know what Jeff will be like when/if he finishes college and burnishes his self-esteem, or what Tony might be like after therapy (if he gets it). And you really made an excellent observation about Kai, because while he and Will connect well, their relationship is pretty much based on surfing and sex. Not sure that's the vital thing when you're 35.

    Chapter 54

Why thank you! I think this is as close to seeing Granger absolutely lose it and ream someone out for quite some time. Old Capt. Travers got lucky that Granger is such a class act.
  25. I will do my best.
