    Chapter 1

Thanks Gary. I think Brad is simply clueless, and that's what a lot of this was supposed to show. Outside of his world with Marc, he's pretty oblivious to what's going on.

    You? Wrong? We'll see. :-)

    Chapter 1

Thank you so much. It's good to be back on a relatively even keel, and it's good to find my muse again.

    Chapter 1

These people can be pretty dramatic, and like many, they tend to let their grievances fester until they become much bigger issues.

    Chapter 1

Thanks. Sometimes I worry that the dinners are a little cliche, but they are just so damn fun to write.
  7. He does, and this is great, but didn't Brent have dark hair?

    Chapter 1

Sometimes a vacation can work wonders. I'm thinking weekly, but we'll see.

    Prologue

Yes, but not to the East Side. He's more of a West End infant.

Thanks Gary! You know that I won't leave you in too big of a lurch, at least at the end.

Ah, the title is a mystery. Hopefully that's a good sign for the story. Maybe Stef gets bit by a spider. That's another option. ;-)

You know, it's interesting, because like you said, the pairings are very complementary, but they're inherently unstable.

    Chapter 31

December, 1799 HMS Valiant, The Mediterranean Sea George Granger read the Articles of War, that onerous code of rules under which His Majesty’s Navy operated. He could probably have recited them from memory, but he used the book as a guide, to ensure he didn’t miss one. When he was done, he nodded briefly to Hercule, who began to administer the punishment. The first of twelve lashes tore into the back of a young seaman named Houghton, a man who had an unblemished record
  21. The latest installment in the CAP Series, Black Widow, has officially been launched. You'll find the prologue and the first chapter here. By the way, to get updates on this story, follow the link above, and simply click on "follow this story" in the upper right part of the blurb. An FYI...I had planned to write a number of chapters of this story and publish them a bit later than this, to maintain a more regular posting pace, but the US Supreme Court decision spurred me to go ahead and launch the story now.

    Prologue

June 26, 2003 Highway 101, California Will The Durango rolled down Highway 101, sucking up the miles and the gas. It was a good road trip vehicle. I relaxed in the passenger seat, letting my Oakleys shield my eyes from the bright sun. “Camp starts tomorrow,” Zach said nervously, and I knew that meant he was about to broach the topic that had been freaking both of us out: Us. He’d graduated from high school a few weeks ago, and he was off to college. They had summe

    Chapter 1

July 12, 2003 Escorial Palo Alto, CA JJ I had pretty much decided that I was going to have a shitty time during this visit, and until today, I’d spent most of my time torturing myself. I’d missed Alex, and made myself miserable pining away for him. Then I’d think about Mary Ellen, and get pissed off at Alex for letting that skank into our lives in the first place. And of course I’d spent time thinking of all the things she could do to me when I got back to England, bu
