  1. I am glad that the story has held your interest and you've come this far and I hope you continue on with the journey to see where it goes. Lol yes Martha is very stereotypical, I kind of think it's my fault because of the name I used for her, I can't help but to picture the mother on "The Wonder Years" and that's why she gets written the way she is a lot of the time, I think lol. Maybe I should have given her another name? But yes Miracle is definitely involved in a high school soap opera, that is the best way to describe it. I hope that the character has come a long way since the earlier chapters, I personally feel like while he has not totally healed because his brain has been so hard wired in his nature and personality, I feel like he has on some level still matured to some point. I do think he fears being forgotten and he has always feared being alone. I think he wants out of the drama and because of that he starts to contemplate when it is all over because he knows it eventually will be all over.
  2. Lol I imagine a lot of people will agree. Melanie is definitely my hardcore villain. With Jaemin, well I am trying to put him on the fence to leave a little suspense there, is he good or is he bad or can his actions be justified in some way or another? Though I have a feeling he just might always get categorized with Melanie. That will be my suspense to wait for!
  3. Thank you for the comment and checking out the story, I hope that what you have read so far will hold your interest. Clearly in this part of the story Miracle I would say knows he is out of control and simply doesn't care or he is not really self aware and definitely impulsive, as I go over this chapter again he does seem to do things on first thought.
  4. Yes Sterling's trust in her is definitely killed now. Though the truth regarding Sterling's attendance at the hospital could be on the verge of coming out. As far as Melanie and Miracle's friendship goes...eh I don't know what to make of it. I think Miracle might turn out to be a "project" for Melanie perhaps. As for Cody, I am really glad I made the character and specifically how I made him, a friendship between him and Miracle will be really different, a conflict for sure but a separation from everything. The fact that he is in a christian club, his father is a priest, his background really separates him from the deviant behavior of Melanie and Jaemin who at this point are Miracle's biggest influences while at the same time being able to relate to Miracle and finding a certain openness on his own about a subtle secret I hinted at. Thought point is really Cody is a character that I think will aim to separate Miracle from the rest, at least enough to self reflect, to think for himself and possibly have less of a "need" for others which got him in the huge mess to begin with. He did "need" Brad to be a decent guy after all and so that black mail lead to a whole lot of trouble!
  5. Lmao a big trouble maker and she loves it! Just as much as I love writing it. The scene was a very fun scene for me to write. And yeah, Kevin's Dad is going to flip, I wasn't going to write that part in but I just might just to throw a little drama and story in there from his perspective.
  6. The boy saw Miracle nearing the church after looking up from the book he was reading, the candles hadn't provided much light but he had the book clipper flash light to shine on the pages, a tool that was shut off just before he closed the book and sat it aside. He stood up and walked over to the steps and down them, moving across the parking lot to meet the stranger half way and as he closed the distance, he realized that it was Miracle, someone he had watched from the distance, someone he had w
  7. Miracle closed the door to his room after throwing on a pair of sweat pants and a sky blue Mickey Mouse t-shirt and after making sure Jaemin was asleep. He just wasn't ready to go to sleep yet, he still felt like there was still so much left to do. He gently closed the door and walked down the hall to the guest bed room and balled his hand up and gave a couple of light taps, hoping that Erica wasn't asleep. It seemed like Mother, like Son that she too hadn't wanted to sleep as she had heard th
  8. Lol well she wasn't intending to confuse anyone but if she did, I guess it wouldn't hurt. Really her main point was to pin everything on Brian to get him sent to jail by labeling the originally unlabeled bottle that he gave to Miracle with her name. It was a frame game more or less. As for Jaemin, hmm I kinda feel like he's on the fence of good and evil right now. I kind of think Miracle keeps him somewhat grounded but not entirely, the fact that Melanie is present in his life doesn't really help either. Though it could just be that his ploy about Craig could very well be to beat her at her own game. Though I think for some odd reason he wants Martha out the door too. I can agree it was a big risk taker to say those things to Miracle but his response was pretty much a 'humor you' response. We'll just have to see, there is a lot of plotting going on and I really think it's Miracle and Sterling caught in the middle of it all.
  9. Hahaha I think Melanie is my favorite villain. I think from the characters perspective that Sterling is only trusting her because he feels he might need a witness to back him up when he tells Miracle the truth about being knocked down the stairs among the other things that Jaemin has done that he knows of. Of course he would have discharge papers but then either Melanie or Jaemin or even both could argue that he forged them being the school smart one that he is. Though I do like your theory about her possibly selling them both out, that begs a possible question to be answered. What would she want Miracle for?
  10. I read that interview, it was a good one! And you'll see, I'm interested to see if you will catch the surprise when it pops out!
  11. Jaemin laid in Miracle's bed, staring up at the ceiling, he could hear the faint voices out in the living room between Hunter and Craig as they both spoke to Miracle but he couldn't quite understand what they were saying, he could tell that Miracle wasn't being very responsive and so he assumed he was listening more than anything. "God, am I doing the right thing?" Jaemin slowly shook his head, finding comfort in the darkness but finding more comfort from the faint glow through the window from
  12. Lol just wait. The two are kind of a match made in heaven. In fact, you just gave me an idea for a HUGE surprise. Thank you so much for your positive reviews, I always look forward to reading them, love when I get to!
  13. "Are you still tired?" Jaemin asked, sitting on the black leather bean bag chair in the corner of Miracle's room. Miracle laid in bed, staring up at the ceiling. "I don't know. I feel confused, like life froze and now I don't know what to do with it." Jaemin grinned. "I think that's called boredom." "Or running out of script." Miracle's head rolled to the side so that he could look at Jaemin. "I've noticed something." "What is it?" Jaemin asked, fiddling with Miracle's cell phone. "Tha
  14. Thank you so much for the review! Sorry if this was confusing, I explained it in reply to your PM but in case anyone else gets confused, this is simply a description of Chapter 1 so when you find chapter one after reading the prologue you are in the right place "The real beginning"
  15. The light through the window caused Miracle to stir and he shifted for a second, his arm moved up to cover his eyes for a second only to move away right after and his eyes opened and he looked out at the cityscape before him and the sun that was rising over the horizon. A deep breath was taken as he took in the sight, feeling peaceful. His gaze then shifted over towards the chair and he found that Jaemin was still there, asleep. "What in the hell is he doing here?" Craig suddenly spoke up, sta
  16. Lol yes he can be though I am curious as to what you might say of his character in the next chapter, whether the sweet moment justifies the means in getting there. That is doubtful in my eyes but I'm wondering if it'll have a toss the coin effect of sorts lmao. And as for Sterling, no he won't be dead. There are other plans Jaemin has for him. He's what I consider a main time player so he'll get mixed in the games that will transpire.
  17. Melanie's blue corvette convertible pulled up along the sidewalk in front of the apartments. "This better be worth it." She climbed out of the car and looked down at her sandles and hugged the leather trench around herself, snake skin purse held close. "Plus ... I look tacky as all hell!" Melanie shut her car door and locked it, walking to the double glass doors and giving a tug to find them locked. A weird and frustrated expression appeared and then she saw the button, assuming it was maybe
  18. Sterling's eyes shot open when he woke up to the sound of shattering glass. His eyes squinted as they went directly to the bathroom door that was left half way open with the light on. He pulled the covers away and moved from the bed and towards the bathroom, having no idea as to the scene he was about to come upon. That didn't take long when he pushed the door open and noticed Miracle laying there, on the floor, surrounded by shattered glass. Sterling looked confused and then he gazed at the
  19. Lmao I love my cliffies! It's like knowing the perfect moment to snatch a book from someone and slam it shut lol! His father didn't have to leave early, his mom called but ultimately it was his decision, I think they just more or less want to silence the problem if they can which is pretty much another way of avoiding good parenting. And yes she sews in the car! Martha can be very nervous, maybe next time I'll have her get pricked when they hit a pot hole or something lmao. I'll be updating soon and there are going to be some new players getting involved, should be fun when the drama and the games really amp up!
  20. "I see..." Martha stood in the kitchen with the phone pressed to her ear, her face frozen with such shock. "Thank you for letting me know. Uh...we will be there to pick him up at the end of the day. I have to wait for my husband to get off work." Martha paused and then nodded. "Goodbye." She hung up the phone. "Mom? What's going on?" Hunter asked, walking into the kitchen. "I've...I've been told some really disturbing news." She said, not knowing how to deal with it she moved back to the cou
  21. Jaemin didn't go to that school, originally. He is homeless and drifts through the city as he goes and simply passed himself off with a fake address just to get close to Miracle. Again Jaemin has always been my mystery character by intention and so at this point it's been very cat and mouse with them. Though I will say that he among newer characters will become closer and entangled in a string of little twisted plots that will play out before things become more drastic.
  22. Miracle walked down that crowded hallway the first day the school opened after the tragic murder of Bradley Kershaw. Even his full name made him sound like such an ass. It wasn't surprising that no one had a nice thing to say at his funeral other than how good he was at football. A sigh escaped his lips, not even knowing what to expect. What did Jaemin want? It was difficult for him to understand. He was being black mailed, yet he hadn't been given any specific orders. So what was he to do to
  23. Thanks again for the review and it makes me happy that you're enjoying the story and you make very good points. His parents do take part in why he is the way he is and his past will be dug more into because part of the point of the story is to answer the question as to why. Another part to keep in mind is what happened to him after he was given away, before he was placed with his current family which that was already partially answered very early on.
  24. To answer your question, I honestly also felt really odd about having that scene with him and Kyler, though I will say that while Miracle does want that fairy tale relationship part of his issues are the fact that when he feels pain he needs to escape from it and that could lead him to infidelity if he's with the wrong person. Also as you will come to find out he has a leaning towards self destruction and often he does things with various motives for why he does them, sometimes not knowing why at all. I did make a change to the scene though, it was a lot more sexually charged and I changed Kyler's motives completely by having him try to prove a point to Miracle. But really I wanted to write the scene that I wrote of him in the office just because I felt like being humorous and I wrote this chapter a long time ago so I guess it was just the idea that popped into my head to get him in trouble to make the cause and effect into the scene I wanted to write. And as I've reread over the story again to remind myself of the sense of it and where I was with it I felt that in this chapter that he was really just mixed up and kinda going through the motions, kinda going with whatever the person he was with was going for, at least for the most part if that makes sense.
