  1. A further thought on this one "They do say a cock in the palm is worth two in the bush."
  2. In that case, I can't wait to see the next panel *cue sexy music* Let's get it on
  3. From my stash of LPs (which, children, means L o n g - P l a y i n g R e c o r d... What record means...oh, never mind) "He had me at 'Cock'." "Well, whatever you do don't ask how the quartet broke up. Aunt Sally is still mad at Aunt Bob moving to San Fransisco!"
  4. Only a few seconds? I guess they don't call him the boy wonder for nothing! hehehe
  5. "Hmm, three to a bed. That's one way to wake up refreshed."
  6. Is that the old saying, "Everybody loves a meme"?
  7. hehe, too latent
  8. Yeah, she's blissfully unaware...for now, lol
  9. Too often certain folks, cultures make it so hard to understand. Being closeted all my life and now at 77 the end is near. To have tried first to fool myself and then all around sneaking porn and an opportunity here and there. It's so much better to be who you really are with the beauty of loving who you love not who you are expected to love. Bravo to the young man in the poem.
  10. ...my, his 'shoe size' is awfully small... hehe
  11. First image "I hope so too"
  12. A thread for posting images that make you laugh. There is that famous British poster with the text "Is housework killing your wife? Well, let electricity do it!" That's the sort of inadvertent humor I have in mind, but with a glorious Queer bend to it. I'll post an image or two, and it'd be great if you post some in return. Maybe provide a funny caption too
  13. Penn's POV about the conversation with his brothers would be good too... just throwing that out there. I'd love to read how he, Ryan, and Logan plotted and executed that sweet move on "poor unsuspecting Nash" and then the follow-up after the high five. But I'll also take whatever you give me @Mrsgnomie
  14. What a rollercoaster of emotions these two (and Mrsgnomie) have put us through. Mature communication with a little bit of humor. Perfect recipe for a successful relationship going forward.
  15. That's a really nice performance. That young man has tremendous talent and control.
  16. The boy's falsetto is amazingly artistic and controlled. I believe the Russian tradition of basso profundo is basic to their (Byzantium-inherited) cultural grounding of what singing is. If you haven't heard Dmitry Seleznev perform, this will be a pleasant experience (and he's easy on the eyes too )
  17. I've known this vid for a while, but did not know this is part of a modern composition (set to Pushkin no less! ). Thanks for that info. Pushkin is famous for his one Gay piece of verse, which is suppressed in English, and barely known (so I am told) in Russian. Here is it: Imitation of the Arabic [Verse Style] My sweet boy, my tender boy, Show no shyness; you are mine for evermore. We share the commingled fire of insurgency; We live in the realm of fearless partnership. I fear not the dangerous taunts of other men, For one being divided in two is how we survive; Our brain like that of a sweet walnut Encased by a single sturdy shell. Alexandre Pushkin, 1835 _
  18. This is such a tough scenario. I feel like Penn's family can see that both of these fools belong together. Their methods are just off-putting and downright trashy but they are pushing them towards a goal: Realize what you had/have and make a decision. I commented on last chapter that I wanted Jason to be Penn's HEA, but after this chapter it's very obvious that these two cannot just have a platonic friendship. Loved the chapter Mrsgnomie. I graciously await the next installment.
  19. It would be awesome for their characters to get their HEA together. Let's see how Mrsgnomie weaves this web!
  20. Jason is a great choice for these exact reasons. That whole misunderstanding and then not trying to hash is out and ignoring Penn only come back and try to "win him back" just doesn't sit right with me. Personally I'm pulling for Jason and a move to California. Let Penn sell the house to Nash since he's so attached to it, and let Nash meet someone new and have his happily ever after too. This story could literally go anywhere at this point and this is what makes it amazing, in my eyes.
  21. Nash. Jason. Neither. At this point, it's gonna be a rollercoaster either way
  22. A grand hot mess of desperation and apologies and lust. And jealousy.
  23. I hope Lee is indeed the "storm" that's coming.

I know little of music and less of classical music. Though many years ago I played the trumpet in my middle school band. I worked with disadvantaged, neglected and underprivileged boys. Lost boys so to speak but many with talents. This story brings back those memories. I don't know why I cried with the reading. The emotion of the characters was there in a subtle way almost hidden. I guess I just love stories of lost gay boys who find love and success and show their talent and overcome obstacles of bigotry and foolish religious doctrum. Although filled with beautiful detail and artful description which can make for a slow read the story held my attention. Yes 5 stars for pulling all my favorite themes into one magnificent read. Thank you for your achievement and the effort it took in the writing.
  25. During the 1950s there was a male performer from Louisiana, from off the bayous. He made this phrase popular: "If I'm lyin', I'm dyin.'" (For some reason I associate the phrase with Zydeco music.) This phrase underscores your truthfulness. "Yes, the check is in the mail. If I'm lyin', I'm dyin'." See how much stronger that statement is? v
