Some famous authors exploit ghost authors and ‘co-authors’ to fill in the blanks in their plot summaries… ;–) Other authors build a world and then invite selected authors to create stories in that world… ;–)

Is that the third or fourth new storyline you need to follow up on? ;–)

    Chapter 25

Poor Jimmy. If only Brian were willing to reciprocate, they could Come Out together as a couple! ;–)

    Chapter 25

Jimmy’s homophobia seemed too obvious a cover for his own sexuality from early on in the story. It’s so sad that things haven’t improved enough in the US for all teenagers to be able to accept their own feelings. The layers of homophobia (institutional, societal, interpersonal, and personal) are incredibly deep-seated. Although things have improved in many areas (in the sense of the four layers as well as geographically) since I was a child, LGBTQs+ are still not as accepted as cis-heterosexual. There is always an assumption of heterosexuality unless there is evidence to suggest otherwise.
  6. In the epilogue we see Robbie and Tom celebrating their honeymoon at Niagra Falls (on the Ontario side). ;–)
  7. Np one is paying attention to the crooked police in a sleepy retirement capital. Besides, how else would the elderly kleptomaniac keep out of jail? Or the wealthy drunk avoid getting DUIs? Many small towns (with their small town police departments) exist specifically so the wealthy influentials can avoid legal problems while harassing those they deem undesirable.
  8. How will Donnie manage to get his sample switched with Robbie’s?

When will you be releasing the Director’s Extended Special Edition of A Silent Song? ;–)
  10. A Silent Song has one major flaw: it’s much too short. It’s not that it feels rushed or anything. It’s just that you grow to love the characters so much that you’re not ready to leave them when the story ends. (Oh, and the title’s acronym seems rather inappropriate!) ;–) We return to Camp Refuge and meet a handful of new characters as well as revisiting familiar favorites. We see growth and some surprising changes. And we feel the love and community that Greg has created in his corner of remote Far Northern California. Wayne has skillfully crafted a rich and beautiful world. Thorne’s editing has made reading this story a pleasure you won’t want to miss. When you read A Silent Song, you’ll join the chorus (sorry) begging for more!

Where’s the other half of this story? It feels like the (first) intermission! ;–) Quit playing Civ VI and that other turn-based game you mentioned! You’re wasting too many writing hours… ;–)

I’m guessing that Bailey will do most of it online, taking short trips to do in-person inspections as necessary.
  13. Alex was selling. Alex also has a tendency to dominate his partners physically. The evidence seems to point to Alex’s involvement in Nathan’s beating, although it seems to be quite a bit worse than Alex is likely to do on his own.
  14. It won’t be the first time he feels betrayed by Susie because she capitulated to Donnie… ;–)
  15. Donnie’s into being fisted‽‽‽
  16. …Or is Conner somehow involved in setting up (and beating up) Nathan? :–( Dump Conner now! Dump Conner now! Dump Conner now!
  17. Is Nathan dealing for Alex?
  18. Mr Lube finally gets a mention after being MIA for many chapters. He really should do a better job of cleaning up. He seems to be slipping (sorry!) out of Nicola’s grasp… ;–)
  19. Oh boy! Donnie is planting evidence again! He got tips from his crooked buddy, the Chief of Police, on how and where to ‘discover’ some of his own coke. If Donnie can tie Robbie with Nathan’s supposed supply, Susie won’t dare oppose his plan to get Robbie locked up. Donnie will be able to embezzle even more of Robbie’s inheritance since he’s the executor. Susie is too weak to stand up against Donnie when it really counts.

    Chapter 8

So sad, a great story started but not completed. I can understand taking a bit of a break but 4 years. I guess I should give the author the benefit of a doubt and say he was incapacitated in some manner.

I don’t know about your grandma, but some grandmothers are frequent PornHub visitors… ;–)
  22. 🤣 Brilliant! Although there were two dead giveaways it was not genuine Beethoven: one, Maestro Moore's polyphony is better, and two, the coda is too short and simple 🤣 Thanks for posting this. Reminds me of Victor Borge's variations on Happy Birthday to You.

Will Harlan distribute the CD on the Reina label? Will we be able to download Bailey’s music from iTunes or Amazon? Is this why the Costa return? ;–)

    Sacrifice

I was expecting Costa, but we got run-of-the-mill homophobic, wannabe bullies instead. With the threat of only a single chapter left, I cannot imagine the Costa quietly giving up. I guess you’l have to write a sequel or ten to resolve the situation. ;–) Don Corbin has yet to make an appearance again either… ;–)
