  1. I've got a landline through broadband, but I never answer it, it's usually just my customers anyway. That's how we roll in small biz IT, baby!
  2. I spent my formative years living on an inland lake, I had several sailboats throughout that time. I love sailing, I wish I had the resources to get a boat and spend some serious time at it. I would love to have a small, two man racer, there's nothing like getting a good full sail in a high wind and running so hard you have to hike out on the side of the boat to keep it upright. It doesn't hurt to have a hot sidekick running the jib either. I also spent 18 months (not all at once) at sea in the Navy, I've literally been around the world. The most impactful and fun (looking back) time in my life.
  3. I'm gay! Mission accomplished!
  4. I thought SG-1 jumped the shark when Jeff Weber Macgyver O'Neill got promoted I thought BSG jumped the shark when Lt Castillo Adama let his kid off the hook AGAIN I think this one jumped the shark when the kid got recruited because of a video game. "The Last Starfighter", anyone? It was that moment that I knew there wasn't going to be one bit of creativity shed on this lump.

    five years

shit with my luck I only get to step 12 and a half Congrats James, now do it again! This time go for 5 years without the drama, its so much easier. The good news is that you're now officially a bleeding deacon, feel free to get all opinionated and bitchy at the meetings. Oh and nevar forget - the first five years is a gift (I'm working on year 11 I think)
  6. He should continue to douchebag his way through the story, always pitting people against each other to get his way. He can be like Sue Ellen on Dallas.
  7. my iphone is perfect for this, I do it all the time.
  8. Of course. The entire soundtrack fits. Even all that, er, "pounding" on the drums. That Youtube video is a little pervy, too. And then there's Debussy - La Mer - a little late for the period though. Handel - Water Music for when George is at court or in London... - stuff they might play at dinner while at sea... Of course - we're not there yet but the ... One of my favorites... I'll see if I can dig up some more.
  9. On the hokey side, I'd say The Little Prince, which was read to us as kids by our brand new stepmom. It got us closer to her and taught me a lesson or two about life - there really isn't a whole lot of difference between a drawing of a hat, or a drawing of a snake eating an elephant, you just have to change your focus a bit. On the practical side, the big book of AA has stories by recovering drunks in it. One of them changed everything.
  10. I like it. I like the idea. I think they did a good job on the pilot. I hope they don't fall into least-common-denominator thinking. I don't like Brannon Braga, because he's the one who dumbed down ST-TNG, but I'm hopeful.
  11. I used to watch seventh heaven, and then I was HEALED.
  12. Yeah, nifty was running this on their home page for a while - I got this from their google cache: "19 Feb 2009: The website Only Gay Stories (dot) COM is copying stories from Nifty and other gay story websites without permission. If you are an author and your story has been copied, please contact the site operator and the webhosting company to complain. " Here is an article from Screeve's blog about it, it has the contact info in it: http://screeve-extra.blogspot.com/ - scroll down to the third entry on the page.
  13. In the interest of science I stopped bathing, and have been oiling myself with mineral oil since Chapter 3. Now give with the home addresses people. I'm comin for a visit!
  14. Oh, and this one - but only because it sucks so bad it makes my eyes water
  15. The Last Song Caledonia *leaves puddle of mush*
  16. Pssst... Enric - it's all made up - not every piece had to fit perfectly.... Suspend your disbelief and enjoy the ride -)
  17. I'm sorry to hear you lost your father, James. I lost mine last year, so I understand something of what you're going through. I'm thinking of you.
  18. Hot damn! Hockey! Hockey players! Hockey, hockey players and sex! Hockey and Stanford? Well, this is gonna be interesting... (I bet Matt is gonna be the BF of one of the younger generation - Darius mebbe?)
  19. This is a really neat little blog, I'm captivated by it. http://www.windycitizen.com/blogs/avondalelogansquarecrime The blogger is a 16 year old boy who has a police radio and reports on crimes happening in an area of Chicago. He has obviously been doing this for a while, he's very familiar with "the usuals" and often refers to addresses that have had previous calls. I have a police radio, but I lack the high crime rate in my area, and the time. But fun to read.

    School Certification

MCSA is a very good track. It's very rounded a d will give you a really good leg up. Smart!
  21. Ah. Well it would probably be best to point this person to a specific place, give them some specific direction on how to get public help. If I was on the street at 20 I'd have been utterly clueless and probably just slept in my car. Anyway it's hard to direct someone if you don't know where they are... how frustrating. Good for you for making the effort!
  22. Well, there are also sites like cruisingforsex.com where you can get listings - in great detail and with comments - about where to go to find the cruisy spots just about anywhere. Obviously there are also chat rooms on gay.com, etc which cater to people looking to hook up, sometimes at a cruisy spot, sometimes not. I've tried to go to rest areas and such for public anonymous sex, but I can't ever seem to do it, I guess I'm not up for the anonymous encounter. I just took a look around that cruisingforsex.com site. I feel like taking a shower in Purell. And I have to wonder how much of the online stuff is really law enforcement trying for some kind of entrapment.
  23. Where is this person in Texas? It's a big place, that Texas.

    Teaser: THOR

I KNEW you were leading up to something, this is gonna be fun.
  25. Your mistake is believing that any of the stuff in the unfinished part of the basement will actually be needed again. You should hire Chase to get rid of it. He'll need a shower when he's done.
