    Terminal 5

Let's go for broke and have Jeremy rip off Crystal on Dynasty: https://youtu.be/nWuDm6NnCzk?si=3s2-HzOWADy_u1mo Or Mark could Remake that "Bubbly's in the fridge" moment from Eastenders:

    Terminal 5

The Doorgate scandal is quite possibly one of funniest moments you've had in CAP. LOL
  3. Anyway, E-A-G-L-E-S!!!
  4. Honestly, it's been a blast these past 16 years. My god, it's been 16 years. LOL
  5. Yeah, Mark liked him as Darius. One of my former Darius picks is Justin Baldoni. He is in the headlines these days for not exactly the best reasons. Honestly, the lawsuits going around the whole Blake Lively v. Justin Baldoni is pretty interesting. I did really like his look for Darius, though. Although looking at this now, I think I'm leaning more towards Ace or Andre.
  6. True, but damn is he hot. I could also see him pulling off the Ace or Darius role.
  7. I am just going to take a moment and thirst over my Ace fancast. https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1JhFqzXr4L/
  8. I see Travis, as he grows and matures, being accepting of the friendship bond between Will and Zach.
  9. I feel like what I miss the most are those random late night conversations you had either in a dorm or a diner/late night eatery after a night out. I think one of my favorite memories was right at the end of grad school, when I had gone with these friends to a midnight pancake dinner that the local church did for finals weekends. These were my final finals, and we all got kind of just silly and started running back to their dorm to watch some comedy show, and I kept thinking to myself that this was the last time I'd get to be a kid like this. (I was actually kind of wrong- the last time wound up being my Firefly Music Festival days. I attended three of them.) I had a mental breakdown when I was a junior for a variety of reasons which eventually led to me having to repeat my junior year. I was pretty much good with undergrad being over by the time I was done, especially because it was a pretty well-known story. I had a COMPLETELY different reaction to grad school ending, though. Mostly because I attended grad school at 24-26, and I just thought those were the best years of my life. I busted my ass and got far better grades in grad school than I ever did with undergrad, and I just felt like I earned it more instead of just coasting through being bright like I did in undergrad. I really felt like it brought out the best in me. The whole night before graduation I was with my friends at a bar singing karaoke. Notably I did "Here's to Night" and then finished with "Closing Time", and I bawled like an absolute baby when I finished. It was hard, really hard letting go of that time in my life. I have loved my 30's (which end this December 7th) but man, to be 25 in 2011 again for one weekend...what I wouldn't give.
  10. Chapter 49 -When Travis comes to visit Will on the jet plane. "Take My Breath Away" by Jessica Simpson -When Travis and Will watch a football game and get an unpleasant reminder of Will's first major love. "All Kinds of Time" by Fountains of Wayne I've accepted that the Will/Zach ship is dead, but hopefully they'll be friends eventually. -When Travis is totally hammered as the rager rages, then gets busted. "Tipsy" by J-Kwon

    Threesome

Hey, so for what it's worth, I talked privately to the person in question and that's all I'm going to say on this matter. Everything is fine. So I really need some silly irrelevance now, so how about pondering who the cute as hell Leo Woodall could play in the CAP Saga? (He's one of Hollywood's current It boys after hitting it big on the White Lotus and One Day on Netflix.) He does tick a couple of desired Arbour story qualities- being a blue eyed blond, and having that beefy teddy bear build. I thought about Kris but Kris I feel needs to be stunningly gorgeous, whereas Leo Woodall is more like boy next door cute. Like that cute baseball player in your communications class or something. He definitely feels like he could have been a character in JWolf's English Year story. Although not Pete, because Pete needs to feel like a standoffish beauty and that's not Woodall's vibe at all.

I think I'm leaning towards this answer. The best way to describe people like Will who have that "It" charisma about them is that you always kind of feel like you're grateful they're talking to you but then you always feel like they're looking past your shoulder to the next person they can talk to. With someone like Jeremy, if you talk to him and get him to actually like you, he's not going to feel like he's waiting for the next person to come up and talk to him.

Two ten year old kids died, and they skated at a figure skating club that I've passed by a million times in my life, and I've known people who've skated for that club. That's giving me a bit of a pause, sorry. And now I'm taking another pause. Damn.

Man, this is kind of surreal. I've always been really proud of the fact that University of Delaware (my alma mater) has such an acclaimed figure skating program, and it really sucks to hear that the club members are in so much pain right now. There's also strong Boston Figure Skating Club ties, so yeah- JJ would be in a lot of shock right now if he were real.

I think if Jeremy really wanted to, he could just say, "Okay, you don't want to talk to me anymore? Look at this, I'm gone." And then just not have any contact at all with them save for with Stefan when he needs his coffers replenished. So some part of him does care.

Holy crap, if JJ were real, he'd have his phone ringing like crazy right now. I know I'd be spooked if I was in his position. R.I.P. to the victims of the Tomahawk crash in Virginia, which apparently included members and coaches of the U.S. Figure Skating Association.

For what it's worth, I do think Mark is trying to ease Jeremy into a place where he doesn't act like a whiny 13-year old. His general character arc plans for Jeremy has been about putting him into uncomfortable places and seeing him grow up a bit from that even as Jeremy whines about doing it. Which makes me really appreciate the moments when Mark actually lets JJ have fun, like dancing at the club or when JJ goes "what the fuck" and does his interpretative dance at the Met when he fails to get Will to go along with his bet with Bellona. I get that he's not everybody's cup of tea, but as someone who knows what it was like to be a VERY socially awkward and immature young adult with a knack for saying the wrong things and pissing people off, I really gotta feel for him. Jeremy also serves as a great foil for Perfect Golden Boy Will, as well. It's like Cal and Aron from East of Eden. (Mark has said he's not much of a movie person but it's a really good movie and I can definitely see the parallels of Cal/Aron and JJ/Will.)

No, no, no, no...Blue was from East L.A. He hasn't posted here since 2016, so if you missed him, it's understandable. Very proud Hispanic dude who worked in the Piggyback Railyard and he and Private Tim would kind of go at it. I enjoyed reading their interactions because it was like watching two very different subcultures of Greater Los Angeles society interacting with each other. Private Tim is from the OC. At least, I think he was. I could be wrong, but he definitely seemed to talk about the OC like he is actually from there. I think he might have mentioned having family ties to Pasadena as well.

I feel like I can speak on the behalf of the entire Arbour team when I say that we really, really enjoy your commentary and reactions. I just wish Blue was still around. The whole "conservative Orange County lawyer dude" v. "liberal East Los Angeles Latino blue-collar worker" dynamic between you two was really fun to watch.

I mean, yeah. Jeremy is just learning how to have a filter instead of just blurting whatever mean shit is on his mind. That's progress, y'all. As someone who was considered a really immature brat at the age of 18 (to the point where I had several sitdown talks with various people about how much they couldn't stand my behavior) I feel a lot of sympathy for Jeremy. And I think I get where his head is- he wants to be more mature and "better" (because everyone is telling him that he needs to be) but he doesn't quite get that you can only get there by actually getting there and doing it. A few words or a letter of apology is a start, but Jeremy's got years of work ahead of him. Although hey, by the age of 25 Jeremy might actually wind up a pretty cool dude, if I do say so myself.
  21. I mean, he really doesn't. If anything he reveled in tattling on people. He's a bitch with no filter, but never been a liar. Mark has a thing about the characters not being liars, at least the ones we follow the POV's of.
  22. What's weird for me is that Will is acting like Jeremy is this master manipulator who gets whatever he wants, but he's just not. Jeremy's bag is throwing a tantrum until someone gives in, and if they don't Jeremy folds. This is Jeremy folding because he knows he can't win against Will. Jeremy is a bitch, but he's always been a transparent one and he's never been a good liar.
  23. I was right on the chestnut brown hair, then. Hmm.
  24. Well, my Private Tim fancast is Michael Landon's openly gay director son, Christopher Landon, if that helps. For some reason I get the feeling that Private Tim and Christopher Landon probably had similar experiences and ran in similar circles as queer Los Angeles kids in the 90's.
  25. Yeah, I'm rethinking my fancast for Tim's husband MattyK, who I originally fancasted as the delightfully weird yet hunky Gabe Basso of The Night Agent fame. I'm not sure I'd call Gabe Basso nerdy. Weird, yes. But nerdy? I'm not sure I could see MattyK building a stone fence just for the hell of it. I think I'm still bang-on with my Xolo Mariduena fancast for their son, though. (Miguel from Cobra Kai.)
