  1. Travis is hilarious, though. He's so anachronistic. Like he belongs in the 1950's and I like that about him. He reminds me of the Civil War re-enactment guys I knew when I was a teenager.
  2. Chapter 12 -When Will cheers on Ian Thorpe, who wins his race. "Let's Get It Started" by The Black Eyed Peas -When Travis apologizes to Will. "Let It Be Me" by The Everly Brothers When JJ spirals mentally about Brad showing up. "The Worst Day Ever" by Simple Plan
  3. Yeah, JJ is the only son that Brad can actually cower into doing what he wants him to do. I think that's why JJ is so scared about this visit, because he's worried Brad won't like Kris and will want him to dump him. Because deep down, JJ probably would do it if push came to shove. At least at this point.
  4. JJ doesn't really care about controlling money or making it as long as the flow of money remains constant.
  5. Chapter 11 -When Will uses his panic button to take care of the homophobe. "Jesus Walks" by Kanye West -When Will and Travis are reunited. "Heat Wave" by Linda Rondstadt -When JJ is given some food for thought by Will. "The District Sleeps Alone Tonight" by Postal Service
  6. JJ being scared shitless that Brad will find some way to fuck up his honeymoon era. Lol

    Sebastian

Chapter 10 -When JJ and Kris get ready for the Tom Ford show. "Make Me Believe In You" by Curtis Mayfield -When Sebastian throws a big fit and Kris explains the situation to JJ. "Le Freak" by Chic -When Kris swears an oath to JJ who wonders if they're making love now, not just having sex. "Is This Love?" by Alison Moyet -When Will pulls the "Do You Know Who My Father Is" trick and is annoyed that it doesn't work. "Move Bitch" by Ludacris

    The Thorpedo

Surprisingly though, he hasn't hooked up with as many curious straight guys as you think he would. Just a couple, Ryan and John Hobart (I'd guess John Hobart to be a little more then just curious) being two of them. I would bet he would have if he had been involved in team sports. In Crosscurrents, you get the vibe that Andy is able to pull so many straight guys because he lives such a straight boy life, so that makes straight boys comfortable with Andy. I don't think you could get the same deal with Will.

    The Thorpedo

Chapter 9 -When Marie gets her "Damn, she's hot" entrance. "Naughty Girl" by Beyonce -When Will hooks up with Ian Thorpe. "Dip It Low" by Christina Millian

    Olympics

Chapter 8 -When JJ decides that he and Kris mesh together perfectly. "Accidentally in Love" by the Counting Crows -When Will checks out the crowd in sun-dappled Greece, enjoying the scenery of the Olympics. "Heaven" by Los Lonely Boys That feels like such a perfect summer song. -When Will gets to flirt with Ian Thorpe. "Oops Oh My" by Tweet
  11. Travis is probably the weirdest CAP love interest Mark has written, and I mean that in a good way. LOL
  12. I'm looking forward to what Private Tim is going to think about a bipolar teenager moving his boyfriend into his condo after 2 dates.
  13. Isn't he a criminal defense attorney? I imagine he's busy as fuck right now.
  14. Chapter 7 -When Travis and Will DTR but in like a weird roleplay way. "Braveheart Theme" -When JJ travels to his therapist. "The Only Living Boy In New York" by Simon & Garfunkel
  15. That's why you don't have a lord courting you, Mike.
  16. Chapter 6 -When JJ finds himself getting woken up by a blowjob by Kris. "I've Been Waiting for A Girl Like You" by Foreigner -When JJ sends Zanie on her way. "Cold Hard Bitch" by Jet -When JJ shows Kris Carullo's old room and basically gives it to him. "I Want to Know What Love is" by Foreigner This is my JJ/Carullo love theme, so it feels apropos for here. LOL -When Will and Travis wrestle and then have sex. "Turn Me On" by Kevin Lyttle
  17. I don't read Kris as a gold digger so much as someone who prefers the finer things in life and appreciates the lifestyle that money can buy. He intends on going for that life with hard work, but it would be nice to have someone that could maintain a beautiful home like what JJ is able to do because his money.
  18. I've always likened JJ to being a child star, except he was the child star athlete. Now that he's done with skating, he doesn't really have a strong purpose or direction in life. Which is understandable given how much of himself he put into figure skating. He could have looked into coaching, but I think JJ likes having his freedom to do fuck all now. A lot of people don't have that luxury, see: his new boytoy Kris.
  19. The "not wanting to grow up" thing is pretty much right on, I think. Anyway... Chapter 5 -When Kris tells JJ about his plans to go by his title, and JJ encourages him. "I Got A Name" by Jim Croce -When Kris cuddles with JJ, they talk, and he makes JJ feel better. With sex. "Dear Prudence" by the Beatles -When Kris reveals more about his life trauma, and JJ invites him to stay. And they have more sex. "Lonely People" by America
  20. I think of Mark as coming up with ways to gently nudge JJ out of his comfort zone to make him grow up. Like he's Walt Disney explaining patiently to a child star that he has to grow up and can't be 12 forever.

What I think is cool about Kris is that he combines Carullo's "every man" quality with Alex's pedigree. Interesting to see if that works.
  22. Well, Mark, I know you're a 49ers fan (at least mildly) and I have to say I really was rooting for you guys. Oh, well.

    First Date

Yeah, even Andy Sharpe from Cross-Currents would be like, "Maybe you need to chill a bit, dude." Edited to add: I did just realize that Andy is in his early 20's while Brad is in his early 40's. There's hope that Andy will mellow out by the time he's pushing 40. Not seeing that happening with Brad. LOL

    First Date

True. Brad is kind of a lot.
  25. I just realized that this British young adult actor Louis Patridge is really close to how I pictured Jack in my mind when I originally read Be Rad in 2009. (Just lighten the dark brown eyes to hazel brown.)
