Delaware isn't exactly Yankee, though.

God, today I had an incredibly fun experience. I was at Bennyfest, which is this small outdoor house concert on Benny Street. As bands were playing, people could go towards the back where a slip n slide was set up. It got extremely muddy around the slip n slide, but none of us cared! We just keep sliding down, getting muddy, having fun. Mud wrestling occured as well...there's nothing more fun than mud wrestling with a college guy! We became the mud people for a few hours. It was fun. Absolute and complete fun. If you guys ever get the chance to play in the mud and do some mud wrestling, go for it. Trust me.

For the longest time, I used to think that being bisexual did mean that the bi guy just didn't see gender. That gender didn't factor into what they found to be hot- a sexy person is a sexy person, regardless of its a guy or a girl. Now I'm starting to see, because of your anecodotes and some of what Mark has described in his stories, that this isn't necessarily the case. So thanks for challenging my long-held notions, Adam. Always good to get that. When I was 19, I knew everything. Now I'm understanding that there's a lot more to know, and my interactions with you have helped with me understanding that.

And so perfect for the end of that chapter, right? -
Okay, here's the deal. Mark's doing the whole Wardroom thing, and while I COULD try to d.j. for it, I've decided not to. So in lieu of doing that, I've decided instead to play d.j. for The Land Whore, for the last 10 chapers that he didn't do music for. There may be overlap, but whatever. If you haven't read it, here's a link to the story: http://markarbour.gayauthors.org/chronicles/lw20.php Chapter 20 -When Roger decides to bottom for Stefan, and they make love. "Make It With You" by Bread http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pFa5E8q-940 -When Stefan talks to Brad about how Josh died, and Brad admits that Josh molested him. "Get it On" (Bang A Gong" by T. Rex http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uueO8BQGLDo -When Stefan confronts Roger, and then, over in Claremont, effectively screws over Nick and Bitty in terms of inheritance. "No More Mr. Nice Guy" by Alice Cooper http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XZnhuOEUFXA

Is upon me, and man...it sucks. However, I'm going to do my best to make sure it sucks as little as possible. Of course, the great thing is- most of my classes will be done, and I only have two final exams during finals week. I just have a couple of papers to turn in, and one exam, by the last day of class, which is the 20th. So between the 20th, I get a nice break to just catch my breath, rest for a few days, and then study like mad for my western civ and geology exam. I just want to thank god for ADD medication- best study aid ever.

Hope you have a fun time getting drunk and celebrating the big 4-7!!!Happy Birthday by Altered Images Man, I wish to god this song had come out in 1980, instead of '81, so I could have used this for Brad's 18th birthday in Be Rad. On, well. So, Mark. Late 40's now. The countdown to 50 begins...3 more years. You should take your son, who will be 17 by then, to Amsterdam. Man. 47. Weird to think that in 2032, I'll be turning forty-seven. Or that in just six years, Marty McFly will be forty-seven, and we're finally going to have those flying cars in 2015. LOL. Anyways- hope you had a good day, with plans for the weekend, since trying to celebrate a birthday during the week usually sucks.

Man, Arbour. These young whippersnappers today born around 1990...just can't imagine a world without the ubitious cell phone. Why, I remember back in my day, if you wanted to talk to a friend, two tin cans and a piece of string would do...and there weren't such things as fancy IPods...for music...we had to use this device called the Victrola. And children has RESPECT for their elders, as well, unlike these madcap hooligans I see running around on my front lawn or over at the mall! Kids these days... Okay, away from my old man rant, I like Marcel. Quite a lot. He's the Hayes family member who's a lot like Stefan. I feel like this is kinda akin to the Land Whore.

I'll grant you "Step by Step" being bubblegum, but I've never considered "Circle in the Sand" to be bubblegum. Belinda's done some bubblegum pop, but this is something that just feels completely different from most of the songs that were hits in 1988. It's kinda obscure, really- you won't ever hear this song come up at 80's Night at the bar. -

I've actually thought long and hard about this, and while I will use a little Nirvana and Metallica eventually... It just doesn't really feel right for the characters, and they're not really grunge or metallica-like people. I mean, trust me, I'll get in some harder rock, but to me, and for these characters, I think the poppier stuff from late 80's and very early 90's fits better. Oh, and in case you were wondering, I'm using 1987 to 1991 as the music time frame here. Mainly 'cause again, there's a lot of great 80's stuff that I couldn't use for MiM because they weren't out yet, and because 1987 to 1991 were Marcel's college years, so it's the music he "came of age" to. As Mark can attest, there's a method to my madness.
