  1. I vote candy maker like Willy Wonka instead:
  2. The term "Gold Star Gay" comes to mind.
  3. Agree with Oxford Blue with silver finish.
  4. Well, you need the star of the show. That's Will. Once he got past his peak bratty behavior in Paternity he's actually been quite fun. If Mark does go through with Travis and Will getting married in 2008, it'd be kind of cool if he uses that as the "endpoint" for Will's storyline and then the focus picks up with Wade's kids as teenagers in the mid-2010's.
  5. Well, Zak is really from Greenwich, Connecticut. Do they wear tank tops there? If not I can just assume he had zero input in wardrobe for that particular photo shoot.
  6. That reminds me of this really wonderful gay film called Big Eden from 2000. It's about a man in his late 30's/early 40's who comes back to the small mountain town he grew up in after his grandfather gets sick. He explores an old friendship he had with his best friend from high school, who is currently going through a divorce. They kind of get into this weird relationship "will they/won't they" deal but when push comes to shove, his friend just can't go there. As much as the friend wishes he could go there, he just can't. Clearly the friend was flirting with the idea, and liked feeling desired, but he just couldn't go there. It's not compatible. (Don't worry though, the hero gets his happy ending a different way.)
  7. I feel like a 2010's model named Zak Steiner has the "look" I'm thinking of for Preston: He later became an actor on the t.v. show Euphoria and a couple of other shows. He mostly specializes in "bro" roles which is why I was thinking of him. But like, at a younger age. (Good thing he's a model so there's plenty of photos of him at the right age!) Definitely gives off the uptight "I'm hot so I never had to develop a personality" vibes that Preston gives off. LOL

    The Funeral

I gotta admit, sometimes when the discussion is on a topic that I know the spoilers for it's really hard not to spill. That's when I remember that Sharon could rent a bus, and she's only about 90 miles away from where I live. LOL But yes, confirmation here that JP was having the same thoughts about Jeremy seemingly being directionless and trying to figure out a way to get him on a path. I did find it pretty in character for JP to expect all of his grandchildren to attend college just like all three surviving children did. I think he was hoping that Jeremy was just planning a GAP year, but upon hitting his 19th birthday with no plans for college in sight JP decided to spring this on him. Hell, I wouldn't be shocked if it was Tonto's idea to set up trusts this way back when the babies started being born in the 80's. I could see Bitty's downward spiral being a big factor in this. I mean, of course, Bitty's downward spiral could have still happened even if she had gone to college, but I could see Tonto thinking that it could have given her focus and discipline. I've always pictured Jeremy in his 30's, wearing high-thread count Egyptian Cotton pajamas, sipping on wine, and reading everyone for filth on an absolutely hilarious Twitter thread.

    The Funeral

I've always thought that Jeremy, at some point, is going to run into snobby East Coast intellectual assholes who dismiss him as a dumb blond West Coast flake like what happens to Elle in Legally Blonde. I feel like Stefan was saying as much. While Jeremy isn't exactly "noveau riche", I don't think he naturally has the pedigree that Bawston Brahmins have. I feel like that was generally true of Jeremy until he turned 15 and everything went to hell in a hand basket. LOL
  10. So this is totally non-related but I just binged "Boots" and thought Max Parker was hot as hell. My god, he looks like he could be a Schluter. LOL (They're all supposed to have strawberry blond hair, right?)

    Chapter 32

It's awesome you're still getting new readers all these years later.
  12. Supposedly that's true for most frat boys.

    Coping

Private Tim is a lawyer. Mark's stories are his vent that keeps him from engaging in a raging cocaine addition, co-mingling to fund the blackjack table, or having sex with a 22-year old paralegal.

    Coping

I remember thinking when Travis showed up that he was going to be Will's nice, normal boyfriend, and Will was finally going to have a stable domesticated relationship.
  15. The links expire in ChatGPT.
  16. I've always assumed that Riley is on track to be a narrator whenever we get to 2016. He'd be 16 then and from a Republican political dynasty. The Donald Trump election makes perfect sense for Will and the Millennial narrators to hand "off", so to speak, to the Zoomers. (As Mark would probably say, I'm tuned into the years 2001 to about 2015. After I hit 30? Not so much although I did love the movies that came out in 2017. LOL) Anyway, R.I.P. Jack Hobart, 1963-ish to 2004. (James Marsden was my Jack fancast but your mileage may vary.)
  17. None of these guys are real. They're created by AI. Although this one is basically movie actor Jacob Elordi, with auburn hair and green eyes. I had him in mind for Will.
  18. There's this up and coming starlet named Sarah Pidgeon. I was thinking I really like her look for Sarah, Will's lesbian bestie that will probably end up his surrogate someday. LOL Something about her face just screams old money. No wonder she's playing Carolyn Bessete in the upcoming Ryan Murphy series about the doomed Carolyn/Johh Jr. romance.

    The Cylinder

Jessica's line about wanting a baby and not having to answer to anybody else made me think of the situation that happened with Jeanine/Tiffany/Cody/Wade. Clearly Jeanine wanted a sperm donor in regards to Maddie, which is what she more or less got with Cody. (Even now I don't think Cody is that much involved with Maddie, who is currently 4.) She and Tiffany expected that also with Riley, but of course they didn't get that once it turned out that Wade was the father. (If it had been Matt, I think they would have gotten that.) Any hope Jeanine had about Wade acting as the sperm donor would've been dashed when Wade insisted that Riley had to have the Danfield name. Lol
  20. I'm getting photos, but they're not staying. I'll use the copy image or copy image link, and the photo will appear, but then it disappears. I'll try adding my Google photo to my Facebook under private uploads and using the URL from that to see if the images stay. It's basically just Jacob Elordi with green eyes and auburn hair and his cleft chin softened up a bit. LOL
  21. I tried to make one of Will using Jacob Elordi as the base. Two of the tries I liked:
  22. Ah, okay. I knew that the Chargers left San Diego and figured this must be their old stadium. Surprising they built such a massive stadium for something that wasn't meant for the NFL, then. The YouTuber noted that the new stadium they built in place is much more appropriately sized at 35k capacity. Are they doing anything with the Chargers stadium or is it sitting empty? I can't imagine city boosters trying to push an NFL team into coming back to the city to take over an old abandoned stadium. LOL
  23. As a total random, I thought Mark our California ex-pat educator might get a kick out of this. They're taking what used to be the San Diego Chargers stadium and turning it into basically a whole new campus for San Diego State University, which was built on a mesa and therefore couldn't really expand. Really interesting to see this! How nice that they were able to repurpose the old Chargers stadium. Also neat that they're making this part of the new transit system they're putting in as well. Kind of surprised we haven't had more chapters set in San Diego, honestly. All those marines and surfers? Just saying. LOL
  24. I'm going to say that his family made bank when, instead of actually mining for gold in 1849, they set up a mercantile shop (Hobart's Mercantile) in San Francisco catering to miners. They were successful enough that they kept opening new mercantiles in various parts of San Francisco. Eventually the stores morphed into modern grocery stores by the 1930's, and really shot up in value once the post-war suburban development boom got going and they spread into the Los Angeles region. The grocery stores were then eventually sold to Kroger's sometime in the 1990's. Is Jack an only child? Because I'm really struggling to remember if he has any siblings. I don't think Marie or John have ever mentioned any paternal side aunts, uncles, or cousins.
  25. Chapter 81 -When Jeremy gets coached by Will on how not to be an ass when he gets a present he's not excited for by Kris. "This Must Be the Place" by the Talking Heads -When Will and JJ dance their asses off to celebrate Jeremy's 19th birthday. "Lose My Breath" by Destiny's Child
