  1. Yes, excellent chapter, Duncan. The scene in the kitchen between Luc and Matt was just beautiful. It was so real, so honest and so raw. WOW! It's looking like they may have found a safe place in one another. It seems, for now, my attention has turned to Luc and Matt. I loved Josh's line....there are many ways to love. So sweet and so true.
  2. Moi? Gloat? Jamais. <puffs up like a blow fish> Jim certainly got a taste of humble pie in chap 26. Well deserved too. Brad handled Robbie very well in that chapter. No pun intended. So it was Cambronne who was influencing the police. Mark tried to hand us that one on a silver platter. The passing of the family matriarch is always a sad event. JP was at his best. Excellent chapter, Mark.
  3. No doubt that Robbie's concerned that Brad will marry Jeanine to make everything more legitamate and doesn't know where that will leave him. Not surprising at all, especially since Brad went on about how much he enjoyed having sex with her. I'm sure Brad will put his fears to rest once he understands where Robbie is coming from. In terms of their own "married" relationship, the timing couldn't be worse. There they are with their new house and new careers and....wham! On the other hand, Robbie already knows that Brad is committed to raising Bitty's 2 children once Grandmaman leaves the picture. However, in this case, the baby's mother will be around permanently. Looks like Brad will be seeking advice from JP again. Good job on the baby prediction, Sir Gally!
  4. Excellent chapter! I never thought for a moment that Robbie had killed Neil. I believed that even more when the cause of death was determined to be strangulation. Not my sweet Robbie! So, the fat lady's singing. You can stop now, sweetheart! I'll get the next one! Oh yeah, baby! :2hands:
  5. I'm not wrong until the fat lady sings!!!
  6. Well, I'm glad we got Paris out of our system! So why do I think Brad is going to take care of Hugo and his little gang back in the Paris prison? Brad should be speaking to Albert soon enough. And I have to agree, the set-up around Robbie being accused of murder needs some resolution. I still can't piece it all together. I agree. The Lou - Steph connection was really great. Great chapter, Mark!
  7. Ok, so I should re-evaluate my flawless first theory using a "delayed" timeline. In a delayed timeline, everything points to Jerry Kohl. Otherwise, I can't make sense of it. Jerry was at the meeting place and Neil didn't show. Jerry started thinking Neil was going to double cross him and take all the cash for himself. So Jerry returns to Neil's apartment in a rage. He finds Neil there (alive of course) and kills him before Neil can say anything. The autopsy will explain how Jerry killed him. Another slam dunk!!!
  8. Ok, this can be logically deducted. Brad is the obvious choice....which means, it isn't Brad. Brad took a cab to Luxumberg (?) right after leaving Neil's apartment. Jerry was there. So, it can't be Jerry....not enough time. Anyway, why would Jerry go to the meeting place if he has killed Neil??? Robbie is too sweet and innocent to kill anyone. Lou is clueless to all these goings-on. JP couldn't have been involved. He was in the US and had no idea Neil was in France....unless, of course, he had someone tailing Brad and Robbie for security reasons....which I will discount as not likely. Neil killing himself just doesn't fit. He still had plans in motion. Ergo, Marcel is the perp. He loves Brad like a brother. I mean, Brad saved his cute butt. So Marcel must have seen Brad, who was really upset that Robbie had left, leave the apartment and followed him. After Brad left Neil's apartment, Marcel went in and found Neil regaining conciousness. That's when Marcel fisted Neil to death....or something like that. I'm so clever.
  9. Thank gawd Robbie got bail. I feared Brad would end up nailing his lawyer, Albert. Hmmmm....interesting question, if you were to rape your lawyer, could he testify against you? I really laughed when JP and Brad were heading out of the apartment and JP told Seph not to f**k the boys. Brad and Robbie are really solid at this point. Yes, I think extracurricular activities will continue to be an issue for them, but, as they say, it is what it is. I really enjoyed that chapter, Mark!
  10. Now that Neil is dead, I can say nice things about him. Ok, I'm done. That was a really intense chapter! The big guns are in Paris now, so that makes me feel better. I can just see Brad being led to the guillotine....."it's a far far better thing I do now than I have ever done...." It's hard to tell what evidence the police have on Robbie. It seems like they can place him at the crime scene at the time of the murder. But that's circumstantial right now. If the police are aware of Neil trying to blackmail Robbie, now that puts motive on the table. Maybe Neil kept a diary of some kind. gulp! If Brad actually goes to the police, will they believe him! The police don't normally release the details of the victim's demise unless they have clear evidence as to the perp. I watch too many cop shows!
  11. Neil had better be dead. Otherwise, Brad could be in deep doo-doo. Brad still has to deal with these "kidnappers" too. I'm thinking once Robbie learns what Brad did to Neil, he's going to be on his best behaviour.....like forever. Given the comments that Robbie made while talking to Neil, specifically turning down Neil's offer to fist him, that's gotta make Brad feel better. Brad said that their issue is one of trust. I have to agree. Trust is so important - at least in any serious relationship. I like the way Brad "collects" young men. It's much more satisfying than stray cats. Mouse can't be alone. He'll die that much quicker. I have no idea how this will turn out. Yes, definitely a cliffhanger. Move over, CJ, you got competition.
  12. And to think I wanted to play Cambronne once they start casting the movie!!! Scratch that idea. That said, JP's role is looking more interesting all the time! I already have the "lack of constraint" part down pat. Great chapter, Mark!
  13. So, I guess sometimes things are just what they appear to be. My bad for starting the paranoia. It's great to have Marcel aboard....as it were. That (chap 17) was one horny making chapter. Robbie's negative!!! If they make a movie of this story, I'm going for Dr. Cambronne's part.
  14. There's only one solution here. Mark has to post the next chapter post haste. Conner
  15. hehehe...Marcel is the obvious interloper. Which, of course, makes me think it's someone else. I just can't think of who else it would be. So why was Robbie at the library until 2 AM? The library wouldn't even be open that late. I definitely see a King of Cliffhangers nomination in your future, Mark.
  16. Really a fun story! Thanks. Lugh.
  17. Well, it would seem that this young lad is a chip off the old block anyways. Now that's a bonding experience. Best OOPS of the entries, Mark!
  18. Government manufacturing licences - you need one to operate your business, but you can't get one until you can demonstrate that you're operating within the law.
  19. That chapter had a great ending!! So who wants a threesome with Brad, Robbie and Marcel? I do! I glad Robbie is so into his studies. He seems to be making the most of his time at the Sorbonne. I'm surprised Brad's profs are saying there's no emotion in his work. Brad's a hotbed of emotion most of the time. He's now skipping classes. Great news about JP! I just know he'll take care of Mouse, whatever happens. I have my fingers crossed for Mouse. I don't think JP could take losing another partner. I'm curious. What does 600,00 French francs translate to in 1985 US dollars? Great chapter, Mark!
  20. A very playful story, indeed. Just a fun read.
  21. I voted for Jim Crampton and a healthy boy. Why? It's a feeling thing!
  22. Did I say that I was looking forward to Paris? That's so freaky finding Marcel. Poor Mouse! Jeff, at least, was good at spreading his seed around. Marcel's not gay???
  23. Chapter 13 was a lot of fun with the stag and wedding. Jack is just adorable. I'm looking forward to Paris.
  24. I couldn't find it!! Still a great chapter though, Jack.
  25. hehehe...maybe Mark is vying for a 2009 "King of Clifhangers" nomination. There hasn't been an Iranian character in the story that I can remember. Maybe that's a ruse? Bitty did imply that Darius' father would be someone Brad knows. I can't figure it out. Ace??? That would be so wrong! Besides, he's already getting plenty.
