I think of it more like exploring. Even if you know the cupboard is empty, you still have to look. :king: Snow Dog the Domaholic Danderthal (Free the Tree)

This is the place for stupid threads. I would love to talk about more serious issues but we have to wait for the soapbox to reopen. I sense a bit of jealousy though as you didn't think of this topic first. Perhaps I could start a thread about how many times I have posted for the day. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I never said that stupid was a priori bad. Why is it people always take observations as judgements? :king: Snow Dog the Domaholic Danterthal (Free the Tree) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> When is "stupid" a good thing? "Stupid" is not an empirical observation in this sense, it is subjective. And as they say,"Opinions are like A-holes, everybody has one and they all stink." I am doubting that people "always" or "never" do anything. That is quite a generalization. Don't dish out what you can't handle in return. Good day, sir. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Kind Sir, I am somewhat taken aback by you assertion than I am unable to accept the give-and-take of witty repartee, such behaviour would be downright scandalous; I am not a boor. Stating that the subjective adjective "stupid" is not an a priori (<-- that's a hyperlink) bad thing does not mean the same thing as saying it is good. As to desire for an example, hmm, the 7/21 London bombers were adequately stupid so as to be unable to effectively construct exploseve devices with proper detonators. As to your characterizations of the odiferant nature of the egress of the lower digestive track, I suspect that there may be several members of this forum with an opposite opinion. Finally, in that same statement, you make a similar all-encompasing categorical absolute to which I am later derriden by you. Do not hold yourself so high as to think that you are anything but beneath Us. HRH :king: Snow Dog the Domaholic Danterthal (Free the Tree) All grammatical errors are the responsibility of the Imperial Editor (application always encouraged)

That just relates to the whole 'left hand/right hand' thing :king: Snow Dog the Domaholic Danderthal (suddenly finding himslef thinking about the rotational dynamics of toilet paper rolls )

Mag, You should be very happy that he changed the roll of toilet paper on his own :king: Snow Dog the Domaholic Danderthal

Now that's a surprise!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hey, I'm just full of surprises :king: Snow Dog the Domaholic Danderthal

I'm sorry, this thread is even more stupid than the character analysis of pets in Dom's stories. I'm in the don't give a sh-one-t which way it goes camp, although I understand that for some of you it is quite a thing. :king: Snow Dog the Domaholic Danderthal

Yes, but did she buy any purses? :king: Snow Dog

keeping the discussions rolling
Masked Monkey replied to redlightfeeling's topic in Comicality's Shack Clubhouse's Cafe
I basically only do scientific/technical writing which is totally different in terms of grammar and style, but not basic structure. When I write, I start with the figures and equations (which would correspond to particular scenes or events), place them in the proper order, and connect them together and making sure to fill in the introduction and back stroy as necessary. Often I will realize I need more figures or equations to explain what I am saying, so I go get/create those. Unfortunately, it is kinda formula, but hey it's technical writing. There are only so many ways to talk about the emittance of an electron beam or the density perturbations during an instability. Snow Dog -

Beast, that really sucks, I'm sorry. I know what it is like to have a medical issue that won't ever go away and you are always worried about. The thought of vision loss is really scary. I'm glad it was caught early, I'm sure new and more effective treatments are coming every year. The advice I give everyone I know who has a chronic medical condition is to make sure that your medical professionals are the best you can afford. Chronic conditions affect you emotionally as well as physically, so make allowance for that, both in terms of the immediate shock, and the long term depression. You have done so much for yourself in the last year or so, don't let this be a setback. Take care of yourself, Snowey

Dude, nobody is gonna think you are a stupid kid until you say something stupid. Even then, we'll probably think you just said something stupid. I will grant you that you are a kid, and goobers (gobears) is just being a crochety old guy so ignore him. It shouldn't matter if we here on this forum think you are cool, and you might be surprised at who thinks what is cool. IMHO shoving a piece of metal through your dick does not in and of itself make you cool, anymore than a tattoo or a piece of metal anywhere in you body. Hell, I paid a lot of money to have two titanium pieces put in my spine and that was way not cool (sorry michael, I might exceed the "cool" limit I imposed on you). If the reason you shoved the piece of metal through your dick was to make people think you were cool, then you probably failed. If you did it because it was for you and how you felt about yourself and something you wanted to express or discover about yourself, great. Personally, the tought makes me nauseous, and no piece of metal is going to be a consideration when deciding if I like someone. It may be a cute toy on someone else, but like all toys, I would soon grow indifferent. The fact that you are here and expressing yourself; joining in and letting us get to know you makes you welcome. Whether or not you are cool only depends on how often you agree with me. The more you do, the more cool you are :king: Snow Dog the Domaholic Danderthal

Alright, since you asked so nicely, unless he shows up on my doorstep, I'll leave him alone . Just don't make him sleep on the sofa, he needs you to help keep him warm. <who are you, and what are you doing on Snow Dog's computer! ... quick, somebody call the FBI> :king: Snow Dog the Domaholic Danderthal

Yes, but I get paid by the post Snowey

I don't seem to recall you being a part of one Oh, oh, you meant you enjoy reading them ... I get it now :king: Snow Dog the Domaholic Danderthal

If he makes you sleep on the sofa, I think we can find other places that might be more comfortable. It might require a passport and plane trip however. :king: Snow Dog the Domaholic Danderthal

I would just like to point out that I am not the top poster for the day. :king: Snow Dog the Domaholic Danderthal I'm Snow Dog and this message was approved by me Edit: Note that "today" was July 26, 2005, this statement may or may not be true on other days (probably not true)

I love it when ... I get a call regarding a second job (even though it means moving to Virginia ) ... The mascott for the main collaboration is a feline ... taking the job means I get to make fun of King/Lee/Jackson day because MLK Jr. is right up there with the other two ... my cost of living would reduce by ~10%, and I won't leave CA without a raise :king: Snow Dog the Domaholic Danderthal

Makes sense to get the easy one out of the way first. Sharon PS. Plucking my eyebrows is about as much self-inflicted pain as I can take. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I have enough physical pain in my life, I don't need to add more for the 'fun' of it. I do however have the med so that it wouldn't hurt to bad (i wouldn't feel it), and NO, I don't share. (Got my piercings before the back problems) :king: Snow Dog the Domaholic Danderthal
