  1. Just wondering about your opinions (maybe this should be in the Soapbox) :king: Snow Dog
  2. I hate it when ... I have to read my thesis to prepare a presentation for part of my job interview, and I realize that I am probably the only person who will ever read it. ... I find 15 typos in the first 100 pages :king: Snow Dog the Domaholic Danderthal
  3. I think I would have killed you, although being tired helps when you need to use the 'Disneyland Look' to cut through the crowds. The 'Disneyland Look' its the tired/emotionally drained/sick of the kids facial expression and physical mannerisms that tells everyone around you "don't f**k with me or I'll beat the crap out of my kids if I ever see them again." It is amazing how easily you cut through. :king: Snow Dog
  4. It was a bit different Other One :king: Snow Dog <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think if we do enough of these, someone's going to be able spell our real names <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hell, I've pretty much put out enough information that a good PI could figure out who I am without too much trouble. :king: Snow Dog
  5. As I always say: "I like tequila, but tequile doesn't like me  :king: Snow Dog I'm a Jack man myself
  6. Guess I have to eat my words regarding you actually being able to get it on your birthday. :king: Snow Dog
  7. Happy Birthday You actually can get your license on your birthday, assuming you got all the other crap done. :king: Snow Dog
  8. So are you in the mood to write now? :king: Snow Dog
  9. Didn't we already do this? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It was a bit different Other One :king: Snow Dog
  10. Dog doesn't have 4 letters, so we will make this a fill in the blank for the reader. Goober Bubble_________. :king: Snow Dog oh, the other one is Squeezit Girdlefanny
  11. How tragic that the faith that rejects you also provides you comfort. Religion is the Soma of our world. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think his point wasn't that HIS faith rejected him, but that the interpretation expressed by lis local pastor(s) rejected him, making silence and misconception the norm. Still sad though. :king: Snow Dog
  12. I hate it when ... I get up too late for the headache to be stopped by that first cup of coffee. ... because you are late with the first cup of coffee, the headache will remain all day. ... the caffeine headace is bad enough to break through the pain medication you are taking for your back. ... I suddenly realize (again) that I'll never ride a roller coaster again ... I'm feeling sorry for myself for no good reason :king: Snow Dog
  13. Actually, I don't think Myr is a neo-con, a con maybe, but certainly not neo.
  14. Umm Beast, the ELO was a joke , I could have added ABBA and oh say David and Sean Cassidy or the Bee Gees or David Hasslehoff if I wanted to. What about Foghat or Blue Oyster Cult? :king: Snow Dog
  15. You're joking right? That's sarcasm, correct? *Hugs signed copy of Harry Potter 1 close to his chest* I'm not a fanatic like a few of my friends, but I've been a fan of it since way before it became popular in the United States. This new book sounds really good, but depressing and my mental stability is rather tense so I don't know if I should be reading it now... meh. //shadows <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Closeted gay kid in a Catholic high-school with a reading list that would depress even the most steady of the Rainbow crowd and you call your mental stability "rather tense"? Hmm, wonder why? :king: Snow Dog who decided looking for a job was more important (besides, someone else is reading my copy right now) Edit: Oh and Mark, F.U. and the hores you rode in on. HP is one of the best mystery series I have read, I put rowling up there with Elizabeth George. And you should know better than to use words like "materialistic-iconoclastic" where you'll just leave people scratching their heads
  16. I love it when ... New Harry Potter books come out (even if I can't read them right away) ... I say "screw looking for a new job, I'm gonna read Harry Potter" ... I anticipate a quiet weekend here at GA as everyone has their heads in the same book :king: Snow Dog
  17. What, no ELO? Ozzy but no Sabbath? no AC/DC? No Zepelin -- dude you're a freak
  18. As are Alex Lifeson (Zivojinovic), and Neil Peart. :king: Snow Dog
  19. I hate it when ... I am hungry but know I will puke if I eat ... I'm so nervous waiting for my cell to buzz (that's cell phone, not terrorist cell) ... I can't do my current job because I am nervous about the next one ... I really want the job, but really don't want to move. ... I can't think of anything more to type, so I just tap my fingers a;sldkfj a;sldkfj ... I see 'gobears' and read 'goobers' :king: Snow Dog EDIT: ... you get the e-mail saying the guy who was supposed to call you got slammed and wants to put it off 'till Monday
  20. Such is the power of the Lord Jesus Christ :king: Snow Dog God from God, Light from Light <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hmm. It did sound like I was condemning Korn, Not the case I still love them just didn
  21. Such is the power of the Lord Jesus Christ :king: Snow Dog God from God, Light from Light
  22. All I can say is thank Betty for MP3 car decks. I can almost put my whole Rush collection on 1 disk and just set it on random. I leave Limelight out of the mix because I am not allowed to listen to it in the car (per my insurance agent) -- every time I have there has been an accident or near accident. 2 (or 3) petals, 1 steering wheel, (1 gear shift), two hands, two feet -- you figure it out. Oh and yes, I have other mixed disks, including one with no Rush at all for when I am forced to play nice to the "I absolutely hate Rush" people. Oh, and I can't listen to Pour Some Sugar on Me without remebering how hard it was to resist the urge to rip the clothes off that freshman , and feeling it all over. :king: Snow Dog
  23. Of course you agree with me, I am right. You have to be in the right mood for Floyd (depression helps so you Rainbow 'people' might not understand). As for Poison/Ratt/Def Lepard etc. You'd have to tie me to the chair to listen to it. I did listen to Def Lepard while I was hitting on a guy who really liked it, but he flunked out half-way through his freshman year , wasted time. :king: Snow Dog
  24. This is funny, on my drive home from work I thought about posting the classic desert island question... what 3 albums would you take. This question is fine. Growing up the youngest of four (4, 6, and 8 years older, and I wasn't an accident, I was my dad being too tired to drive to the drug store my parents first night in California), I listened to the great 70's rock whether I wanted to or not. It may be no surprise that my all time, #1, favorite band is Rush , I could listen to nothing but 2112 for the rest of my life and be happy. I even have the string quartet versions of 2112 and Exit...Stage Left. You haven't heard anything until you have heard a lead violin playing YYZ. Having just seen Steve Miller, he is at the top of the list, along with AC/DC, Led Zepelin, Black Sabbath, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Van Halen (not Hagar), Bowie, Stones, Jethro Tull, Pink Floyd, The Who, The Ramones, The Clash, Cheap Trick... well, you get the picture. For my 3 album question, I came up with Rush 2112, Steve Miller Greatest Hits 1974-1978, and Zepelin 4 :king: Snow Dog
