Loved Loved Loved Chapter 56, this story just keeps getting better and better... I could see this story in the series going to one hundred chapters easily, there is just so much going on.... I just knew that both Jeanine and Tiffany were both going to end up pregnate, this just creates so many lovely possibilities... I do think Brad is right though, I am not sure that Matt or Wade reallly thought of all of the issues they will have to be dealing with but this is gonna be good... I can't wait til Mark decides who the fathers are going to be. I hope that this story continues to jump back and forth into Claremont, there seems to be a wealth of new areas to pull from there now. I realize that with the business side and the battle coming down the pike, we can't keep everything focused there but don't want to go to long without a Claremont fix... Keep up the great job and when is the next chapter coming, Mark??? :2thumbs: :2thumbs: :2thumbs: :2thumbs: :2thumbs:

Really enjoyed Chapter 55... I have always liked when the story goes back to Claremont; for me some of the best chapters in all of the stories have taken place in there. I agree with earlier comments that the mixture of the Claremont and California kids may cause a few waves. Wonder if Gathan only accepted the scholarship to Ohio State because they couldn't afford to send him to Stanford, his going there would bring him into Matt and Wade's field of orbit. And no, I am not knocking Ohio State but between the two, you would think Stanford would generally be the better choice, depending on what you wanted to major in of course. Nick knowing who is on the honor role isn't that far out of the realm of possibility... In a small town, I am guessing that Claremont is probably less than 15,000; the mayor would probably know information like that... Small towns are much more interdependent on different political, social, economic forces working together and being aware of what is going on in all levels of the community. I actually didn't think that Brad's behaviour at the country club was snobbish... He just didn't want Gathan to be embaressed by not knowing what was going on there, the men's room was probably the only place to drag him into on short notice to have some privacy to give a few hints. This was an act of kindness not snobbery. I have seen people thrown into situations like that that were really hurt by comments from others when it became obvious that they were not use to being in a place like that, Brad just wanted to shield him from that. As always, keep up the good work Mark and can't wait for the next chapter...

Millennium - Chapter 54
centexhairysub replied to Mark Arbour's topic in Mark Arbour Fan Club's Topics
I always thought the sex between Sam and JP was really hot... Sort of suprises me that Stef went there as back then he seemed to view Sam as very much a servant and was sort of rude toward him... I was actually just talking the other day with someone about what happened to Sam, the last mention that either of us could find was Vela talking to JP about him after he came back from France and Jeff had lied to her about JP cutting him off because he was rude to them when they went to visit. The last time Sam actually appeared in the story as far as I could find was when JP was touring and giving the lecture about Vietnam and they had to go through the picket lines to see him when the Black Panthers had seized that building on campus.... -
I'm still looking for someone who can tell me what e-stim is like. Maybe I'll write that in eventually. That is the use of electrical currents during sex... You will normally attach electrodes to certain sensetive areas and control the current running through them. You have to really trust the person though because that can go from being fun and hot to painful and used for hurting or punishment in a heartbeat...

Have we even established how old Gathan is? I re-read the story and nothing seems to indicate if he is in high school or older, or did I miss it? I also don't seem to understand the Hayes bashing, maybe it isn't bashing but that is what it comes across as to me. The family seems to be permenately intertwined and I don't see Mark dropping them from the story, so what gives???

Thought this was a great chapter... Keep up the good work. I really like the direction that this story is going and the writing is just first rate...

:worship: :worship: One of the best chapters in this story.....

Chapter 54 is up at least on Mark's group and what a great chapter it is... I am really glad that some of the action is going to be moved back to Claremont; as screwed up as the town ended up being, I really believe some of the best of the earlier chapters took place there... Having some of the action move back there is like going full circle, JP et al couldn't wait to escape or move away but now their sense of noblesse oblige has kicked in and the have to come back and try to save the place; after all the family has some strong French roots and being tied to once past is very much apart of the French mindset. I have to admit that the play in the " love den " actually sort of bored me, as well written as it was, this story is just so much more for me than about sex... Not saying that I don't enjoy the stories forays into that at times but.... I knew that we would have to bring Wade's parents back into the story orbit with the idea of working with a Defense contractor and can't wait to see how that is explored. Keep up the good work and can't wait for the next chapter....

Enjoyed Chapter 52, it was nice finding out more about Brad's Bio-Dad... It is easy to see how the trauma that followed the appearance of his Bio-Dad caused him to block out the visit. The only good thing that Brad's mother ever did for him was to take him to JP and Isidore's before she killed herself. She was at least lucid enough to know that he would always be safe and loved there; some part of her must have cared enought to want him to be safe... The chapter still is not showing everywhere, if you don't follow the link it is hard to find. Hope that Gay Authors completes there changes and it becomes easier to use...

Damn, the last part of Chapter 51 was just great... I am so happy that Brad got to met his biological father, even if he just remembered it in a flashback. Brad can now know that his bio-dad did care about him, that may help him on more than one level. I wonder if Stef by telling different influential people that he believes the tech market is over-priced doesn't in the story end up pushing the market toward the bubble busting events. Sometimes it only takes one or two people that the markets really listen too to effect the market as a whole... I do agree with others that while hate can motivate someone toward a goal it will generally make it harder to reach that same goal; hate does often blind you to the truth and facts that might lead you away from what you want to accomplish. While using hate as a motivating tool is easy to start with, the complication is brings makes it messy and usually to destructive to be effective. The story just keeps getting better and better and I can't wait to see how it all turns out; great job on this one Mark and keep up the good work!!!!

:worship: Just have to say that chapter 50 was great... The interplay between Brad and Lark was pitch perfect. I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed all of this. Lark seems to realize that he had turned into a complete ass in his old life; I hope he takes this chance for a new one to make something special of his future. I didn't even think about the detective that is being such a jerk as being on the other sides payroll but it does make perfect sense. He was just going way past what would normally have been done at this point in an apparent suicide. Loved Brad coming home to Robbie and the scene that played out there, it was just fantastic. I think that those to are just perfect for each other. I don't see anything other than death ever coming between them again. On a totally non story issue, what the hell is going on with gay authors home page? Does anyone know? I have stuff listed from today along with stuff as far back as December 17th just interspaced in... It is completely confusing... Mark keep up the great work, eagerly awaiting the next chapter....
-
Angel or Devil, not sure which you are Mark.... Great chapter and hope the wait isn't too long... Brad was really skirting the issue with Robbie to me but at least he kept his pants on. I was sure that Lark was still alive and there he was. Keep up the great work....
-
:worship: This is truly one of the best chapters in this story... I loved everything about it until the end... WHAT WERE YOU THINKING...... I MAY HAVE A BREAKDOWN...... HAVE YOU NO SENSE OF DECENCY... Okay, i am calmer now but still need the next chapter quickly before I go off the boil again...
-
Oh, I don't know about that... I never thought that Robbie was all to blame in this... I do think Robbie acted immaturely and brought some of this on himself but in my opinion, Brad's behaviour in this story and the several leading up to it was more to blame than Robbie's. Brad has always had a my way or the highway attitude about himself and in several of the recent stories has been on the verge of being emotionally and verbally abusive toward Robbie. So while Robbie asked for the seperation and may have gotten more than he bargained for... it was not all his fault.... Now, having said that; I hope that they do end up together... I have always believed that Brad and Robbie were destined to be together but they both need to be more aware of the feelings of each other....
-
Well well well.... Hope that Lark doesn't prove to be as untrustworthy as he has been in the past... I could see him going to Dan saying I want out, but if you pay enough, I will pass whatever you want onto Brad; Dan get the fake financials together and then an even worse fake set to make it look like the first set is legitemate. Maybe I am just giving them to much credit for being devious but given Lark's past escapades I would not put it past him. What is the saying about laying down with dogs??? I actually like the interplay and yes, even the sex, between Brad/Robbie and Cody/Kevin. While I do worry some that Robbie could end up with more feelings toward Cody than Brad would be comfortable with; I don't see that happening. I have always felt that Brad and Robbie were meant to be together, even since high school. I just truly believe that in the end they will do whatever it takes to stay together. I know a lot of people don't seem to like Cody or Kevin much, I admit that I do on both counts; but I think their relationship is more at risk. They are just starting to get together and that is such a fragile stage for any relationship. If the information that Lark provided is real, then let the real battle begin... The information should give them good ideas on where the pressure points and who the other key players are in the corporation. Keep up the great work...:2hands: :2hands: :2hands:

Well, I just read Chapter 46 and don't even know where to start... The scene on the beach with Brad, JP, and Isidore was just heartbreaking; we have had so many truly interesting people come and go in this series and it was so nice to take a moment and remember some of them.... :( I have always been like that on New Years Eve; I always get retrospective and spend half the night thinking of those that have touched my life, whether they are gone or still around. I just found the tone of that whole experience perfect... I also really liked the back and forth between Brad and Robbie the whole night; they really seem to be back in a good place and I for one hope that it stays that way from now on. Much like JP and Stef, I think that Robbie and Brad were meant for each other. I will say that I think that Brad has also figured out that he cares for Cody as more than just a friend. I don't know what is going to happen there but as long as it doesn't cause issues with him and Robbie; I am all for it. I really liked that Stef and Will maybe getting closer; Will has always seemed sort of lost to me and maybe with his new openess with Brad and his move to get closer to Stef, he will become more of a complete person. I hope that over the next few stories we get to see more of all the kids. We all know that because of the burst in the tech market that Brad, Stef, et al... will win the fight with the Carmicheals and Brian; I just hope that everyone manages to hold onto their souls while fighting it out. A truly great chapter that had something for everyone; I do think the scene on the beach was the best though....

:worship: :worship: :worship: Loved the newest chapter of this story, it just keeps getting better and better. I do agree that Granger seems to be more comfortable at sea but with his family and all, some time on land would be a requirement, I would think. I love how Mark seems to be able to bring to live so vividly the reality of the times these people lived and existed. I do realize that the research is quite extensive, you can tell that by the level of authentic detail. Keep up the good work, this story is starting to rival CAP, at least in my mind...

I really enjoyed the latest chapter. The interplay between Brad and Will and JJ, to a lesser extent was very revealing. I do agree that Brad just know seems to be realizing that he has a great family and needs to be more involved in it. I do worry that Brad will get lost in his quest for revenge but hope that Robbie, et al... will keep him focused on what is really important. I do like the interplay between Brad and the kids and would love to see more of this. I would love to see more interplay between Will and JP and Stef. I can sort of see Will as the heir presumptive of his generation already. JJ is starting to get some development so I will be interested in seeing where his storylines takes us. Keep up the good work and keep the story coming...

 I loved chapter 44... I thought the tone was just right for the type of location the confrontation took place in and the subtle digs worked really well in that respect. I think this is about to get good.... Now to the people bitching about Cody; Brad's behaviour isn't any better yet none of you seem to care about that. I know quite a few people like Cody that grew up in the Hollywood system/area; and yes, it is different from other places. Cody has been there since he was quite young and just really coming to terms with himself. I can promise you that he isn't the only person to express himself through sex. Maybe it is how I am perceiving the comments, but you are all coming off quite holier than thou... Cody is straight up and honest about his position with everyone. Cody has never been vindictive and never appears to try and hurt anyone with his behaviour. He was that way with Brian, and even when he tried to change and couldn't, he tried to explain to Brian why it wasn't going to work. Cody was upfront with Stef in an earlier story, he was upfront with Matt and Alejandro in Bloodlines, and with Brad and Robbie in this story. In actuallity, Stef, Brad, Cody, and Matt are all basically the same person just at different stages of their life. Yes, there are variations but the core of each of them is very close to the same. Cody was not any worse to Brian than Brad and Robbie have been to each other at different points in the more than one story in this series. Now let the bitching begin...

Who knew that being bad was going to feel this good!!! The new chapter was great and the ending was pure torture, the next chapter better get here quick, or I might just expire from the tension. I think the next couple of chapters are gonna be very interesting... I am worried that Robbie might be partially right about this though; could Brad win the war with the Carmichaels and Brian but lose his soul in the process? Is winning at any or all cost ever really worth it? I have knows people like that, the need to win was more important than anything else, loved ones, family, business, even themselves. I think it is great that Cody and Kevin seem to be nearing something meaningful and would hate for this to damage that. I do hope that both that Jeanine and Tiffany both end up pregnate and that works out well for everyone. I do think Brad is right about that, no matter who the father is with Tiffany's baby, Matt or Wade, the paternal instinct maybe stronger than they believe it to be now.... Keep the great writing up....

Really enjoyed the latest chapter, I think this story just gets better and better. Granger does seem to have a talent for meeting and helping those in positions of power or connected to a position of power. This is something that will always serve him well. His instincts are excellent. Although, Spain and Britian will soon be at war because of those damn French, LOL, I have to think that Granger will get a good welcome in Spain no matter what... I know this story because of the historical factors involved is harder and more time consuming to write but I treasure each and every chapter and look forward to the next. B) B) Staying cool and collected til the next one... Keep up the great work Mark....

Generation Five of the CAP Saga
centexhairysub replied to methodwriter85's topic in Mark Arbour Fan Club's Topics
Well, I voted for Matt and Robbie being the fathers; however I still think it would be great for two sets of twins with four different fathers. That would just tie everyone together happily ever after, I am sure... I do agree that with Wade being the father and having to deal with his parents would bring about all kinds of extra issues but the idea of two sets of twins is just so freaking compelling... Whatever does happen, I am sure that Mark will handle with his usual gift of flair... -
OMG... I just had the greatest thought.... Two sets of fraternal twins with four different fathers.....
-
OMG!!! All the hetero sex in Chapter 42.... I loved the three way with Brad, Robbie, and Jeanine; it was unbelievable hot... It was so good to see the three of them not just connect on a physical level but on an emotional one as well. I am sure the three way between Matt, Wade, and Tiffinay was just as hot but.... Matt or Wade as a dad, hmmmm..... I think I can see Wade as a dad easier than I can see Matt but you know that both would do everything for a child of theirs... I am so glad that JP and Stef made up, they truly do belong together.... I think Brad should have felt a little guilty about what happened between he and JP, but glad they moved past it as well. I wonder what Brian and the Carmichaels thought when JP's letter to Brian arrived at their doorstep???
-
Well, I said nothing about him living in the lap of luxury... What I said, and stand by, is if he is totally down and out and living on the street, you can't leave him there. If you do then you are more *#%(@&* then he is.... If you can't get past it enough to help him off the street, then put him out of his misery like you would any animal. I don't think Brad or Stef either one, has the balls to truly do that, JP does but....
