She's the kick Rayn needs. She's always first and foremost protecting Daniel, but she's a real rock and champion for Rayn too. I think she's only just starting to realize how damaged Rayn really is, and to want to work with him and not against him

She's a fierce woman, that's for sure, but she has a heart of gold It would take a strong man - or woman - to keep up with her. Maybe I'll write her own story one day.

Thank you. I have absolutely no problem with criticism because that's how I learn to be a better writer. It did surprise me a little though because I didn't think this was a particularly explicit or sensationalist scene. It wasn't meant to focus on the act per se but as a way of revealing Andy's nature and for Rayn and Daniel to have their first major challenge. It was the fact that Daniel witnessed it more than anything else that was important.

Yes, I didn't want to make a big issue of the sex. It probably was something big for them, but not something I wanted to dwell on. It could easily become a huge issue given Daniel's problems and whilst I don't want to skate over it as such I didn't want to focus on it either. Rayn and Daniel had sex, it was great, they moved on.

Daniel, as sweet and lovely as he is, is definitely a handful and will keep Rayne on his toes. However, in many ways Daniel is Rayne's saviour too. this is no one way relationship

Haha keep the title Rose Queen to the end of the story. Can't help but let the darkness free even when I'm trying not to. I do have a romantic side though, that's true. Maybe the Rose Queen with thorns. Or the Black Rose Queen The whole thing at Henllys was based on shows I did there as part of a Celtic re enactment society. Whilst the people are not absolutely those I know they are definitely based on characters I have met and the activities I've been part of.

Last things first, I have no idea where the name Rayn came from. I think I read it somewhere and it stuck in my head. I needed a special story to use it in and a special person to use it with. Th thing about Rayn is that he's as flawed as Daniel in many ways. During the course of the story he acts bravely, stupidly, protectively, self destructively, ignorantly, selfishly, selflessly and all the other things normal fallible people do. He makes a lot of mistakes but he never mistakes his feelings and focus for Daniel. I loved writing this story and I am actually in the process of re writing the end because I needed to bring some of this sweet innocense back

Oh heck no. Daniel's innocent joy is even more beautiful than his outward appearance. At least, I have always found innocence to be attractive.

Don't worry. Rayn is focussed on Daniel at this point but he DOES call the cops, and Rayn and Daniel definitely mux through a few more chapters Thank you! *hugs*

Don't worry, hun I never take offence at criticism as long as it's thoughtful. In fact I welcome anything that might make my writing better. First, the table. Daniel himself comments that the table broke into little cubes. It was safety glass. It wouldn't have cut him. I'm pretty sure that Daniel's head hurt too but his shoulder hurt worse. I agree that Rayne opened the door way too easily but he's so conditioned by Andy he didn't really have a chance and I don't think he's still realized how dangerous Andy truly is. Don't worry, he does go to the police. Once he's sure Daniel is safe with Sara he goes straight to the police station. Of course, they'll have to interview Daniel but they'll have to come to the house for that. I'm pretty sure Sara will convince Daniel to make his own complaint, although that will bring its own problems at court in particular. The story is not over and Andy hasn't been frightened away altogether. You're right. It was wrong of Rayn to think of Daniel as a child here. I'm going to change that. Sar thought he was doing the right thing. He can see how being without his natures are upsetting Glory and he wanted to help. It was a balance really between leaving Glory in distress or bringing in the scientists.

I think Glory will benefit from a time without cat. It will clear his head. Not that it feels like that right now, I'm sure.
