Cyn's Poetry Collection - 9. Colorful Emotions

Happy, anxious, depressed.
How do I cope with that mix?
They rage and swirl within,
Each one trying to be the dominant.

Anxious, depressed, happy.
They fluctuate deep inside.
I can feel them shifting, writhing,
Breaking me from inside out.

Depressed, happy, anxious.
I can feel them colliding,
Tearing me apart bit by bit,
Leaving scars on my shattered soul.

The Poet has the strength to go where ordinary writers do not wish to go. I'm not saying that ordinary writers don't ever visit these places, but a poet understands more...sees more...feels more...feels the inuendos, feels the rythm of the emotion and you certainly do. This is a simple poem. No superfluous words. No dramatic moments. But what it does have, is emotion, and I felt it in bucketfulls.

Nice.

I can't believe I haven't replied to this yet. I apologize for that.

This was a great review. Thank you very much. I try to make most of my poems have emotion, because most of the time when I write them, my own emotions are overflowing.
