Dean Warner Intrigues - 24. Epilogue

EPILOGUE

Dean finished out the semester wearing the vest. While sweaters worked in March and April, he had to get some looser Polo's for May. With no new threats, and at the concurrence of the FBI and his personal security, he shed the vest after the end of the semester. He enrolled in the summer session and took twelve credit hours and studied constantly. With the fall semester he officially became a senior in college. He did buy a 2008 Prius for his twenty-second birthday and enjoyed the great gas mileage as gas prices soared. He graduated the following June 2009 'magna cum laude' having maintained a high grade point average.

In July 2009 after graduating, Dean and John traveled to Boston and got married. Both families came and it was a joyous occasion. Even Sean made the trip. After a honeymoon in a B&B in New Hampshire, they returned home and resided in the condo. Dean enrolled in and took the Becker CPA Review course and later that fall took the CPA test and passed all the parts with high marks. With his income from the trust, he opened his own accounting firm with offices in the same building as John's law firm. By the next tax season he was generating a positive cash flow and was pleased.

The intrigue was over. Life was normal and good with no more worries about the mob; and the excitement was in the bedroom where it belonged.

THE END

As previously noted, this is my first posted story and I have been truly amazed at the response and the number of readers who have viewed all the chapters. Thanks to all of you. I will try to do better in the future and I hope I can maintain your interest with a good story, told well.

I enjoyed the story. The only criticism I would have has already been said (too much needless detail), and you already responded to that. I'm good.

I am looking forward to your next story. It can only get better.

Cheers

Thanks for taking the time to read my story and review. I really appreciate it. I do have some other stories in the works.

I also think it was a good story for youre first try but i think it lacked suspense and real action like a kidnapping of dean, or a blackmail that would draw dean out.

Nonetheless i want to read more from you - practice makes perfekt^^

While it started as an intrigue, it did turn out to be more of a relationship story. And I will keep practicing! Thanks for your comment and review!

Well, i am a sucker for happy endings, and you came through, success in business, marriage, and the implication of a " happily ever after". Great story, and hope you post something else soon.thumbsupsmileyanim.gif
Thanks Joann I'm so glad you read and enjoyed my story. I don't have anything written that I am close to posting. It will probably be in the spring before that happens. I am working on a sci-fi fantasy story but it is driving me nuts at the present time.

From start to finish and everything in between, what an absolutely wonderful story

The epilogue was short and sweet with a nice wrap up on a positive note.

Only, poor Sean hasn't found Mr. Right.

Maybe you could do a short story with an HEA for him?

Just a thought to ponder.

Thanks for your kind words and reviews! I like stories where the good guys win. Poor Sean, I've been trying to get into writing a story about him finding love at last, but without much luck as of yet. ..

I am so glad the recent notice brought me to this tale. From the first chapter on I was grabbed and twisted and yanked through the angst but also the tenderness. What wonderful families your guys have. Well drawn and hard to put down so I am wondering if the detail issue is not as serious on a through reading as it was in serial? It was annoying enough at times that I noticed it before I saw the comments but I didn't find it as serious as some did.
Thanks Dave. I think I liked this more than Abel but they are both well drawn adventures. Thanks for these as well as your comments which are usually well worth reading.

I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for reading both my stories and commenting. When I posted this story, all the chapters were put up within a month. As my first effort, I tried to write sympathetic characters that people could connect with.
