Growing Wings And Other Things - 10. Chapter 10

They don't talk like they used to
Everybody is so consumed with time
And I was so consumed about the fact
That my rhymes never even rhymed
They just stand there on the street corner
Watching and waiting for a caller
For a job for money
To make months end

Or I end up singing them
I can't even remember when

I can't help that my family was somewhat fortunate
And yet here I sit
With this mess
That I hardly consider my best
And no one would even spend a dime
Or give their time
For my Rhyme
