Demon of fire and other poems of lust, insanity and devotion - 10. Demon of fire

You’ve crawled inside my veins like liquid fire,

My soul is not my soul, I have forgone it.

What is this that you’ve done? How have you done it?

I’m burning from within with raw desire.

I can’t think on my own, I’m but a puppet,

I can’t seem to react when I’m beside you.

My heart, my soul, my mind, you have subdued,

it’s as if my whole self has been corrupted.

You’ve crawled inside my veins, I can’t deny it,

Cause I can think of nothing but your body,

On everything your heart and soul embody,

What is this that you’ve done? How have you done it?

My life is not my own, you own my heartbeat.

My heart beats up in sync with your own breathing,

When I’m not by your side my heart is bleeding,

You’ve crawled inside my veins, how have you done it?

I need to have you now! I need your fire!

What is this that you’ve done? How have you done it?

My soul is not my soul, I have forgone it.

I’m burning from within with liquid fire.

You’ve crawled inside my veins like raw desire,

I can’t live anymore without your presence,

My soul is full of you, full of your essence,

My heart belongs to you, demon of fire!
