A Second Dance

   (4 reviews)
Two men standing in front of a wedding reception's gazebo.

Jace never thought he'd see Louis again, especially not at a wedding packed with old faces and even older drama. One encounter is all it takes for old feelings to come flooding back, making it impossible to pretend the past never happened. As the reception unfolds, Jace is forced to face just how much he's still carrying and, maybe, what he still wants.

This a wonderful piece of writing from @BendtedWreath and @CassieQ

We join Jace and Louis, ex besties at a wedding, packed with old faces and plenty of drama.

Let's join them at the wedding, as old feelings come flooding back.

A great story, that I recommend reading.

Response from the author:

Many thanks!

A Second Dance is a testament to what a well-written story it is.  @BendtedWreath and @CassieQ did a magnificent job of seamlessly combining their talents. The telling was so engaging that I actually forgot there was only one chapter.

Old feelings are brought to bear when two former best friends meet again at a wedding. A falling out over misunderstandings and an inability to communicate on both their parts led to a devastating parting of ways. Have they matured enough to finally voice their true feelings?

Some really great happenings are packed into this short story.  @BendtedWreath and @CassieQ have delightful side looks at past happenings as well as the drama happening between old friends.  I especially like how Mariah and Gloria remembered interactions, and how it resembled some of Dahlia's actions.

The whole story is well worth reading.
