Twenty-Eight Years Later - 4. Chapter 4

New Kid In School Chapter 72 - Ryan's Recovery

I called Tyler again right after we finished eating.

“Hey, Randy. You have any news?”

“Yeah. Sean’s probably going to jail.”

“WHAT?!?!?”

I told him most of what happened at Sean’s house.

“Wow. I bet you’re glad I stopped by and said Ryan was going over there.”

“Very. Thanks for letting me know.”

“Hey, that’s what friends are for, right?”

“Yeah. There’s more Tyler, but it’s not about Ryan.”

“O…K.”

“Ariel kind of figured out that we had a thing.”

“Oh, no. That can’t be good. I almost said something to him about it before, but I didn’t want to overwhelm him. How did he figure it out?”

“Well, I mentioned that you had come over. He seemed worried that I did more than console you. He asked if I’d done anything with you. I kind of fucked up when I said ‘today? No.’ He pushed, I wouldn’t answer and he hung up on me.”

“He called while I was over there, he told mom he’d call back after dinner. I hope he still does.”

“He will. He just needs time to come to terms with it all.”

“I hope so. Guess I just gotta wait. Thanks for the heads up.”

“You’re welcome. If I need to step up to try to help more, you know I will.”

“Yeah. See you in school tomorrow.”

“Bye.”

Mr. Hatcher came by about an hour after mom and I cleaned up from dinner. I ran to the door when the bell rang, anxious to know how Ryan was doing.

“Hi, Mr. Hatcher, come on in.”

“Thank you, Randy.”

“Mom, Mr. Hatcher’s here.”

Mom stepped out of the kitchen, “Would you like something to eat or drink, Mr. Hatcher?”

“Evan, please. If you’ve got coffee, that’d be great.”

“And I’m Lisa. I brewed a pot when Randy said you’d be over. Milk, sugar, black?”

“Just a bit of sugar, thanks.”

Mom came into the living room with two coffees a minute later, “So, how is Ryan?”

“Just generally sick right now. The doctors think he was given trazodone; basically, a sleeping pill. All of his symptoms point to that. But they’ll have the drug screen back in the morning.”

I had to know more detail, “What kind of symptoms?”

“Well, once they were able to wake him up, drowsiness, obviously, nausea, vomiting, and dizziness as well. They suspect the dose was more than a normal dose, but not enough to cause more severe symptoms, like an irregular heartbeat, or low blood pressure.”

Mom asked, “So, he’ll recover completely?”

“Yes. No long-term effects are expected.”

“That’s awesome. Can he have visitors?”

“Well, it’s too late for tonight, Randy, and the doctors don’t see a reason to keep him more than overnight. I’ll be picking him up lunchtime, so you can go see him after school tomorrow.”

I pouted, obviously hoping to see him sooner, but at least I know he’s going to be okay. I had another question.

“Did the police say anything about Sean?”

“Aside from he’ll be facing criminal charges, Randy, he’ll probably be in juvenile detention until he’s eighteen. Your video will go a long way toward a conviction. Although, I suspect he’ll try to plea bargain for lesser offenses.”

“He’ll live, though?”

“Yeah. He was pretty fortunate; he didn’t badly damage any major organs when he stabbed himself. Just nicked his liver if what I heard is correct.”

I was about to say that’s too bad but caught myself. I knew mom wouldn’t appreciate me wishing bad on anybody. But he’d be one who would deserve it.

Mom invited Ryan and his father over for dinner the next night if Ryan did get out of the hospital.

The next day, school dragged all morning. When art class began, Ariel didn’t say much, although he did apologize for hanging up on me and said would explain more at lunch.

Cody showed up at lunch, looking around, leery that Sean’s arrival was imminent.

I told him, “He’s not coming today.”

“Really? Cool. Oh, wait, Ryan’s not here. They’re not…”

“They’re both in the hospital, although Ryan might be home by now.”

“Hospital? What the fuck?”

I filled him in on most of the details, leaving out exactly what Sean had done to Ryan.

“That is so fucked up. I knew he’d do what he could to break you up, but basically starting to rape Ryan? That’s sick, even for him.”

I had to agree.

I don’t think I caught anything any of my teachers said after lunch. I was too preoccupied with wanting to go see Ryan after school. I could have left after lunch and not missed any more than I did anyway.

I got to Ryan’s in record time after school. I rang the bell and although it seemed like forever until he answered the door, it was probably only a little slower than usual.

“Hi, Randy. Come on in.”

“Hi, Ryan. How are you feeling?”

“Tired. I bet a little like you were, hungover from the make-out party.”

“Who knew they spiked the punch?”

“Yeah. So, dad didn’t have any details, and the cops couldn’t talk to me in the hospital because I was so out of it. What the fuck happened at Sean’s?”

“I still can’t believe you went over there.”

“He promised me we were going to work on the drama project. I guess I believed him one too many times. Dad said he got stabbed?”

I walked Ryan through everything that I saw and told him I recorded almost all of it.

“That was smart. Otherwise, it would have been your word against his. Although me not remembering anything after drinking the hot chocolate might have swung the belief your way. I’m sorry I didn’t listen to you about him. He just seemed like a flirt to everybody, I didn’t think he’d really try anything.”

“Well, Tyler let me know you were going over there. Neither one of us believed it would have been an innocent visit.”

“I guess it wasn’t. Thanks again. I’d really thank you, if you know what I mean, but I’m still pretty tired from getting knocked out.”

“You’re welcome. No worries about more thanking. I’ll give you a rain check. Your dad said the drug screen would be done this morning. Was it the traxidone he said the doctors suspected?”

“Trazodone, yeah. Sounds like I got a triple dose. Enough to knock me out, but not enough to cause any permanent damage. I don’t know where he could have gotten it.”

“Your dad said it was essentially a sleeping pill. Maybe it was his mother’s.”

“I guess that’s possible. Wanna lie down with me on my bed? We can at least cuddle and kiss a little.”

“I’m not turning down that invitation.”

We kissed and cuddled for a while and then Ryan fell back asleep. I didn’t think it would have been a good idea to leave without letting him know, so I laid with him until Mr. Hatcher came home.

“Ryan?”

Mr. Hatcher looked into Ryan’s room a few minutes after he walked into the house.

“Oh, hi, Randy. He’s sleeping?”

“Yeah. We were talking, and, um… well, he fell asleep after a period of quiet.”

“I see you both have clothes on, so I’ll guess the ‘um’ was cuddling or something like that,”

“Uh, yeah.”

“Don’t worry about it, Randy. I’m used to the idea of you two being ‘together,’ don’t be afraid of using terms like that, or kissing. I just don’t want more detail than that.”

“Hehehe. Okay. I’m going to head home. See you guys in a while for dinner?”

“Yes, tell your mom we’ll be there in about a half hour.”

“Will do. See you then.”

It took almost forty-five minutes by the time Mr. Hatcher was able to wake Ryan up enough to leave. Mom immediately asked him how he was doing.

“Still tired. But other than that, I feel fine. I get a little dizzy if I sit up too fast, but that should go away too, according to the doctor.”

“Well, I’m very happy there should be no lingering effects, and Sean didn’t do anything too damaging.”

“Yeah, and what Randy told me he did do, I don’t remember any of that. No PTSD from it, I guess.”

After that, and during dinner, the conversation was pretty tame. Between Matt, Sam, Tyler, Ariel and I, we were able to get all of Ryan’s missed homework assignments. The rest of them must have dropped it off just before he came over for dinner. He was planning on resting more tomorrow and going back to school on Thursday. That made me want to ditch to spend the day with him, but then he’d miss tomorrow’s history homework since only I shared that class with him. After we ate, we went up to my room so I could help him finish his homework. Of course, I was probably more of a hindrance to him, stopping us too often for a kiss.

Mom and Mr. Hatcher spoke quite a while too. The crazy thought went through my mind that maybe they’d start dating. But I didn’t even know if mom an dad were officially divorced. We’d just finished Ryan’s homework, and one last kissing session when Mr. Hatcher said he was leaving. Ryan decided to leave with him. I could see he was pretty tired, so as much as I wanted to, I didn’t put up a fight.

The next day in school felt like a week. I couldn’t wait until it was over so I could go see Ryan. I told everyone at lunch that Ryan was home and probably coming back to school the next day. The afternoon dragged as well. I hoped Ryan would be up for some fun after school; in more ways than one, hehehe.

I rang Ryan’s doorbell after school; he opened the door just a bit.

“Anybody around?”

I looked around, “Nope.”

He opened the door the rest of the way, naked as the day he was born.

“Ryan, geez!”

“You said nobody was around.”

“Don’t just stand there, let me in.”

He moved aside and I walked past him. He closed the door and ran past me toward the stairs. I took the hint and followed. He stopped me before we entered his bedroom.

“Pay the toll.”

“What?”

“Kiss me, you idiot.”

I did. We went in his bedroom, and he immediately started undressing me. After he pulled my boxers down, he attacked my dick like it was an oasis in the middle of the desert.

“Oh, God.”

He grabbed my butt cheeks, spun me around and gently pushed me toward the bed, taking off my pants and underwear the rest of the way as we went. I flopped on my back and he lifted my legs onto the bed. He reached into his nightstand and grabbed his tube of lube. He rubbed it on me then turned around to let me prepare the area. Other than applying the lube, I had surprisingly little to do.

Ryan straddled me, “You ready?”

I looked down at my dick in response. I don’t think I’ve ever been harder, “What do you think?”

Ryan smiled and started lowering himself onto me. It took him a moment to get the angle right, but once he did and I began entering him, he dropped the rest of the way very quickly.

“Wow, that was a first.”

He didn’t respond, just leaned forward to kiss me. Once our lips met, he began rocking on me. I thought I was going to explode right away when he leaned back. But he leaned forward again and the immediate need to cum let up. He rocked on me, back and forth like that for a few minutes until I couldn’t hold back anymore. I apparently made my little orgasm noise again, because Ryan giggled a little bit.

“You just love that little noise, don’t you?”

“Just one of the many things I love about you.”

We switched positions and it was my turn to ride Ryan. I wiggled around a bit to see if I could get Ryan to hit my, as Ariel would call it, my birthday spot. Once I found the right position, I made sure to hit it on every downward thrust. It didn’t take me long to cum again. That set Ryan off as well, and he filled my ass with a few days' worth of cum.

It was heaven.

Afterward, sweaty, we laid down a bit, and both fell asleep. Neither one of us heard Ryan’s dad come home until he looked in the room, “Oh. Shit. I’m sorry.”

Ryan grabbed the blanket to pull over us, but the horses had already left the barn.

Ryan’s dad backed into the hallway, “I, um, figured you’d be here, Randy, so I stopped at Harold’s Chicken Shack. Um, come, um, it’ll be downstairs when you’re ready.”

Ryan couldn’t hold back the laughter after he commented, “In the kitchen, right?”

“Yeah.”

Aside from his dad walking in on us, I could spend the rest of my life like this.

OK, I know Trazodone doesn’t work that quickly. Although it is pretty quick when the wife takes it.
