Colorado Game - 29. Chapter 29

CHAPTER *29*

"Okay... so what do I do? Pretend I don't know who he is?" I asked later that night. I was lying in bed, waiting for Ross to join me.

He was undressing, putting away his clothes, and I followed his every move. It was fun watching him go through his routine, partly because he was kinda anal about it. I just dumped mine on the foot-end of the bed,
where I'd find them in the morning. I also had refreshed myself by taking a short shower while he'd been going through his mail and made some calls that couldn’t wait. He raised an eyebrow at me while closing the door to his walk-in closet.

"Why would you do that?" I shrugged and he pulled back the covers on his side. "You can't fool Kyle that easily. Besides, he probably already knows exactly who you are."

"I hate this crap, you know," I said, scooting down and turning onto my side to face him.

"Then stop worrying about it. You'll be fine," Ross said, doing the same and facing me. "Just blow them out of the water with a great score, do the job and get out. The sooner you're gone from there, the better I'll feel about it."

"Is that so?" I asked, grinning. "Why? Afraid he's going to steal me away from you?"

"You don't know Kyle. He's quite a charmer," he replied, moving a little closer.

"Mmm, so are you," I smiled, pressing my cheek against his fingers. "From what I hear he's a Latino. Kinda hot?"

"I'll give you hot in a minute if you don't stop that line of thought," he replied, quickly moving on top of me and rising up on his arms. "I should be occupying that spot in your mind."
He set a hand on my right side, close to my head and I laughed softly.

"Oh, believe me; you do," I assured him, reaching down to cup his bare behind, caressing the warm flesh.
He pushed his hips down, pressing his rising erection to my leg.

"Good," he whispered, bringing his head down, nipping my lips with his. “I love you.”

Somehow, that night, he was rougher than usual; like he was trying to print himself onto me. His movements were urgent but it took him a lot longer to climax, as if he was delaying it. It always took a while for him to get there, a quarter of an hour was no exception, but that night he took a long time. His mouth constantly sought mine and he stayed as close as possible, pressing me onto the mattress pretty hard. Still, it was enjoyable but I had to ask. So when we were done and he was just lying there, panting heavily, I rose up and moved onto his chest, placing my chin on my hand.

"That was a little rough, wasn't it?" I whispered.

"Did I hurt you?" he asked, a look of worry immediately coming into his eyes.
I shook my head and smiled.

"No, not at all. It's just... Ross, are you worried that Kyle is going to try something on me? Is that it?"

"No," he said, quickly. Then he sighed. "Yes."

"Do you trust me?" I asked.

"Absolutely. But I don't trust him. Mark... he... Kyle, he's very, you know... sexy."

"So are you. Very sexy, if you ask me," I replied and meaning it. The corner of his mouth lifted up a little. "Ross, I understand where you're coming from, I really do, but you don't have to worry. I'm a big boy. I can handle that walking pile of shit."

"Try ‘walking pile of pheromones'," he replied sourly.

"Ross, he could be the world's hunkiest guy; I'll make goo-goo eyes at you only, okay?" I said, brushing my lips over his.

His arms wound tightly around my waist and he opened his mouth, allowing his tongue to slip out and between my lips. I worked my way on top of him, enjoying the kiss and his warmth beneath me.

"I love you," he whispered.

"I love you too, you big oaf," I whispered back.

I didn't really think about it, it felt the natural thing to say, but he froze beneath me and stared at me for a long time.

"Thank you. I needed that," he smiled, kissing me again and when it ended, and he lay his head back on the pillow, his eyes were suspiciously moist. Was he going emotional on me? "You said it. You said it and I didn't even ask for it."

You know... you have no idea how happy someone can look. How that suddenly causes his (or her, for that matter) eyes to shine in a way that's quite blinding. If it's between two people, of any make or preference, who actually feel that way, it's the three words I had uttered just now, without even realizing it consciously, that cause it.
I. Love. You. Somehow I had said it and I also realized that I meant it, too. Very much so, actually. Weird. Then he pushed me off of him and rolled on top of me.

"Say it again," he whispered. I looked up at his expectant face and started to grin.

"Now you are making me say it," I said.
He growled threateningly but smiled and sniffled.

"Please?"
I said it again, not just because he asked for it but also because I wanted to.
