Poems, Old and New - 2. Hastings Town
The sun is setting on the sand,
The seagulls are flying inland.
Everybody is heading home,
The night is coming like a dome.
Night is coming to Hastings town,
Everywhere is quiet with no sound.
Now it’s night,
The kids take flight.
The clubs are open now.
But don’t have too many,
Or you’ll not have a penny.
And one last warning,
About the morning…
(You’ll regret it!)
