Poetry Fail - 1. #1

I cannot help but stare
I avert my eyes
I focus on meaningless distractions
But I cannot help but stare.

Your beauty is unavoidable
Your charm is forced upon me
I try to treat you as I treat all others
But I cannot help but stare.

Your smile is my oxygen
Your touch is my aphrodisiac
Your spoken word is my angel's song
Still, I cannot help but stare.

If only the promise of a single kiss was real
If only you returned the way I feel
If only your forbidden fruit could be unpealed
No...never to be mine...

And still, I can't help but stare.

Well, it was definitely a Comsie style poem :)

You didn't need to add anything more, I pictured the rest, you gave all the significators needed to open it.

Really sweet. Thanks for participating and sharing this rare delight :D !

Nice. I'm a poet first and this was very good. I could feel the desire, yet your reticence, the feeling that you can look only is very evident.

I know that poetry is not your forte, but you did very well on this. And I agree with what tim said; they were full of feelings and you just made me stare...
