A very moving account of a young man with a not uncommon physical disability, one which due to its nature, many would prefer not to know or discuss. @Gary L presented the physical disability factually, without melodrama or apology, which I found very effective in demonstrating the discrimination and indignities suffered by the young man. The "real" tragedy of the physical disability was the impact it has had on the young man's self-esteem.

The scene with the loo attendant was invented. The rest true.  I’m celebrating 50 years of living with UC.  I got lucky and have had great drs.
