Marc Wynn has accompanied his beloved aunt to estate sales for years, but he's never found anything he couldn't live without-until he meets Sawyer Calhoun. Sawyer wastes no time in revealing his romantic interest in Marc, but their promising first evening ends badly with Sawyer as adamant about broadcasting his sexuality as Marc is about hiding his. But when Sawyer hires Marc to restore his grandfather's house, their intense attraction grows into an emotional connection neither can resist. During the renovations, surprises come to light, and Sawyer must face his past when a tragedy threatens Marc's livelihood.

One of the best stories to grace the pages of Gay Authors and it has it all, romance...some odd characters...mystery...humor, think ice-cold bottle of Ensure...an old victorian mansion with secret staircases, a missing will...and finding the strength to bust open a closet door...

Be prepared, once you start, you'll find it difficult to put down!!!

This story has all the elements a good love story should have.Good characters, dramatic moments and humor in all the right places. What sets this author apart is her unique way of telling the story. She share's all the qualities of other excellent GA authors but has certain ones of her own others don't have and if you're unfamiliar with her  stories this will become apparent with the first couple of chapters. Highly recommended

This is a wonderful romantic story.  It holds out the hope for great restorations of more than one house.  The characters are lovable and so real.  There is also a great deal of humor that adds spice to this entertaining story. It is a well written novel you will dearly cherish.  Enjoy reading it.

In reading the reviews submitted by my fellow readers, and particularly that of @raven1, I have come to the view the story title may not be limited to the 'great restorations' of the homes inherited by Sawyer and Marc, the mill purchased by Marc and the riverside properties to be developed by Bruce. The 'great restorations' may apply equally and perhaps more importantly, to the lives of the two main protagonists, Sawyer and Marc.

When they meet each in his own way is merely existing, not living life authentically and fully, both lives tinged with sadness and regret. Ultimately both their lives are turned upside down by events sad, painful and joyous, leading to a happiness and contentment neither could possibly have imagined before meeting, in essence a 'great restoration' of the happiness and contentment they had at one time in their past experienced.

As also noted by my fellow readers, all kudos to the author, @Libby Drew, for this most marvellous of works. Read it and reap the rewards.

Great Restorations is quite simply a lovely romance. Marc and Sawyer meet, find that they are deeply attracted to one another, face obstacles and challenges and ultimately find joy and peace together.

Now that the story is complete, I'm sure this will be a binge read over a long holiday weekend. 😀

Beautiful story settled in picturesque landscape with wonderful Victorian mansions, adapted watermill…place like a fairytale kingdom you would like to visit. This scenery is perfect for a love story. Mark, closeted local constructor specialized in adapting old houses; and Sawyer, journalist form the town, open with his sexuality. With elements of mystery, the story evolving around love, family and neighborhood acceptance. Mark, with selfish parents travelling around the world, raised by an aunt and Sawyer, estranged from his brother, both discovers who their real family and support are. Above all, this story shows that small place and ordinary people might be more acceptable and supporting than some around the globe travelers, fighting for the world peace but unable to bring love and support for their own child.
