The Right Timing

Liam Fenton was Bas's first major crush in college.  When Liam stood him up on a date, asking for a rain check, Bas figured their timing was not right.  They meet again after six years.  Bas has scars from a failed marriage and a volatile ex-husband.   Liam has thought about Bas and their missed date for years.  After they meet, Liam decides to take the chance fate has given him and works to get to know Bas better.

We all sometimes get caught up in our hectic lives and miss opportunities.  Sometimes they're an opportunity for advancement, or an opportunity to improve a part of your life through physical fitness or a hobby, and then there's the missed opportunities when it comes to romance.  This is a well-written and enjoyable story about how one man gets to overcome the feeling of loss after missing out on one of these opportunities.  I hope you read this short story and enjoy it as much as I did.
