Themed collections of tradional poetic forms.
Haiku is tradional three-line poetry that conforms to syllable rules, not rhyming rules. Tanka is a longer five-line form with similar rules. Some people say that learning to write haiku teaches you to make every word count. I don't know, but it sure makes you think. Sometimes when I have writers block I use haiku and tanka as a means to jumpstart the writing process again because the form is so restrictive. The following collections are the result.
