Haiku and Tanka - 7. Nature

Nature

Silver, silken thread

woven delicately there

where the spider waits

Striped yellow and black

Sips nectar and spreads pollen

Bumblebees at work

Marching in a row

Following the scent trail laid

Working for their queen.

Green, wiggly, crawly,

Hunching its way up a tree

See the inchworm go

Snow-in-Summer blooms

A blanket of white on green

Flowers so pretty grow

Bloodsuckers

Small vampire-like

Mosquitoes

Green and blue

Mosquito fighters

Dragonflies

A leaf on a twig

Hiding in plain sight, hungry

Praying Mantis waits

Newly emerged, wet

Slowly pumping unfurled wings

Glorious color

Searching antennae, sensing

Time to fly is nigh -- rebirth

Hairy vine

Tripod leaves, white fruit

Poison Ivy

Hmmm... Interesting take on nature, you could have focussed on the most popular themes of nature, but you went to the different direction focussing on the beauty of insects, our alien like creatures. You didn't need more description, you brought the images matter of factly.

I liked this again, you depict the beauty of the not so obvious. Starting with the spider and ending with the poison ivy... In between the mosquitos... Every creature do have a place in the nature.
