Haiku and Tanka - 9. Seasons

Seasons

Blooms, green leaves

falling, crunching, dead

bare branches

Fragrant breezes blow

pollen laden bees buzz by

spring is in the air

Soft grass, warm sun, rain

moon lit nights, walks on the beach

dew at dawn, then frost

blankets toasty fire, cuddling

crisp days, snow, the seasons change

new birth, candy hearts,

green beer, queer fools, pastel eggs,

planting trees, earth day,

memories, red - white - and blue,

screams, vets, fowl, pie, mistletoe

Celestial Dancers,

Perpetually partnered

for eternity

from east to west locked in step

as the seasons pass on by

Awakening Soul

ample sowing of the seed

maturation comes

death throws, labor pains, fruit bore

heavy slumber, life eternal

trick or treat

Halloween is here

get your goods

oh so blue

is the sky in the

springtime, yeah.

delicate pink, sweet

apple blossoms in full bloom

now spring has arrived

graceful bare branches

reaching for snow laden clouds

winter's dance begins
