Jack Deveraux's Story

   (2 reviews)
Genres: General Fiction
Sub-genres: Drama

An episode in Jack Deveraux's life, a story of, loss, disappointment, acceptance, self discovery and circumstance. He starts going into a depression, luckily for him there are some good people around. This is how Jack deals with it, could he have done better? I don't know, do you?

It's all about Jack Deveraux and an episode of his life. The original title was The Death of a Broken Spirit but I decided to change it because it's not about death. Yes there is a death in the story but it's really about a birth, or to be more accurate a rebirth, confused? Read on and it will all become clear, it did to Jack.

This is a jewel of a piece.  Jack has screwed up, very badly and hardly knows why.  This v short story is the tale of his redemptive journey through his community service.  It also serves as a good intro to the author’s longer work.
a great read from one of my new favourites on GA.

I have to admit, that I'm not a huge fan of short stories since they often feel rushed and sometimes fail to respect "show don't tell" because their time is limited. But as @Gary L said in his review, it's technically a very solid story and showcase of the development and the potential of an author 👍
